Serious Coop Camera?
What happened is that this isn't DS1 or 2. The gameplay is quite different, and as designed there's no point in allowing players to move completely away from each other. Note that the camera is, by all accounts, too cramped for three and four players. If that is your complaint, you are, by my estimation completely right in feeling aggrieved. For two players, however, which is what you seem to be doing, it is perfectly fine. There's absolutely no reason in the course of gameplay to leave your co-op partner standing somewhere. For reference, check the feedback from DS1 and 2 fans on the forums, at the time of release. Fans of the series were angry. Other people not so much.

SP:TSoT at Comic-Con
I thought some of the encounter design in MotB, SoZ and DS3 was quite great.

The joys of Philanthropy
American (and Canadian) university tuitions seem fairly ludicrous to Europeans, right up there with American health care costs. Here in Portugal, a public University sets you back 1000

Books we've been reading V2.0
I finished A Clash of Kings the other day, which I was reading more or less along with the series. It's horrible.

Your first Computer Specs
My first computer as ZX Spectrum 48K. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZX_Spectrum#ZX_Spectrum_16K.2F48K My first PC was a Hyundai XT, or maybe AT machine, with VGA graphics, one 3 1?2-inch floppy drive, and a 14" screen. Later on my Dad bought a mouse, but I never really got used to it until much later.

It's upgrade time
It just goes to show that people should always do what I tell them. If only my kids would listen.

More words on the monitor! Do you have your old monitor to compare?

What are you playing now?
Finished Missing Link last week, and found out it's the best Human Revolution has to offer. Much better than the actual game. Right now I'm playing Arkham City, New Vegas, and Last Remnant when possible.

Physics nerds like to party too.

What are you playing now?
Tomorrow I will, hopefully, play through the entirety of Missing Link and start a New Vegas playthrough.

new scientific discoveries
I once saw a lecture on the physics of beer in Dublin City University. I can't remember a thing about it.

Civ
Civ IV is the best one for a newcomer. Buy the complete version and go nuts. It's very, very addictive, though, and you should be careful when playing. Use the game's integrated clock and alarm. Edit: As I understand it, you are a strategy game veteran, so you shouldn't have trouble wrapping your head around Civ.

South Park: The Stick of Truth E3 Official Trailer
Is the writing completely up to the South Park dudes or is Obsidian writing stuff as well?

What are you playing now?
I finished Deus Ex: HR and it was fun. Not a bad game at all even if a bit bland. Still, it did a lot of things right and maanged to stay close enough to the Deus Ex formula. Boss battles and the final level were the only bits that were rubbish.

What are you playing now?
I'm almost finished with Deus Ex: HR which has been ok, and I finished a Witcher 2 Roche run.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!
Not sure why everyone is "OOOH AVAILABLE ON STEAM NEEEEEWS". We're at the point when not being available on Steam is effectively the exception, and there was really no indication Namco Bandai wouldn't pursue this road. Now, does this mean they will use Steamworks for the Steam release? Very doubtful if you ask me, but it's just an educated guess based on other similar releases (Arkham City and Arkham Asylum for example). I think they're using GFWL exclusively.
