  1. What spells are you using at this moment and what kind of wizard are you trying to play as? In my opinion i would say that Wizards are very limited in what they can do and how. At first i was thinking of saying that they are weak but... Thats not true either. The main goal should be to CC the enemies. If you use a AOE ability there is a red area and a yellow area, the red area will most of the time deal damage to everyone. However the yellow area will only damage enemies. You should try to have a tank and then use chokepoints, while you have the wizard cast things like Slicken (level one CC aoe spell) This will knock the enemies down. Your tank can stand within the yellow area and if you are unsure just make sure that there is no "attack target" mark under any of your characters when throwing the spell. Also it should be noted that not every spell will have a negative effect on your character if you stand within the area.
  2. Anyone in Sweden that have it yet? Also the shipping is due to well taxes and other things
  3. Well i'm not sure what kind of party you have. But go in, with one character lets say the tank or a pet, start conversation. Pause the moment you are done. Start running back so that you create a small choke point and if you have a wizard throw a CC on the stairs. If you dont have any CC. Then gather the characters up and start buffing with any kind of armor buff while throwing heals (priest). Remember that if you have a wizard you can throw aoe "past" allies aslong as the allies stand within the yellow area. This will allow you to deal a lot of aoe damage on the enemy. Remember to use any kind of knock down abilities that your fighter might have. If you have characters with charm use that ability also. Anyway a few pointers: AOE: Yellow = hits enemies only, Red hits everyone (note that some spells ignore both) Armor buffs are great and should be up at all times Use crowd control Use choke points
  4. I found it clear atleast on the Knight side, the commander said something like "if you do this then they will consider you a enemy" (or something close to that)
  5. Go to any kind of corner / choke point. The first floor can be hard and the last floor also. If you go to the top then head down in the south area. Next to the wall there are some barrels / boxes. You can stand there and then you will have a decent choke point.
  6. From my experience now its not worth playing a godlike, there are hardly any RP reasons even when you get a companion that is a godlike you (i guess) have the same questions as a non-godlike. The race stats / buffs are not good enough to make you not want to use a helm. Besides... Why would your character NOT be able to use a helm? I get that there is a "standard" type of helm within the game world but... just walk into random smith and say that you want a custom helm. Is there a reason as to why a smith would not want to do it?
  7. Thanks for taking the time to make this. Its a very interesting read
  8. So they have said that its a bug? Well in either case i agree with Sensuki that it should be kept as a feature.
  9. About quickslots i can think of a way. Have a few slots lets say 1-6 these are for the character you are on at that moment. Hold ctrl or shift + 2 to switch to a backup bar (takes that ones space) press the same keys to switch back (for that character). 7-0 are skills you will always see. Lets say there is a picklock skill or a stealth skill or town portal (just a example). This one is always up no mater what character you have selected. You can switch these by having like with the other bar (but another hotkey command) There are also arrows ^ or down if you want to switch the bars using the mouse. You could have more backup bars then one allowing you to customize abit more... Anyway my 2cent.
  10. I want a ui that is not "floating" it should have enough quick slots so that you can have the things you want. Each character should have his/her oown quick slots. Quick slots should be 1-0 or 1-9. All the important ui elements should be on the screen. Inv, text (event / dmg) journal, character info, health / character "mana" (or whatever they have), buffs / debuffs and so on. I dont think there is a need for a giant BG ui. But i dont like the "super none ui" ways to do them either. There should be some stuff on the sceen. I guess i can make a fast job in paint or something for a few ways that i like... Later when i have time.
  11. Have you completed the pledge management process? That one only appears after you complete it. I didn't get my silver badge until after I completed the pledge management. Cant... For some reason it wont allow me to select international backer so i have 20$ unspent. I cant even "donate" it because the page will tell me to change my country then. So yeah im stuck At step 1 of the pledge management(page where you simply see your pledge listed) look at the bottom where it says "Missing a pledge? Have a question or a problem? Contact us!" and click on the words "Contact Us". That will take you to a page with a text box where you can explain your problem to Obsidian and they'll likely contact you back with some sort of solution. Or you can click on the link in this post(above) or you can try sending a PM to Fionavar( http://forums.obsidian.net/user/49-fionavar/ ) I'm sure they'll help you sort this out. Yeah i did im waiting on a reply. Thanks

  13. Sure why not? Aslong as you get the founding for it and aslong as no other area get less quality because of this. No i dont care if you have to delay the game for it. The main reason is that i would rather have a high quality game then a rushed mess where the quality is lower. If you think you can do it... go for it.
  14. would love to see a improved ToEE combat system... Sure while i can still play with RTwP i would prefer turnbased. So i voted turnbased also hello codex
  15. Oh yeah - need a trapdoor to get up onto the tower rooves. Quick Q: Those completed buildings in the stronghold - will they all have an interior? Some? Ah yes thats the word! Thanks! That really depends on the backstory. Why was the stronghold abandoned? Is it believed to be haunted, with the spirits of the dead killing anyone who spends the night? Then villagers who live nearby may have just enough courage to go there at noon and steal bricks and stones to use for building that new barn, but not enough to actually repair the buildings and live there. Hmm maybe... But its more likely that its a design overlook.
  16. I do have a few problems with the stronghold. Sure i like the progress you guys are doing. But well i should still give some feedback. Also yes i know its a work in progress and yes i know its not the entire stronghold. To start with the left screenshot: *The towers / walls are broken and missing bricks / planks yet there are no bricks / planks under the walls. - Also the stronghold is way to clean. Even if it was falling apart. *The buildings locations are... strange. *If you compare the 3 buildings falling apart to the one to the top right its day and night... Why are all the other buildings that broken yet that one is "new" (well a broken door and a few broken windows?) Then we have the right screenshot: *The trees are not cut outside the walls. You as a defender would not want them to get to close to the walls They should be removed / cut down even some of the trees on the other side of the road. *Why are the trees cut down at the meeting point? I can understand the forest inside the wall at the lower right... Both: *Why is there no way for the defenders to get ontop of the towers? All the towers are missing the... Well the doors that lead ontop...I dont know the words for them. *The dirt road leading into the fortress is aligned wrong. At this moment it go under the tower. Other then that... if i understand it correctly we will get stats by building things in the fortress i dont see... why our character should get a point in int for building something inside a castle.
  17. I would rather have them push it back if they need more time to work on the game. Im sure there will be a few people that will cry on the forum saying that the world will end and how the devs are evil people and blah blah blah. But aslong as the game is good when its released people wont care. Good game means that they will sell more and people will talk about it more and so on. Make a bad one and well they will have killed their reputation. So take the time needed to make it good / great!
  18. For me its a case of either go with a good durability system that adds something to the game or dont bother. having only armor and weapon / shields take damage and then its just a case of "oh but its not so bad when it do take damage" feels like something that was just thrown in (in my opinion).
  19. Well im not sure how to write this but i will give it a try anyway. The core problems for me are that gold in most cases dont make any sense for the game world that you play in. In my opinion gold coins or whatever currency you use... should be rare or hard to get. A enemy should not drop 1000's of gold coins if a piece of bread cost 1gold coin in the game world. There need to be a balance towards the lower scale so that money become something of value and something that you dont just "throw around". Do you bribe this person? What if i need to bribe someone else? Do i buy this scroll with magic that cost LOTS or would i rather get some armor. Do i spend money on this potion that give my character a temporary boost or do i save the money because i might need it later (not saying that potions should be super expensive but you should not be able to buy 1000's of potions of whatever type... ofc you have things like... the keep, mercenary heroes, bribes and more things to spend the money on... But overall it should feel like money have a value. Durability for me is a problem where the system is just "pointless" a "time sink / money sink". You either dont go far enough with it for there to be a reason to have durability or simply like i said above... its so easy that its of no importance anyway. Crafting for me is not something i enjoy most of the time. Mostly because i dont think i have found a system that i enjoy a lot. If i have to say one its when you combine parts of legendary weapons in some games. But i dont see much point in crafting if you are just going to make a "iron sword" if the economy of the game is such that iron swords grow on trees. I guess one could make crafting into something where you can craft some "good" things but you need rare / harder to get items to do it. Then combine it with some magic (this is for "good" items) and you can get a good item. But it should not be easy and it should not be stronger or worse then any other "good" item. It should more be a "side grade" a item choice... Do you enjoy these kinds of items or the other kinds of items. I dont think this made much sense i might rewrite it when im not so tired O.o
