I'm not playing anything right now (except the waiting game, as I'm waiting for an obscure cable to be sent to me) but I am eagerly anticipating Bully (or Canis Canem Edit, as it is known as in Europe). From what I've read, it sounds awesome. Let's hope it can deliver on the promises, whenever it's released here.

What was that? I have you ALL on ignore, you know that right? Except kirottu of course.

By the way, Wasteland better be among the last top 20. Or I'm going to have to.. uh.. send very mean emails to the IGN offices!!1!

Bah. If it had been me posting such a picture, one of the mods would start screaming about harrassment and shut me down. And who is this Hades person you're all discussing? I must have accidently missed his eleven thousand posts.

Lots of overclocking features, lots of onboard goodies, good performance. That's what I look for in a motherboard, and which is why I chose the Abit AW9-MAX, even though it was ridiculously expensive.

I Can Now Dominate NWN2 Pitiful Reccommendations
mkreku replied to Volourn's topic in Skeeter's Junkyard
The difference isn't really that big. The X1600 is a good enough card. The main difference is that the card you got has 512 MB DDR2 RAM. The X1650 utilizes 256 MB GDDR3 RAM. It sounds worse, because it's 256 MB vs. 512 MB, but GDDR3 is a huge performance boost compared to DDR2. The weird thing is that the X1650PRO is actually cheaper than the X1600 (usually). I think that's because the X1600 is being phased out and the X1650 is trying to make an impact. -
http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=68848 Gothic 3 got 8/10 from Eurogamer, despite its many problems. Nice.

My PSU is 600W.. but I have free electricity because I live in a student's apartment. Sometimes I leave the damn thing on running for a week because I am too lazy to boot it up in the mornings -

The X1650Pro is a budget/mid-range card. They usually never demand very much power. Your 460W should be fine. -

You don't have to have symmetric memory modules in the memory channels, but you get the best speed if both channels are paired with similar modules. I use two 1 GB sticks myself, in separate channels, for best performance. Judging from Volourn's setup, I'd assume he had 256 MB RAM before and someone smacked a 1 GB RAM into an empty socket. 1280 MB! -

I think I could bring your domination to an end.. but I won't. You should have let us board tech geeks give a little input on your GPU. That X1600 is nice, but the X1650 is nicer, especially since it comes with GDDR3. It's also slightly cheaper (in Sweden at least)! -
The main problem for me with the face creator in Oblivion was that the gauges were interlinked wthout explanation. Sometimes I made the perfect mouth and went on to work on the eyes. When I was done with the eyes and checked out the entire face, the mouth would be all twisted and contorted and not at all how I left it. It was annoying as hell. It usually ended with me pressing the random button until something half-decent popped up and then I only made small adjustments to it, like colour and tiny size changes.

I can't put my finger on the Leafs. Sometimes they play like a team with speed, finesse and skill. Then other times (like against Colorado) they make mistakes, they fail to capitalize and they.. suck. Sometimes it feels like "if they only get some of the injured players back and the veterans going all will be well" and other times (like after the Colorado game) it's more like "WE DON'T BELONG IN THE NHL, WE'D BE BETTER OFF IN THE AHL!!". Inconsistant.

HUZZAH! Neverwinter Nights 2 gone Gold!
mkreku replied to Judge Hades's topic in Computer and Console
I'm not a true role-player and I've always thought the alignment system was dumb. In most games the only thing alignment does is not letting you wield that evil sword (when being a paladin). In the real world, there are no 100% good people. Mostly decisions have consequences (duh) and the results are usually like 80% good, 20% not so good. I usually play a paladin because I am lazy. I want a character with the best weapons, the best armour, that can tank and help with spells if needed. Tada, a paladin is born! I even played a paladin in World of Warcraft, but unfortunately they sucked in that game. -
Probably not. Scary, huh? It is best to have at least 2 GB RAM, a very fast processor (like, Core 2 Duo or one of the very fastest Athlon's) and an extremely powerful GPU, like 7800GTX/1900XT or better. At least that's what I've gathered from the official forums.

And this isn't trolling? I guess it's polite and on-topic too? And one-smiley posts aren't spam.. You learn something new each day. Crap, I shouldn't have written this post. It must be "harrassing". ANYHOW.. why is it that so many players choose to play a paladin when they start a new D&D character? Is the class unbalanced and easier to play? I mean, it is basically a fighter that is self-sufficient (since he can heal and stuff). Not so many paladins in this thread perhaps, but everytime I watch someone play D&D they instantly roll a paladin. I get the feeling it's the cookie-cutter class. -
Actually.. I didn't pay for it. I was given a 6 months free review copy of the game, with optional 3 month increases if I wanted it. I played for 5 of those first 6 months, before I decided that World of Warcraft was a fruitless time sink. I never asked for more free months. I do have a level 60 paladin though. I wonder if it's sellable?

Blizzard recently tried to lure me back into playing WoW, by calling me on the phone. It was a young girl who called and she wanted to know why I cancelled my account.. and because I answered all her questions she promised to send me a free Blizzard game. A week later Warcraft 3 arrived in my mail. Odd, huh?

I still haven't played my Gothic 3.. but I've been following the official forums, and tons of people are experiencing the exact same problem as Zagor. They're calling it "stunlock" and it only seems to happen with beasts in the woods. Someone had been killing an entire village of orc elites without having to heal, but the second he stepped out of the village, he ran into a boar that stunlocked his level 27 fighter to death within seconds. Noone has any problems fighting humans or orcs though. There's also a movie on the net showing 10 (or so) NPC's fighting a boar that has found its way into a village. Everyone keeps attacking it, over and over and over, and I think three people dies before the stupid boar finally topples over. Another huge "bug" (or feature?) is that armour.. does nothing. You spend 150.000 gold on buying the most expensive armour in the game, but the only thing you get is a few percentages less damage in combat. If a boar hits you for 40 hp when wearing the starting equipment, it will take appr. 34 hp when wearing the best armour found so far in the game! I haven't seen a word from Piranha Bytes about these issues. They're almost as bad as Obsidian when it comes to frequenting their own forums. We're all hoping for a patch though.

I hope someone picked the rookie Anze Kopitar in his pools. He played in Sweden last season and was outstanding. Apparently he's doing quite well in the NHL too. I can't believe I forgot to mention him when you started this crazy pool talk.

I usually just buy a new mouse. I go through keyboards and mouses (mice?) like there was no tomorrow. Which is why I usually buy these $10 keyboards.. I have a rather expensive Logitech mouse right now, but only because my girlfriend bought it for me as a present.
