  1. OK fine, since it won't be the hoorible WOW/DA spam/cooldown crap, and remains the tactical decisions, like the IE games, I can live with that.
  2. Let's just hope there will be some clarification on this from Obsidian later today.
  3. I'd much more prefer that it was just like the IE games. If someone is doing some unusual damage to you, you could almost be certain they had some kind of magical weapon. And when they died, you got that item (as well as the gear they are using).
  4. What if the cooldowns were on a day like timer (i.e. Fireball 2x a day) and we have limited rest?
  5. There is NO tactical or unexpected encounters at all with cooldowns. THAT is what the IE games embodied.
  6. There is nothing challenging or GOOD about them. PERIOD. Also there was None of this terrible terrible wow crap in the original BG games. They required you to think and use information to plan your battles. As well as deal with situations when you did not have certain spells memorized. Cool-downs are just a spam fest. There is no challenge or having to deal with unexpected encounters without access to certain spells. Which the IE game excelled in.
  7. Meh that guy's an idiot. Almost everything he says is entirely subjective, a non-sequitor, or just wrong. His stance is more from the perspective of an action gamer than really caring about RPG mechanics. So basically you failed to read the entire article? Not surprising.
  8. NO! Cool Downs KILL IT WITH FIRE! Obsidian, why hast thou forsaken me? LukeSkywalkerNOOOOOO.jpg
  9. Thanks for your curiosity everyone, I know you all have questions about the music for PE. As for examples of my music, ask and you shall recieve! http://soundcloud.co...tin-bell-music/ This material spans about 6 years of writing. Some of the tracks there are from popular TV shows and award winning Films that I can't really discuss publically unfortunately For those you'll find cryptic names such as "a tv show" etc. Check it out if you're interested! This was really fantastic. Thank you for sharing this!
  10. Voted no. Spend that dev time on something better.
  11. Weapons that fit the current technology of the world is fine with me.
  12. All of them. I still have all my original CD cases for them. <3
  13. Fake Biowarian Choice and Consequences. (This can be done in a GOOD way RP wise but not how actually implimented) Mini-Games ROMANCE KILL IT WITH FIRE Pandering to casuals (I get Josh's concerns but catering exclusively is BAD) HORRIBLE Path finding like all the IE Games Every option availabe in one play through. As in OMG I DONT WANT PLAYERS TO MISS ALL OUR GAMES EXPERIENCE!!! /Publishers
  14. It is not Obsidian's fault if a publisher decides to release a bugged game.
  15. Uh, that was the ENTIRE point of IWD series. They are tactical IE combat games.
  16. Voted. If Obsidian does add us to the game (I voted I don't care), I say let them add it how thery see fit. Hopefully it will fit in the setting just fine (and not as a LOL OMG INSIDE JOKE). I have no interest in merchandise.
