SO I LIKE NEKKID GURLS, SHUT UP ALREADY!
-
Boo hiss. I demand a recount.

Toronto beat the Flyers! Ok, I admit it's not the same feat it was a few years ago, but the Flyers name still has a good ring to it for me. Still, the Leafs have won a few now and are seriously looking like a play-off team! If only they can keep this up for the majority of the season we're good. Ovechkin two goals. Kovalchuk three goals. The russians are scoring.

Oh crap, I am quickly turning into a fan of Jon McConnell's work. First it was his awesome Halloween entry, and now this fantastic Satyr. Embarrassing! I'm a man-groupie!

Check this out! It's the first time I've seen anything push down those 60 day game cards for WoW since WoW was released! Neverwinter Nights 2 is selling like hot-cakes in Sweden )

I actually read about this.. thing you put on your desk. It was like a plastic stand, not more than perhaps 5-7 centimetres high, that you placed your laptop on. The plastic desk thingie was full of fans blowing from underneath (or was it the back?) and was supposed to help cool your laptop. I read about it on www.idg.se, but I can't seem to find it anymore. Still, it might be an idea to look it up more thoroughly.. )

My biggest pet peeve is little old ladies who can't hear me coming on my bicycle, and when they do hear me, they always jump to the other side of the road in panic. WTF?! I CAN SEE YOU ALRIGHT, LITTLE LADY, AND I HAD ALREADY BEEN AIMING FOR THAT EMPTY SPOT ON THE ROAD FOR A KILOMETER! WHEN YOU SUDDENLY JUMP TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROAD IN PANIC, SOMEHOW THINKING THAT YOU'RE EITHER HELPING ME GET PAST OR AVOIDING ME, IT MEANS YOU END UP IN FRONT OF ME AND I HAVE TO PANIC BREAK AND SWERVE TO THE SIDE OR DOWN A DEEP DITCH!! GAAHHHH!!! Aahh, much better.

Actually.. yes. What's the point of romance when you know before it starts (or ends) that the most it'll ever lead to is incredibly cheesy dialogue (gushing love declarations after ten minutes of idle chit-chat) and hand holding? If you're lucky, you'll get a kissing scene with clipping problems. They would have to incorporate a massive (not-yet-existent) AI to be able to pull off an interesting romance in a game, since the computer would have to be able to improvise and surprise to be interesting. I don't think it's the writing in itself that fails (some of it is quite good) but the restrained format of dialogue trees. My pick-up lines are seldom in the same universe as Bioware's writer's..

Uh.. yes, you are correct. Unless you're overclocking with serious voltage increases, you're as likely to "wear out" a power cord as you are a CPU by overclocking it. I'm sure moving all those electrons in the end will wear out the material, but, to be honest, I'm not really worried about that since it'll be time to upgrade (about a thousand times over) before that happens. The motherboard I am using is an Abit AW9D-Max, which is designed for heavy overclocking. Solid state capacitors, and all that. Overclocking may decrease the length of life for your hardware, but it's not a problem since you're bound to upgrade long before that ever happens (unless you actually burn something, one way or another).

I'm playing Bully right now. I finally got it during the weekend and I've been playing it (and Singstar Legends) obsessively ever since. Bully really is a fantastic game, although it feels a little unoptimized for the platform (Playstation 2) as the framerate is anything but stable. The controls are also a bit weird, but the story has so far been absolutely fantastic, the music is among the best I've ever heard (really!) and the characters are absolutely amazing. I love how Rockstar are always able to take tired, old clich

Wow, I hadn't thought about that, but.. you're right! Logically, they should announce their next project soon. Will be very interesting to finally hear what it is. I'm more psyched about this announcement than I was for Neverwinter Nights 2's release. Sick

Uhm, what? I'm running my Core 2 Duo E6600 (2.4GHz stock) constantly at 3.0GHz without any problems/crashes/instability issues. It idles around 33 degrees Celsius (~31 degrees Celsius stock) and reaches 50 degrees under pressure (45 degrees stock). 50 degrees Celsius does not in any way hurt your CPU or shorten its lifespan. Also, I am running this setup with the original Intel cooler. As soon as I get a new cooler (Scythe Ninja Plus) I'm going for 3.4GHz or 3.6GHz, since I've tried it for short bursts and both the CPU and memory sticks (Corsair XMS) are good for it, but the temperature went above what I find acceptable. Now, try to convince me that this somehow hurts my system "in the end".

Oohh, who would have thought the Leafs would come away with two points from Buffalo? Not me! Damn nice surprise! Sundin seems to have had a great game, from what I could tell from the recap on TSN and ESPN. Maybe the Leafs aren't bound for their second consecutive play-off miss? I know it's way early in the season, but it sure looks like they've got some chemistry going in the team, and that's always a good thing. Much better than last year, that's for damn sure.

Nope, unfortunately not. Italian designer jeans. My girlfriend forced me to buy them because they fit so well. I usually don't buy jeans that expensive. Imagine what a nice hardware component for my computer system I could have gotten for those $250 [/nerd]

I use this: http://www.ulti-mat.com/v3/index.php?p=pro...=mousepads&id=1 But since it was given to me, I don't know what it would cost. But I really like it. It's just a steel plate (heavy!) covered with some sort of Teflon plastic. It's extremely slippery and very cold in the mornings, but the no-friction surface is good on the mouse.

I went to my local store to buy Neverwinter Nights 2, but when I came home I found Singstar: Legends in the bag. CRAP!

I like that. It's a very difficult decision to do that once an article has been published. I'm surprised and impressed that they had the guts to admit that one of their editors might have been ill-suited for the task at hand and that they're going to have to redo the review. My respect for 1Up (which has always been very low, and still is) went up a notch.

Volourn's Early Final Fantasy 12 Impressions
mkreku replied to Volourn's topic in Computer and Console
The world is DOOMED. DOOMED, I tell ya! What about the classics, like the Ultima series? Wasteland? Pool of Radiance? Daggerfall? Final Fantasy Tactics?! Gaah. -
Don't you mean ?

Have you guys seen this? http://video.google.com/nhl.html If you've missed a few games, here's the chance to see them on Google Video for free! Well, for free the first two weeks in November, then it's $2.99 per game Still quite cool.

Leafs lost! But they put up a decent fight, considering this was their third game in four days. I'm not too depressed.
-
I only work 4 hours today, and after work I'm going straight to my local store (I think it's called Tradition) to pick up this game. I went there one day before Gothic 3 was released and asked if they wouldn't let me buy a copy beforehand, but the nerds behind the counter looked totally shocked and almost yelled "NOOOOOO!!" in my face, so I didn't dare to go and ask the same thing about Neverwinter Nights 2 It's annoying hearing everyone else getting the game like.. a week before me. At least that's how it feels.

The camera is the least of my worries. I'm actually more worried about the graphics. Tomorrow we'll see what it looks like on a Radeon X1950XTX.

I could be the one providing the morale boosting pictures of scantily clad Swedish girls!
