  1. Depends on your benevolent score. So much for spoiler tags.
  2. Hey Justin, I remember a review (Matt Barton) of Skyrim that complained the music was too traditional, do you ever wish you could use more analog synth sounds in fantasy games? I didn't agree at the time but I later played the game and thought some sombre pad sounds and eerie leads would have been quite glorious as you delve a Dwemer dungeon or watch mountains emerge through the mist. I forget where I was but it was early game and the music felt strongly influenced by explore/town music from Oblivion or Morrowind, made me feel right at home
  3. We should have a Kickstarter to bring back traditional sized hot-fixes!
  4. The sucky thing is that the outrage had died down pretty quickly, now they've given the whole stupid matter legs by acquiescing.
  5. Pretty sure they're not supposed to be ghosts but that would have been a half decent solution. The Watcher could have been given a power which reveals the spectres, keeping them out of view unless you want to see them. I should say that I do like the soul reading concept and have read some cool little histories...the over-abundance of godlikes is a bit odd though.
  6. They don't bother me but at one point I did kill an unsavoury guy because his memories said he had a legendary obsidian sword...he musta left it at home that day though
  7. A visible action queue for the highlighted character would be a nice helper. If that's not possible maybe they could outline abilities in different colours to represent their place in the queue.
  8. Oh I definitely think bugs when I think Bugthesda, just out of interest were you running an unofficial patch at the time? *edit* I ask because the only version that was available for a long time had a 100% crash issue outside Rivet City.
  9. Compared to pretty much every classic RPG this game has less bugs on first release, it's quite impressive if you ask me. Hopefully the more serious issues will be patched this week and everyone can get on with their virtual lives.
  10. Ouch my GPU!
  11. If they can find an elegant way then power to them...my puny human brain can't see how they'll do it without resorting to simplification though
  12. NPCs definitely tax the CPU but the game still drops frames with CPU and GPU to spare. I get the same thing in Wasteland 2 so I'm thinking the problem is to do with how the engine is being used, patches have helped a lot but it still lags for me in some areas.
  13. Can't well all just focus on the real issue?!...which is, I want those damn cookies
  14. I kept a close eye on my CPU and GPU usage while wandering around laggy areas, neither is hitting 100%.
  15. Kind of feeling the same. I had a slight sadface reaction after the tutorial but nothing since then. But at least my companions are making me chuckle. I think the writing/story is fine/servicable, but nothing is really hitting me on an emotional level yet. But I haven't gotten to Defiance Bay yet either. I think I'm close but I keep getting distracted. I'm not getting a super strong emotional reaction yet, nothing like PST at least, but I've had quite a few chuckles and moving moments, one or two actual laughs! The game can be a real slow burner if you want it to be, I've been in Defiance for a couple of days and only just decided to pick up the main story thread, things have finally start to get more intriguing and twisty, I hope it continues
  16. Definitely agree with this point. One of my regrets for this project for sure. We've discussed solutions but they are pretty risky to try right now. We'll continue to investigate though. Glad you guys are thinking on it, sitting somewhere peaceful and listening to the music while I read books is something I enjoy
  17. Yeah, they can add so much more believability to a location Exactly, pull up in a calm area of the game, listen to nice music, roll one/vape, read some books from the stash
  18. When I realised what they were it bugged me for a while. Since then I've read some really good stories and I don't mind them as much but I agree with the comment on the number of godlikes, if I see a godlike I just know it's a backer NPC
  19. I always loved reading the books and notes in Elder Scrolls games and PoE is giving me more than I hoped for. I Just wanted to say thanks, I get a loregasm inside every new location
  20. The music and sound production in general is excellent, I wish the silence between the tracks didn't last quite so long though...
  21. I've noticed some inconsistencies, like followers saying how much they'd like to visit places I've already been. No big deal but you can't help noticing them.
  22. More hours of PoE, reached Defiance and am helping small children loose their fingers...I should probably have a break tomorrow and play some Stick of Truth. Normal is going ok for me at the moment, I just about scrape through most situations but I really don't know jack about combat system, just learning as I go.
  23. I take that back, it ran incredibly smoothly until I hit Defiance Bay
  24. Fair point. My dad died just after the Kickstarter finished, I remember excitedly telling him about crowd funding and as sick as he was I remember him being interested in the concept, he always loved new ideas. I'll keep my eye out for your father's memorial and have my character drink a toast in his honour
  25. I was wondering about this, look forward to spotting him
