  1. Get out. I like Catherine because she's hawt and she slaps you. When playing I usually go for financial civs. Cottage spam.
  2. There's hope, and then there's also reality... Ah, so they're great, then. They're awesome, actually.
  3. A European superstate is the only thing that keep can Europe from sliding into political and economical irrelevance. Not wanting it is just silly nationalism/patriotism.
  4. I stumbled on three or four words. @Wals: By that measure, the English language does not exist. Or became a dead language after the Normans invaded.
  5. I picked the name by the way.
  6. Fortunately, American industry is only killing third-world adults.
  7. Sounds a bit like Grotesque Tactics. Have you been adventuring with His Semi-Divine Self? I haven't actually. I'll have to check that out.
  8. Everything Parker and Stone have done after South Park has been very successful. Both the South Park movie and Team America were critical and commercial successes. Book of Mormon is also the big thing on Broadway right now. It won a bucket load of Tonys. Also, South Park has included well done satire on occasion, and isn't just about pushing back the boundaries of inappropriate content. I'm not a big fan of the show, but making a South Park RPG isn't some sort of terrible selling out of Obsidian's high brow role playing pedigree. Alpha Protocol was filled with lewd humour, for example. Besides, CRPGs and their fans have always taken themselves way too seriously and are really asking for some proper satire of the genre. Personally, I hope Obsidian and the two guys include cosplayers, conventions, larpers, fanboys and overly intelectual RPGers as targets for their humour.
  9. I'm in the process of picking my guys on Sentinel Island.

Aye. Scotland's shatteringly dull, isn't it? How can you fail to appreciate one of the most beautiful countries in the world? This is about a man who buries his rivals in the garden he's making for his lover.
  11. What's stopping you from getting a new desk?
  12. No, I'm actually hoping to get it as soon as my backlog is sufficiently reduced. I distinctly remember reading somewhere about DX: HR's supposed commercial failure.
  13. Really? I was under the perception it had surprisingly underperformed. Never mind, then. edit: Its price went down really quickly, too.
  14. Square-Enix opens another Monreal studio, creates 250 new jobs. Also they apparently are announcing a new Deus Ex game by Eidos Montreal, but that's not really a surprise nor very clear in the release. didn't Deus Ex: HR sell about as much as Dungeon Siege 3?
  15. I could really use a gigantinormous monitor setup and the system to run it properly with max settings.
  16. Damn. My PMs will probably never reach him. >_
  17. I haven't played it, but all I've seen indicate it's a great game. I'm more surprised about Dragon Age 2 being picked too. I'd put Dungeon Siege 3 on that list, myself, but I realize I'm in the minority on that count. Edit: I also note The Witcher 2 wasn't nominated for best graphics. Laff. From art direction to techninal attributes, it mops the floor with the competition.
  18. I don't think that will happen. I hope so, but I seem to recall the same sort of acclaim regarding Oblivion when it came out.
  19. I like how the game of the year nominees include 3 PC games, yet none of those are nominated for best PC game. Quality judging right there.
  20. So, when will the release hype wear off? How far away are we from people starting to declare Skyrim as bland and uninspired?
  21. I have it. I've only played it for a couple of hours, but it's cool. The gameplay is a bit light, but production values are great, especially the narrator voice.
  22. The artist is Herg
  23. It's not by time zones, it's by regions. Supposedly, anyway.
