Gore
Major gore! I haven't seen entrails in a game since Soldier of Fortune.

Update #32: Meet the Developers - Steve Weatherly
Thanks for the answers! So, you drink whiskey. Me too! What are you favorites? Mine are Islay whiskys, preferably Lagavulin and Laphroaig. That stuff brings you straight to misty highlands and craggy cliff-sides when you drink it. Do you know if there's whiskey or some cool booze in Project Eternity? Is it easy to, I dunno, "implement" A.I.s in Unity? I mean, not the logic (because that is as challenging as you make it, as far as I know), but actually assigning an A.I. to a character. For instance, would it be possible to actually have a battle in which A.I. plays a huge role and the A.I. represents the actual challenge (and not the level/power of the enemy)? Have you guys thought about naming Project Eternity yet? Has there been any talk around the office about it? Also; watching someone programming and developing stuff is NOT boring. Markus Persson (Notch - Minecraft) did this stream and it was very nice to watch. And that was Java. I believe Doube Fine will attempt a similar behind-the-scenes/"watch us code" stream as well.

Update #32: Meet the Developers - Steve Weatherly
Do you read RPG Codex? What do you have on your walls besides a Blade Runner poster? What programming languages do you know? Which ones are your favorite? What is Tim Cain's weakness? You say Avellone would outperform you in Push-ups. Are there many gym dudes at Obsidian? If the zombie apocalypse strikes during work hours, who would you team up with?

Sexuality and mature content in the game (Adult Only)
Only if it's interactive like a japanese sex sim, with unique positions for every race and class. It should be playable with keyboard only so your right hand is free to do... things. I expect some new character skills associated with this as well. The whole thing should be preceded by the most awkward dialogue you've ever read. I also expect some developer signed tissues added to the CE box.

Are you for or against gaining experience points only for completing objectives?
Yeah, this.

Will the beta be NDA-protected?
NDAs are meant to be broken anyway.

Make a wish for 3.6
Or a stretch goal that isn't an in-game thing... Behind the scenes footage of the creation of Project Eternity (digital short video sent out to all backers). A few minutes going through the creation of a monster (modeling/texturing/animation), a few minutes on environments, a few minutes on writing and dialogue, a few minutes on the creation of music, etc. It could be turbo-amateurish. Like, it could be Adam walking around the office with a phone cam for all I care. Just some behind-the-scenes stuff EDIT: LOL just read the Kickstarter update. Never mind :D

Make a wish for 3.6
A haunted mansion story-driven dungeon. Perfect for a stretch goal in October Very side-questish and unique. It's all about telling a haunted house story. The goal for the player party is to exorcise the restless souls (literally -- because it's Project Eternity and souls is a thing, r00fles!) from the mansions. There should be several solutions, for example: a) Solve a mystery surrounding the mansion and put the souls at ease, b) Kill everything, c) ... Burn it to the ground? There should be several different solutions, and most of them based on discoveries that you make though Skill Checks (search, dialogue, intelligence, etc.) The closest thing already like this in a game would be the seaside hotel in Vampire the Masquerade. Relatively little combat, but a lot of story to discover. "But how can you make it scary in isometric perspective?" Spooky atmosphere knows no perspective. The environment could be foggy, dark, shadowy, with creaky sounds and crying violin music. There's no need for screamer-like scares. The story that is told through journals and notes etc. could be spooky in itself. Combat is a pretty big part of Project Eternity. Like I've said, the mansion would be pretty unique in that it's mostly an "adventure game dungeon". But there should still be some combat, and encounters could be shambling undead in the cellars, invisible specters or ghost-like creatures that appear if you fail puzzles or disturb stuff, and maybe even some super-powerful undead (Lich?) locked up in the attic. They'll probably put some undead creatures in the game anyway So yeah. I just want to see some dungeons in PE that aren't all about hack n slash, and this is one of my favorite themes.

Mega Dungeon Level Size
hopefully it will become the most epic dungeon in a CRPG ever. the earlier levels should be very puzzle and trap oriented, with maybe some other "intruders" (adventurers, treasure seekers, archeologists etc.) as you go lower there should be more creatures and turn more combat oriented, until you hit the remnants of old civilization and it can revert back to having puzzle and traps, AND monsters.

Countdown to Eternity.
the codex guerrilla will probably contribute with up to 7k. add other websites running community campaigns and you're looking at an additional 10k going into paypal.

Underground Big City
would be pretty cool to have a "vertical" city. like, maybe a district of the city is underground. noblemen could live on clifftops above.

additional stretch goal at 2.9?
I would rather see necromancy be an aspect of wizardry and have deeper existing classes instead.

Screenshot... what ya'll think
It looks great but I wasn't expecting anything else either. I'm sure characters will look great as well. The interface is the most interesting part for me.

People have been using stimulants throughout history. Would make sense to have some sort of stuff in the game. Shrooms, herbs, stuff like that.- Do you want to see an overworld that is more like Baldur's Gate 1 or more like Baldurs Gate 2?
I gotta be honest. I don't really have a preference. They could do it like Arcanum/Fallout or BG or BGII. Or maybe a new way. What I want is for random encounters to not be too frequent (if they even have them) and for zone progression to not be linear.- 45 replies

- What do you Want to Know Before the Kickstarter Ends?
What I'd really want to see is tech demo'ing. Real behind the scenes with like Adam and Josh and others just chilling at some computer and pointing at stuff and going "yeah so this red area is a no-pathing zone and this blue thing is a trigger for an encounter and bla bla". There could just be cubes moving around on a field of grass for all I care, I just want to see something from behind the scenes, of the actual tech or game. - PE's first screenshot today?
