  1. Further proof that practical armour can look very appealing : It's of Byzantine design.
  2. Wyrm's Tooth from Icewind Dale : Make sure to see it enlarged, the level of detail is quite amazing.
  3. Am I glad to hear that Thanks for the great news! P.S. Consider adding the "Spongy Mjolnir" reward tier I really like this one! I found Justin Sweet's rendition of that armour too :
  4. Absolutely. It could only be for companions or for other major characters (the villain etc.).
  5. But all the modding tools were developed by the community I believe. I think the best way to go for OE is to develop the game in a way that is easily moddable. For instance, Paradox tends to do their games where most of their scripts and events and game settings, etc. are stored in .txt files. So all one has to do to mod the game is to open them up and change some settings, or look at examples of events or how countries are put in the game, etc. and copy them with their own changes. If Obsidian could do something similar, then they wouldn't even need to release any sort of tools and could just rely on the community to do what they want. Yeah, another example of that is Total War : Medieval II - they didn't provide the tools per se, but just made modding really easy and most files editable. And there were plenty of mods, even total conversions. Hell, there are still mods under development.
  6. Temple of Elemental Evil had that and it's 9 years old. I think it's very possible.
  7. Yeah, I love good 2D background. Check this topic too : http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/60408-a-thought-on-pes-graphics/
  8. Yeah, those looks pretty amazing! I love that helmet design.
  9. It's been 12 years since Icewind Dale was released and the graphics haven't aged one bit, as evidenced by that marvelously detailed background.
  10. Something like that : http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/60371-narrated-sequences-instead-of-cutscenes-lets-use-our-imagination-again/page__st__60#entry1199801
  11. Baldurs Gate 2 enjoyed a highly increased lifespan due to a large modder presence - I'd love it if PE followed that.
  12. Don't kill me for posting such a large picture, but I simply had to : That's pure artistry. That's Wyrm's Tooth, an area from Icewind Dale. Here's hoping we'll be seeing such amazing vistas in PE too. The level of detail is quite amazing, have a look at the enlarged version.
  13. Yes please! Though possibly as a stretch goal, as it would most likely consume a lot of resources to construct one.
  14. But in all honesty I'd like them to surprise us with something we haven't seen yet.
  15. And how about a small narrated sequence (accompanied by a concept art) describing major characters you encounter?
  16. Yeah, the plate armour of Gondor troops was a bit jarring, but it did look pretty nice if you disregard that.
  17. Franklin Payne-like character please http://arcanumclub.r...-tarantian.htm l
  18. Yeah, I guess you have to start somewhere
  19. It's been mentioned before - since the game's isometric a great deal of detail isn't required; all the same, I'd be great if what we can see looked good
  20. IE games had "utility" slots for potions and the like - pistols could perhaps be put there (should PE have such funcionality, of course). That way the player would have to sacrifice easy access to healing potions, for an instance.
  21. Have the playable classes been confirmed or is that just conjecture? Thanks for creating the wiki, Ausir!
