  1. The last spoof movie I really enjoyed was Hot Shots 2. After that everything was almost painful to watch. Scary Movie 3 has some nice bits, though. David Zucker directed it, and George Carlin and Charlie Sheen were in it. Some of the scenes spoofing Signs were funny.
  2. "Rest well this night, for tomorrow you sail for the kingdom of Daggerfall."
  3. There is that 20 minutes of (the same) gameplay , but done in HD on Youtube. (Depending on your settings you might have to manually set it to 720; I let it load all the way before watching.) IMO the modeling is great, but [parts of] the game look like its all made from "painted Styrofoam". (And the menu UI is almost as bad as Witcher 2.) Well, as I expected that didn't look very good. The only thing that I liked was the ability to dual wield weapons and magic. The one thing I didn't expect was the UI being worse than Oblivion's. I'm betting this will just be a shallower Oblivion.
  4. Alpha Protocol. I just got to Taiwan. First hub after Saudi Arabia.
  5. They are called Mass Effect fans.
  6. That's just idiotic for the reason stated by Walsingham.
  7. Are you trying to launch through the game's launcher or directly from APGame.exe?
  8. Aside from special deals, retail is almost always cheaper than digital in Europe.
  9. Alpha Protocol. Finally got the skills working.
  10. I saw Thor this weekend. Good fun even if the plot was so very silly. I mostly just watched it because I'm looking forward to The Avengers.
  11. And I'm getting this as well, with the Steam version.
  12. All we know about the physics of grammar will be overturned.
  13. All you have to do to win on casual is press the attack button. It's quite mindless.
  14. I finally finished Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light yesterday, through co-op. A lot of fun.
  15. I have never tried Eton Mess. However, meringue, double cream, fruit, mozzarella and chocolate over a very thin pizza base sounds like something a four year old would do if you gave him run of the kitchen. Mixing that much fat and sugar strikes me as nauseating. I've never tried anything like that for the same reason I would never eat chocolate mixed with peanut butter, hamburger and marsipan, despite these all being things that I enjoy eating.
  16. It's this sort thing that makes me wary of any cooking by an anglophone.
  17. Here in Portugal the difficulty of exams and the school curriculum have been drastically reduced and simplified in the past 3 decades, in order to improve final grades. Nevertheless, grades keep falling anyway, with students showing time and again, that there are no depths to their ignorance and stupidity.
  18. To protect against backstabbers, obviously.
  19. That's just silly. They are consciously breaking the game's gameplay in order to provide better graphics? What?
  20. I'm guessing publishers get paid more by mainland European retailers than by UK retailers, considering European retailers charge much more for games.
  21. So allowing a client to buy a product but forbidding the same client from using it is legal?
  22. That region lock is how to make sure I don't buy a game. Also, this strikes me as illegal within the EU. The EU is supposed to be an open market.
