  1. This thread is running off topic, and guns have been confirmed, so topic closed.
  2. I would be very surprised if they don't use Onyx or a heavily modified variation of Onyx.
  3. I've thought for a long time that a system similar to the one you suggest with exhaustion would work well. I'd add a system where higher level mages could mitigate exhaustion for low level spells. To take a D&D example, I think a 12th level mage should be able to cast magic missile as often as he wishes without a penalty with the caveat, of course, that low level spells should have limited to no use against similarly levelled enemies.
  4. A dynamic game economy would go a long way towards improving the problems with money in RPGs.
  5. Getting a hefty raise. I've already pledged $140 and I will probably raise that to 250.
  6. But you have no problem going up with a sword against a guy who can shoot fire out his ass (magic user)? Makes sense. As long as the magic user has to point his bum at you to get a hit, the fight should be considered fair.
  7. It doesn't matter, as long as it's well integrated within the setting. Enlightenment fantasy RPG?
  8. I only ever lurked the BIS boards. At that time my internet browsing was done mostly on my university's network so time was limited. Because we were playing LAN based Quake, instead.
  9. A death system similar to Storm of Zehir would be ideal. Also, if magical resurrection is used, party NPC feedback to deaths and resurrections should be done, in the interest of a game world that is reactive and alive. Aditionally, repeated resurrection should have increasing costs, monetary or otherwise.
  10. A lurker appears.
  11. Hey Alan. See you around my city.
  12. The Nasal epic, however, is still unwritten, and waiting brave discovery.
  13. I think Nose Mythology would be great new ground to explore in an RPG. The moral quandaries of the twin windy, jungle caverns of moist woe should be addressed. The war of the disgusting green beasties against the plight of the elements and the godless Digital Foes would make for a gripping tale.
  14. I never really got a lot of people's fascination with IPs and names. I really don't care whether a game is called Alpha Protocol 2, Theta Service Level Agreement, Planescape: Torment 2, or NonEuclideanSurfacescape: Annoyance. The point is whether a game includes game design I appreciate, like AP's dialogue system, Looking Glass Studios' design philosophy, or Torment's emphasis on non combat gameplay.
  15. The best bit is that the filter removes arse to leave anal, instead.
  16. I nearly made this very joke, but I wasn't sure how many people would get it anymore, even around here. That was a damned long time ago. Enough people is the answer. Damn Lithtech engine.
  17. You don't understand it because it's very silly.
  18. This might be Project Rhode Island, then?
  19. What happened to the States nomenclature?
