Just a tip: Nikolai Zherdev signed for three years with Columbus. If you're doing fantasy teams, you might want to check up on him. He should be fairly cheap, and if he can only stay healthy and get his work ethics sorted, he'll easily notch around 80+ points this season. I was secretly hoping that the Leafs would make a bid for him
  2. Embarrassingly enough, I got 32 of them right
  3. And I who always pride myself on finding computer hardware without shiny diodes.. I'm a typical swede. I like to keep my computer strict and clean. That's why I got me this: By the way, Antec has released an updated version of the case, now in some sort of metallic black. Very nice! Antec Performance P180B!

  5. When I said "Bioshock!" out loud my **** gained five inches.
  6. The Daggerfall intro, uploaded by yours truly! First time ever, I might add.
  7. I just use my normal handwriting when I write my signature. Of course, it helps that my handwriting is so ugly that it looks like someone just scribbled a normal, illegible signature..
  8. The movie showed a Big Daddy beating the snot out of some guy. Not really worth the download since it's just pre-rendered stuff. I'm looking forward to hearing more about the game in the coming days though and the movie showing actual combat might be fun.
  9. Yup, wouldn't surprise me at all. Bioware, the lapdogs of mighty Microsoft. They sure like to compliment themselves, don't they? Anyhow, the game is sounding extremely cool, if they make it all work. They're developing one part of space simulators that I've always found lacking: planet exploration. In every game I've ever played that took place in space, you're kind of stuck on your spaceship. Sure, you can almost always dock on some weird looking spacestation dangling around a planet, but you can never continue down to the surface of the planet and keep exploring that. Most often, you can't even explore the spacestation either, you just get a screen where you trade goods, upgrade your ship etc. I love how Mass Effect seems to be treating the openendedness of the game. I really, really hope they pull this ambitious project off and that it doesn't end up being a huge game with lots of really shallow gameplay bits. That's the danger in trying something of this scope.

Cool! Then I'm going to give you some inside information about him: this year Maurice is going to use Sundin as the sniper. He figures mats has the best shot on the team and wants him to be more egoistic and take more shots. Rumours are flying that Sundin might get to play with Wellwood, who is (probably) the Leafs smartest player with the puck. He's young, but developing into a great setup man. Unfortunately, they still haven't decided on any of Mats' wingers, but I am hoping for Suglobov, who has played extremely well in the preseason. No matter what, except for a major injury (something which Mats doesn't get very often), he's bound to get at least 80+ points. Some tools over at the HFboards are predicting a 100+ season from Captain Clutch, but.. I'd take that with a pinch of salt.
  11. Co-op is a powerful beast. I enjoyed Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel because of it!!1
  12. I loved the FMV intro of Daggerfall. It still rocks.
  13. I have the perfect avatar for me. I had a map of Wasteland for a few days, but then I changed to this (to spite Enderwhining). That was like.. three years ago or something. Or was it two years ago? Who knows. It's old.
  14. Crysis looks amazing. Unfortunately it's "only" a fps. I'll still play it, but I vastly prefer RPG's.
  15. What was wrong with the existing Bioshock thread? Why not add this pseudo-newsbit there instead?
  16. "Surprisingly enough, Markus indicated that Alan Wake would pretty much not run on any single core processors, although it may be possible to run on single-core Pentium 4 processors with Hyper Threading enabled, with noticably reduced image quality/experience." "The demo ran extremely well on the test system, which was a Core 2 Quad running at 3.73GHz with a GeForce 7900 GTX. Markus said that it would have run just as well if the Core 2 Quad was running at its default clock speed, which we assume was 2.66GHz. The game looked even better than when we first saw it at E3 and we eagerly await its release. If Alan Wake is any indication, it won't be long before gamers start thinking about the move to dual/quad core if they haven't already." 18. Coincidentally, Dragon Quest: Journey of the Cursed King (aka. Dragon Quest is the only JRPG I've ever enjoyed..
  19. Well, it wasn't exactly the game that got me awed. It was the fact that this was an early demo of a first generation game for a next generation console that's not even been released yet. And it still looked bloody good! I mean, look at the landscape in the picture below (bad quality from video compression, but still..): It moved pretty smooth too, with some nice water effects and stuff. Impressive, considering that the Playstation 3 is supposed to be the most difficult machine to work with (of the new consoles) and that the game is still in such an early stage that they haven't even finalized the title for it. The hardware definitely shows potential, that much is sure.
  20. I wonder how difficult it would be to find 16 people willing to play as pawns.. "No no, you just stand here. Wear this sack. No, you can't attack anyone. Nope, not fight back either. STOP ASKING SO MANY QUESTIONS AND JUST STAND HERE, STUPID PAWN!"
  21. Still playing Darkstar One. One of the story missions took me down to the surface of a planet last night. I was supposed to fly through a canyon and shoot down a powerfield generator at the end. It was the most underwhelming canyon I've ever seen in my gaming days. It was like flying through a big ditch while shooting mines and really easy fighters along the way. It's a fun game nevertheless.
  22. If you think that is bad, wait till you see the english text on the actual gamebox..
  23. Now Gothic 3 shines gold in Europe Liezen,
