My girlfriend is playing Dreamfall as I'm typing this. I bet she looks slightly better than Muso? when doing it too ) I'm still playing Darkstar One, although I haven't played this week because of my increased gym interest and jogging mania.

It's not like the X amount of cores matter for the end-user. And once programmers/coders get a grip on multi threaded programming, the amount of available cores will be of (almost) no matter for them either. Alan Wake (from the finnish superprogammers Remedy) will use five different threads, for example, no matter how many cores your CPU will have.

Three german magazines are reporting that the major bugs are gone (well, except one that can be fixed by a reload) but that a lot of minor bugs remain. It is in a playable state at least, so nothing a few patches can't fix. I'm still getting it on the release day.

It sounds to me like you're missing a file. That's one of the "default" error message you usually get when unpacking something and the unpacker/installer can't find one of the files.

I think my favourite Deus Ex level is the one in the gas station, where they're holding a girl captive and you have to sneak in. I don't know why, since that's one of the smallest levels in the entire game, but I absolutely loved it.

I'm not sure what the equivalent would be, but the Core 2 Duo E6600 (middle range for Intel) is about equal to the Athlon FX-62, which is AMD's top-of-the-line CPU. So I guess the little Conroe, the E6300, is somewhat equivalent to the AMD X2 4200 (if there is such a CPU).

Yes. You need a Crossfire-enabled motherboard for two ATI Radeon X1900XT cards. But that's an awesome card for its price though.

That's one ugly beast. And to imagine that the G80 (8X00 series) is supposed to demand 175W peak.. while ATI's equivalent, the R600, is supposed to need up to 200W peak! If the G80 needs air + water cooling, what will the R600 demand? That you constantly pour liquid nitrogen on it?

Brand loyalty only hurts yourself. Intel is, right now, the king of the hill. The Conroe core is beating AMD's best CPU's on all accounts. I've ordered a Core 2 Duo E6600 (Conroe) myself. It will arrive here within a week or so.
