  1. For me, a more exciting stretch goal would be something like 3 million-new region, 1 or 2 new factions, and mod kit. Maybe that's realisitic, maybe not, but more "swag" like mugs and crap don't really arouse my interest as much as an overall better game does.
  2. http://www.kickstart...steland-2/posts Here's the updates page for Wasteland 2. Tell me, what was so exciting about those updates in comparison to this? http://www.kickstart...-2/posts?page=3 Look at update #8 (count it EIGHT) on April 4, 2012 (that's with 13 days to go). They announced a bigger game, more artwork for weapons, more portraits, a mod kit, and some extra designers. Not all that exciting and not much more than is already expected from the Project: Eternity stretch goals except the mod kit.
  3. *looks at kickstarter page* Oh that's right there's still 15 days to go, a little under half of the entire kickstarter.
  4. What aren't you sure about?
  5. Sorry, how is skyrim better than oblivion? There's only one way i can think of and that dorsnt matter.
  6. The devs have already stated in the kickstarter updates that they do not want to restrict the origin of the PC at all, and instead let the players decide for themselves who they want to be in the game. The only "special" thing about the your character will be that at the beginning of the story you witness a supernatural event that affects both you and the world and shapes the events to come. But where you came from, what kind of person you are, and how you deal with these events is up to you. So since the devs have already made up their minds about this, it doesn't really make sense to request a stretch goal that does the opposite. I wasn't talking about having origin stories in this game. Also, having anorigin story doesn't nean your character is special and there will be one origin story in eternity.
  7. Including Cameos that just don't make sense is not a good stretch goal in my opinion. I would lose some respect for them if they did that.
  8. How are origin stories restrictive? Isn't having one origin more restrictive?
  9. Cameos really? That's frankly stupid. Your other ideas are not as interesting even as additional content, companions, classes, and factions. A new region is certainly exciting to me, moreso than a celebrity artist or some fan servicing cameo crap.
  10. I don't think your recollection of wastelands kickstarter is accurate. Obsidian has had more updates at this point than wasteland did and a lot of the later stretch goals didn't come about until later, such as the mod tools.
  11. It's not just multiplayer. That's just something they're releasing before the actual single player game. Supposedly they're going to use to balance the combat.
  12. Classes are definitely fine, especially in a party based game. I just hope that they make interesting classes with unique options and gameplay for each.
  13. Wasteland 2 Banner Saga Bioshock Infinite-maybe Shadowrun
  14. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012/09/28/impressions-the-banner-sagas-f2p-multiplayer/ All in all the game is looking very promising and I'm pretty excited for it.
  15. I hope that doesn't mean too much micro management, and that they can handle their inventories on their own if you so please. Or better yet, have a large shared party inventory, instead of being split between multiple characters. I hope it does mean a lot of micro management if you want to.
  16. This is a strange poll. I'll just go with, I want character creation to be something like D+D plus Fallout.
  17. I don't mind it. I don't care about you at all, so it's not really a problem for me. Because it's at the same time detailed, stylish and in may ways even historically accurate/believable (especially when it comes to armors)? Historically accurate? O_o
  18. I want to see the unique, the strange, and the fantastical. Don't be too generically medieval.
  19. Half-Life was released '98 and it's still very much playable. Actually I think it's still pretty good looking in it's own way. I would even go so far to say it has aged better than BG or PS:T when it comes to graphics, because it still has endless resolution options and you can even add filters like AA or Anistropic, which in the time of release were unheard of, but still make game look much better today. With BG you are stuck with tiny 800x600 resolution unless you use mods. Can you tell us what resolutions are we using in 10 years and how we ensure PE will still support them? You definitively can create timeless 3D art. 2D on the other hand might not be as timeless as you make it sound like. EDIT: But, I still want to say that whatever developers choose to do I'm sure I'll be fine with it. They know what they are doing. Is this for real? You can make timeless 3d art but you can't make timeless 2d art? Really? Get a grip.
  20. I don't know about anyone else but Baldur's Gate 2 still looks damn good.
  21. I don't think people want to play dress-up. I do think people like to be able to give their characters a "certain look" when they create them to greater or lesser degrees. That's dress up isn't it?
