  1. Never thought I'd see Insónias em Carvão's work at Obsidian. He is world famous in Portugal
  2. Gonçalo Ramos has a lot of potential. He is not the next Haaland, but at the very least he is the next André Silva. Certainly better than Diouf. Anyway he was already valued at 30m. Not exactly chump change.
  3. Santos takes off Ronaldo and Portugal plays a good game for the first time in years. Also his replacement scores a hat trick. Could not be better.
  4. Like Portugal in the winter.
  5. My ultrawide was simultaneously my worst and my best purchase precisely because of the pressure to upgrade GPU. Especially now that pricing went to hell in a handbasket.
  6. 1966 was stolen anyway.
  7. A reminder that 30XX cards and AMD cards are still horribly priced, they just look good next to the pricing catastrophe that is the 40XX series.
  8. Aw, damn. It was so close, though. A couple of seats including Boebert's fell by the slimmest of margins. Still, I guess I escaped a costly loss on a bet.
  9. This is a whole thread about right wing and left wing extremist violence. With sources.
  10. Argentina have been serial bottlers at World Cups since 1990. They are just continuing a hallowed tradition.
  11. https://www.statista.com/statistics/1123070/police-shootings-rate-ethnicity-us/ https://www.statista.com/statistics/585152/people-shot-to-death-by-us-police-by-race/ https://www.odmp.org/search/year/2021 Note how almost no policemen die at the hands of criminals. Unless you count COVID, I guess. So you can understand how people going "what about the poor dead policemen?" after black people point out that they are being killed at a much higher rate than other ethnicities by police, sounds a bit offensive. To add insult to injury, let's not forget that thanks to qualified immunity, the "bad apples" that are injuring and killing people, and found to be at fault, suffer little or no consequences for their actions. So people that talk about Blue Lives Matter are usually either ignorant, disingenuous, or practicing active disinformation. By the way, just to makes things clear "bad apples" is in quotes because the problems that enable these bad actions by police, and keep them from consequences, are institutional and systemic.
  12. It's like a joke Web page. It might as well have finished with a complaint that everyone mentions the Jews but no one ever remembers all the SS officers that died during WWII.
  13. The choice was driven by bribes. FIFA is astoundingly corrupt, and has been for decades. What bothers me the most is the established individual players that are choosing to participate anyway. Goes to show they are all a bunch of right bastards.
  14. You should be able to just click the word "Quote" under my post. Which languages do you have set up in your OS and for your keyboard?
  15. There's a current bug with the forum software. Try posting it without line breaks (don't press return). Meanwhile, while you are here, through what device/OS/browser are you posting?
  16. You aren't the first one to have that issue with parts of posts that have disappeared. Can you PM me what you were trying to post?
  17. Trump is a manchild with no spine, who buckles at the smallest bit of pressure. Even if the risk is low he gets scared ****less over it, anyway.
  18. Slightly more competent. More dangerous in a different way because of it.
  19. Actually just being on the permanent rally trail has been an enormous source of income on its own. If it was only money on his mind, I imagine he'd be happy to just keep that going until he keels over and dies. I'd say he's actually running because he is trying to escape indictments/prosecution/whatever can stick on teflon.
