Outcast was (maybe eve still is) imo a pretty unique game back in its time, and highly entertaining. While I wouldn't say it had a "deep, intricate storyline" the writing was strong. I don't mind a HD remake, but hope they get to do OC 2.

Turns out Heroine's Quest is free, so I gave it a quick spin. Looks good, hope it'll live up to the Quest for Glory games. http://www.crystalshard.net/hq.htm

I'm usually one of the first ones to point fingers and yell "bad writing, bad writing!" when I see it, but my crappy writing detector didn't even twitch during Walking Dead. Maybe Bethesda games have broke it. It's the gameplay, or lack of it to be more precise that does deserve some flak, but I did enjoy the story. Especially the end of Season 1 was excellent. But nice to hear Wolf Among Us is good, will get once the whole season is out. I assume by writing you are referring to the dialogue? Because there isn't much wrong with that. I think the problem is more with the narrative/setup. For example, when in ep 1 Or the whole silly railroading at the end of ep 4. Or you know, Clementine, the 8 year old headshot dispenser.

GW2 April's Fools (You can't tell from the stills, but they're bobbleheads as well)

On one hand yes, that's true. On the other hand people complained about Dungeon Siege and South Park at first as well, then ended up liking them anyway. Which just means people should just enjoy a game for what it is, not for what it's called/based on, I guess? Plus it's not like Obsidian is required, or can be expected to just make one type of game when they need the moneyz to stay afloat.

Finished The Stick of Truth. Hilarious, sometimes icky, but I have to say the final boss fight was one of the most fun I've seen in a while. :D

Thinking about it a bit, it's a little funny Sarkeesian used a fanservice drawing of a woman to fight against objectification...using a picture drawn by a woman. I mean, a woman drew a picture of another scantily clad woman. Of her own free will.

Happy Women's Day! There's actually a male and a rodent version as well. Male is just auto-hidden because nobody posts there anymore. http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/64381-keyrocks-hopefully-attractive-rodent-thread/

Cute. While I'm loathe to defend Sarkeesian, considering the ammount of mail she must be getting, it wouldn't be a surprise if she didn't bother reading most of them.

I've read up on Lofwyr a little bit and it looks like he's a personally-keep-tabs-on-everything-and-everyone kind of guy, so I don't think it's too weird for him to show up. Plus he's rivals with Feuerschwinge, you think he'd miss out on this mess?

TWD Ep2 Oh look, You-know-who is at it again.

I'm really liking Dragonfall too, I just wish it didn't have a bug or two in every mission. And Blitz's subplot makes me want to bang a hole in a wall with my head.

In the grim darkness of the Sixth World, there are no patch notes? Mostly asking because I'm not sure if I missed something, or the MKVI mission is bugged and I can't complete the Find more info optional.

The guards are immune. The point of the Sokolov/Pietro elixirs is that they prevent infection. As they are guards, they get them for free, while others have to pay a lot of money, or buy the cheap watered down crap of Slackjaw.

I get that sometimes. Either log out of Steam and wait a few mins or restart the computer. Or just keep trying and maybe it'll work.

Same, just replace ESO with GW2. Wish I hadn't borked chargen though.
-
Yeah, other skills are used as well. I've found 4-5 biotech checks up until now. Btw, anyone figure out the code for the floor 3 hotel restroom? Nvm found it.

You know, it's a bit annoying that I put enough point into Charisma to get 3 etiquettes, but they're useless to me because the game decided to use the other ones (mostly gang and a side of corporate). Well, I'm still only in the first post-prologue mission, but still. Annoying.

So, I entered the Steam key, it got registered, but there's no new download or anything? Okay, restarting Steam fixed it.

Try the sequel if you haven't yet, the writing and atmosphere is stronger I think (and beware side missions you can lose out on if you don't pick the right conversations).
