The only improvement I liked over the first game... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well then I assume you just expected too much from this game. It offers all this stuff and you just basically shrug off every positive feature that Obsidian worked their butt to get into the game. Sequels need improvements, this sequel had that kind of improvement, maybe not on all parts though. Perhaps all the negative parts of KOTOR 2 blind you to all the great things that is also given to you. There is no need to focus on the negative only

Revan, the Exile & KOTOR 3 (if it is ever made)
Ostkant replied to Dark Wanderer's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
If wasting money on ONE game angers you... I've wasted money on atleast four-five games for the Gamecube, all the reviews tricked me into believing they were actually good. Sure I've purchased good games for my Gamecube, but all the money I wasted that I regret I did could have bought me four new Gamecubes. -
If you are asking me, I liked... - New animations and the Lightsaber/Force forms, like Force Channel or Shii-Choo. - New Force powers - altough it is possible to beat the game without even using Force powers at all, it was fun to try Force Body and all the new powers that were there just to boost you up a little extra. I also loved Force Crush and Force Enlightment. Force Sight as well is an interesting Force power. - The prestige classes are excellent, and all the features that come with them of course. Inner Strength, Superior Two-Handed Weapons feats, etc. - Cloaking actually looks like cloaking while in KOTOR 1 it looked like you had been electrocuted. - I also liked how the character swings differently once you reach higher levels, or depending on what sort of Forms you used. - The new workbench/lab station. Upgrading seems more advanced now and I simply love it. You can even have partymembers make components for you. - HK-47, enough said. Altough not a new feature, he is interesting and I wonder what his Droid Language feat really is good for. - New Lightsaber colours, finally. Interesting crystals. - And the excellent Jedi Robes. They look better than the old ones, though I didn't mind the old ones too much, I just say this is a step forward for the Jedi robes. Maybe I forgot to type down something more I liked, but it's enough as it is.

To the first poster, this is how a lot of people feel. Once you beat the game you feel all confused and need someone to talk to about all these questions.

Nice review, and I agree. Was worth my cash and I liked it, it's just that KOTOR 1 was a bit better. I still appreciate the new features that KOTOR 2 brings us.

Revan, the Exile & KOTOR 3 (if it is ever made)
Ostkant replied to Dark Wanderer's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
To the first post, I take Option 2. I actually came up with that idea first (atleast I think) then suddenly it popped up in a couple of threads here. I want you to choose between Exile and Revan when you press/click New Game, choose Female/Male, and you should also be able to tell the game if Revan or the Exile is Male or Female. And eventually in a later point of the game Revan and the Exile end up meeting eachother to work together. -
I walk into a thread to read "ewww old people kinky sex" it's more funny than annoying, but still. Now I keep imagining Jolee with Kreia and I cannot get it out of my head you bastards.

Most Favorite/Least Favorite characters in TSL
Ostkant replied to NeverwinterKnight's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I like: T3-M4 - Is an effective partymember and is interesting to talk to Atton - Funny Visas Marr - I don't know. Just liked her myself - I can't resist the beauty that is I HK-47 - always liked him. I hate/dislike: G0-T0 - a bitter guy Hanharr - some sort of life-debt obsessed freak Mira - calls me "old man", I'll show you "old man" when I stick my Lightsaber into your cargo hold Bao-Dur - he was just boring. Handmaiden - the bitter little goody two-shoes style doesn't work on me. I hate her and her ugly sisters. I hate them all. -
Goddamn... shut up you sick people. Shut up and lock the thread.

I must say I liked the Light side ending a bit, the last cutscene with the nice music as you fly towards what I assume is the Unknown Regions.

DS - first meeting with Atris
Ostkant replied to Dawnbringer's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Also, switch to Kreia and go Look at Atris in her meditation chamber, through the door. You'll see how Atris is far in the Dark side, she's all glowing red. Damn all these preaching Jedi fanatics, they all end up falling to the Dark side anyway. It's best for them anyways, they fall to the best side. -
Parts can be bought by merchants, AND you must also loot it from the HK-50 droids.

Who do you want to return for KOTOR 3?
Ostkant replied to Bokishi's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Bastila and Revan, HK-47, T3-M4, NOT the Handmaiden at all... I hate that goddamn b-tch and her sisters. Maybe Visas Marr... Mandalore too. And Carth. Mission too, and then some new characters perhaps. -
My first time through the game took 60 hours or so, but that's mostly because I went to eat and do other stuff while leaving the game turned on for hours, so as I did that a lot of times the hours increased. But if you want a long playthrough, do sidequests and all that.
-
If you say Revan was a Light side Male, Carth will appear after you destroy the Ravager and talk to you. After him appears the beauty of KOTOR 1.
-
It is a Basilisk War Droid, and continuity will see it as one. Books aren't canon, and the BWD you like looks so silly I'm not surprised Obsidian never chose it as a BWD.

omg thar sppoiler plz ban jaden mah game is ruined nwo. now* -
DarthRevan987, read around the forum in the Spoiler part and Storyline Discussion part, there's plenty of threads around where things are explained.

Kreia would know and tell you if Malachor was the place Revan went to. And wouldn't the developers make sure we find out something so important? That Revan is Nihilus? It's something too important to just leave it to us to figure out. And Revan was always kinda short. Look at Nihilus, he's probably as tall as Malak. Wouldn't Kreia know if Revan had died? She even told me how Mira would die, and why. But yes I am also thinking that Nihilus is a spawn of the Dark side, but I still have some questions of that. I think the death of so many Jedi connected to the Force had not only an effect on the Exile, but Nihilus must have been "created" off that. I'm just speculating, it's confusing imagining him repairing the Ravager. Maybe he was just a survivor of that last battle and was stuck on the surface of Malachor, so he ended up finding the Trayus Academy and there started something. The game does say he "learned Hunger" there, while Kreia learned Betrayal and Sion learned Pain. Kreia also said there is an empire hidden in the shadows of the galaxy, waiting to be found or waiting to strike, something like that. I must admit I admire your theory... but it doesn't hold.

And Wookiees don't brush their teeth either. lol

does it matter what Revan was in KOTOR 1?
Ostkant replied to NeverwinterKnight's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I repaired T3 so much on my second time through the game until I could do some form of meditation to heal T3, never understood the point of that, other than it is there to fill his life again. If you do that on him a couple of times, does something special happen? Also, I don't remember being able to ask T3 "How did you get here" or similar, but I'll try again now that I'm on my third character. -
But it takes time to understand it. Your first playthrough isn't always the greatest one - one always learns by beating the game more, I always found myself seeing things I never did before, etc. I got told more on the Light side then I did when I was on the Dark side.
-
Epiphany wow, holy bantha. What did you use to make that?
-
Silver is pretty odd, it's basically just a white blade.

Most Memorable KOTOR 2 Moment

That's very similar to my reaction... I was like "Whoa... *blush*"
