Is a BW game, if you stare at a wall long enough you'll get sex scene. Gotta capture that Twitcher crowd. Ooh are they having bird watching in Dragon Age 3?

Did not know that Keyrock, much obliged.

Shadow Warrior released on GOG for $35.99, that's 10% off until next Thursday. The old point and clicker Flight of the Amazon Queen is also free to acquire today only, apparently it's GOG's fifth birthday. Tempus fugit eh?

No the central message of Journey is that however long your scarf gets, you'll never wear it with as much panache as Tom Baker.

I'd have bought any game that continued the excellent saga of Kain's battle against the tyrannous stars, why drop one of the few interesting narrative vehicles in favour of yet another free to play mmo combat game, it's hardly as if the market does not have enough. And why would they think that the fan base for the Legacy of Kain games would want or support this, have they done any market research with the audience whatsoever. As for the Razelim, one suspects that the introduction of the various obstacles in the time streams that Raziel made in Soul Reaver 2 and Defiance can justify many changes to Kain's decaying empire.

I personally wouldn't say that I exhibited hate for Bioware but every depiction of characters they make are sickeningly dependant on the protagonist, or possessed of little to no motivation. Take Aveline for example, incompetent at her job which we see from the bandit fights every ten feet in Kirkwall, knowingly abandons her duty and fellow guardsmen to adventure with an old acquaintance, is too stupid to ask for pay putting her life on the line for this person, as a grown widow woman needs help in courting a man, etcetera. This doesn't strike me as a good representation of a character whether male or female, if the interviewer had brought up Kreia, Cass or Jeyne Kassynder as a good representation of a female character then that would have been far more appropriate I believe. Obsidian characters in my view are without a doubt far more nuanced and independent than the set dressing caricatures of Bioware.

Legacy of Kain...why? Edit: If I wasn't an Englishman and thus emotionally autistic i'd go somewhere and have a little cry.

A chum of mine training at Sandhurst once told me what the Womens Royal Army Corp (WRAC) is abbreviated to by the average squaddie, and the Sarkeesian's would absolutely declare a jihad if they found out. Very distasteful.

Permanent Injuries

For some reason the cautionary tale of the head of Vecna keeps springing to mind, if replacable limbs are implemented this might be a nice little easter egg. -
Random statements on comparative biology thread?

Ah well still no point to buying the title then, thank you anyway.

So hate to ask, but does the auction house closure in Diablo 3 mean that it'll have an offline mode now, or is it still persisting with that feature?
-
The one area I can see increased feedback as working is in features that should have been implemented originally, such as stashes or homebases for games where massive amounts of loot and quest items are available, but most of these problems are aired quite openly and solved with alacrity.

I would personally agree with C2B, this shouldn't play a part in design decisions, I want to play the game that Obsidian made not their customers. After all if the scheme is opt out then they will not be collecting reliable information, and just because a majority likes certain features that does not mean they are the correct ones, thus the cancerous proliferation of romances and such degenerate content.

I wouldn't personally single out Locklear, he was quite an endearing character in the game, the visuals and design on almost every character were sub par to say the least.

Betrayal at Krondor, I had forgotten how fine was Mr Halford's prose for the game, in some ways more enjoyable than Mr Feist's novels. The riddle chests are most pleasantly puzzling conundrums, and the broad range of totally mundane cultural weapons and armour a refreshing change.

Permanent Injuries

Wouldn't mind something like the Eye of Rhynn or the Hand of Kwll from the Corum books, one supposes however that these mutilations would need to be garnered in scripted sequences (to prevent repititive loss of the same extremity,) perhaps stupid or risky decisions in the text based encounters? Whatever the case I unfortunately would not wish injuries to be dealt with as easily as in Dragon Age, injuries were pathetically trivial in that game, at least for my tastes i'm afraid to say. -
Became somewhat overexcited perusing the attractive rodent thread.

We ought to have a horse and covered wagon, a black covered wagon with a red stripe along the side. The horse ought to be a large talking black Vaillian stallion, with an unusual mane, a dread fear of Dragons snatching him up from the earth and the resulting flight, and a sense of derision for jesters and such. He will haul around his fellow adventurers, sometimes known as the primary conglomerate. -
A Blade Runner rpg, an existential tour de force, focusing not on the titular retirement specialists but a single replicant: Where-in we can choose to accept our programming, our roles and their limitations. Or choose to not go quiet into that goodnight, to scream for life in the face of our creators and struggle against impossibility. To fight not for victory, but simply because the struggle is right and our participation is worthwhile.

Update #64: Developer Q&A with Kaz

Will Eternity really have such gratuitous chest shots, if so I may have to inform the Sarkeesian Death Commando's of this blatant demonstration of misogyny and the patriarchy!- 151 replies
