  1. How about wizards wearing breastplates? http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/60115-armour-and-weapon-designs-a-plea/page__st__380#entry1211892
  2. Baldur's Gate style works best for me. I abhor the KOTOR or DA mechanics - makes the companions nothing more than cannon fodder. It more often that not makes combat trivial.
  3. Yes, I'm having the same problem. I'm only able to see thumbnails. What's MTG? It's a collectible card game. Check this list.
  4. I'd like to see a shaman class, with something close to wild magic from BG2. High risk and high reward sort of class, with a tribal theme.
  5. This just might change your mind : Lovely detail on the armour.
  6. Personally, I'd prefer it if everyone could use any type of armour, but not necessarily want to - i.e. some armour types would benefit certain playstyles more, while prohibit others. But that's a discussion for another topic What if the wizards looked like this, only with a cuirass worn on top of that? Practical, well protected, but still very wizard-ish. That sort of armour would suit them best I'd think - it doesn't limit freedom of movement much. Rapier is a precision weapon, I'd think it'd suit a magic user well. Wizards could be required to have one hand free at all times, for the purpose of spellcasting of course; that said maybe they could elect to equip a shield - losing access to their spells, but gaining some defensive measures. Possibly as a last ditch effort?
  7. Paul Anthony Romero is a great composer, another example : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Anoc67QPMaQ&feature=relmfu
  8. On the topic of wizards (since we know they'll be wearing armour) : What sort of armour & weapon designs you'd find fitting for them? Personally, I'd envision magic users wearing cuirasses : And wielding rapiers.
  9. I prefer this guy's style by a mile. Sweet looks nice but, I dunno, it doesn't do anything for me personally. Also a good choice, I prefer Sweet's style myself, but I really like Manley's portraits too.
  10. We're approaching the 2,2 million threshold, here's hoping this would be considered as a next stretch goal
  11. Well, honestly, I'd rather see them focus on creating the best singleplayer experience they can. There's no toolset for any of the Total War games - despite that, there's a wealth of various mods, some very impressive (Third Age). They just avoided using hard-coding.
  12. I'd be happy if they just made the game easy to mod (in the vein of IE games or Total War series). Dedicated mod tools would probably be a huge drain on the available resources.
  13. As people have frequently mentioned, Sweet's portraits tell a story.
  14. How about an ability, say leadership, which would reduce the odds of your companions panicking?
  15. Another piece of concept art for PE. I must say I really love this one! And dare I say it...rapiers!
  16. The next few stretch goals will be absolutely crucial - and they don't have much time left, they need to announce them before the current one is reached. A set of enticing goals could result in a spike of pledges. Surprise us, Obsidian!
  17. Now we can finally, as the always say, chillax.
