  1. What the hell.. Just play the damn game and give us a short review already! It'll probably be months before I can get my grubby hands on a copy here in Sweden.
  2. It didn't. But there were references to Wasteland throughout Fallout.
  3. Yes. When you install a game, you'll get the option to choose where you want to install it. Just choose the E: drive instead of the C: drive and you're set. There's no difference. Well, except for an increase in performance, as Windows has a habit of disk swapping while the game is trying to load stuff. With two separate drives, the two processes won't have to fight over the available bandwidth from the one drive.
  4. Only if you get to look like Sir Bob!!
  5. http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3154749 4/10. Apparently there's a lot of kicking and a lot less sense to anything in this game.
  6. Well, since we're on the subject of horror, I present to you: The Scariest Moments in Gaming, courtesy of Gamespy! Can't really agree about Doom (again), but finding out the truth in System Shock 2 was quite a.. surprise.
  7. Computer hardware seldom becomes slower with use. It's basically either functioning or broken (a bit boolean in its behaviour). Since the laptop is only a year, I don't think your harddrive is dying either. And fragmentation shouldn't be a factor (at least not that big) either, unless your harddrive is brimful already (worth to check and possibly free up some space). Windows XP doesn't have to be reinstalled more often than perhaps once every 18 to 24 months under normal conditions. I recently reinstalled Windows XP on my girlfriend's computer. She hadn't done it for over three years, and it was working perfectly for her (but I had to change her motherboard). Unless you install/remove lots and lots of programs on your computer, of course. Then you have to clean your XP more often (as I am a reviewer of games, I know this.. the hard way..) as the registry tends to become cluttered after a while, and that can slow down your system severely.
  8. I thought Duct Tape Man ruled the bunch. Edit: Oh, and Zombiezz by Jon McConnell is awesome.

So basically, you'd want to remove all immigration rules too? The entire country of Iraq could move next door to you and you would not complain? I mean, "People should have the right to choose where they work", right? Eric Lindros.. Yeah, the guy who went crying to daddy, "the manager", when he found out something they forgot to tell him in school: some people speak.. non-americanish (aka. french) in Quebec!! I guess that's what they call "balls" in Canada. Glad to see the pollution is spreading in the NHL thread too. Bah. At least the Leafs won over red-hot Atlanta. It's strange, but Toronto always seems to have an easy time against Atlanta, even when Atlanta are playing much better hockey than the Leafs in general. Sundin seems to have an awful tough time finding the net though. It's worrying since he usually scores around 20% of the teams goals himself each year.
  10. Well, I've played Clive Barker's Undying and the thing about it that makes it a whole lot less scary are the loading times. You can barely take two steps and a loading screen pops up. It loads and loads and loads. It totally destroys any iatmosphere the game is trying to convey. Not scary.
  11. I'm wearing lipstick.
  12. I'm basing my good graphics argument on videos like these: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9hGxXPP2xY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVwc_HZsjKg To me it looks smooth, pretty, well-animated and stylish. Also, from what I can tell, the maps look pretty "free" and not as corridor-like as they were in Final Fantasy X. I don't understand what you mean by "flat polygons" as I'm not seeing it.
  13. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRVhwwh4278 Personally, I think number 9 on that list is the scariest game I've ever played. And I can't believe Doom 3 ended up on the list at all! I mean, who was frightened by that game 15 minutes in?!
  14. I think Final Fantasy X was good for people who like to watch anime and not so good for people (like me) who just want to play a good game. From what I can tell, Final Fantasy XII is more like the Final Fantasy's of old, with a big overhead map and the freedom to go and do other stuff than just follow the main plot. And since load times are said to be very fast, I wouldn't even mind if the maps are small.. which they aren't (it seems). The graphics looks amazing. Who needs a Playstation 3/Xbox 360?!
  15. The IGN review was quite good. I'm getting this game, whenever it's released in Sweden. It can't be as bad as Final Fantasy X, right?
  16. There's nothing wrong with charging for a mod after the game is released, if it's good and adds more value to the product. Unfortunately though, Microsoft has managed to turn things upside down with their Live Marketplace. They are basically forcing every new game that comes on the market to immediately have downloadable content to sell on that Marketplace. Now, do you think they (the developers) are first making the game complete (100%) and then add extra downloadable content as a bonus (100% +10% = 110% work).. OR if the developers make the game (100%), cut out stuff they already made (100% - 10% = 90%) and make it a mod (10%) they can sell for money later (90% +10% = 100% work)? I know which version I believe. Especially after Oblivion. Or maybe I'm just being cynical. Maybe all developers complete the game two-three months before deadline and they're like, "Hey, now that we have all this spare time, let's make lots and lots of bonus goodies for the marketplace instead!". It could happen.
  17. I'm not even sure the Go model is sold separately. Are you thinking about one of those low models? Or one with passive cooling?
  18. That's a nice card. Rumour has it that Powercolor are building an AGP card based on the Radeon X1950Pro GPU. If (when?) that arrives, it'll be the fastest AGP card on the market. Until then, the Gainward 7800 GS Bliss 512MB GDDR3 AGP (based on the G71 core instead of the G70 like the rest of the 7800GS for AGP are) is the fastest. But the BFG, XFX, eVGA and the rest aren't far behind. They're all powerful video cards. 19. I am waiting for FasterFox to get an upgrade to version 2.0.
  20. You're already slipping into your old posting habits.

I don't know, but PHEW!, we won the shootout at least ) We definitely need better goal scorers. Not even Sundin is producing.
  22. The doll ad scared the crap out of me.
  23. I usually trust Eurogamer.net more than any other review site. They gave it 8/10. Still not convinced by this game and I'm too lazy to download the demo. Damn.
  24. Yeah, I got the soundtrack CD in the Collector's Edition. It's awesome.
  25. Me and two guys and five girls just played Singstar 80's and Singstar Rocks! and Singstar Whatever for a few hours. I am drunk as hell and everyone's gone home by now, but it was a lot of fun and a great party. I don't think the Playstation 2 is dead just yet. Looking forward to the next Singstar. Ps. I hope you realize how valuable the spelling thingie is in Firefox 2.0 when seeing this text and knowing I had like two bottles of scotch in my blood while writing this. :|
