  1. The second video is a Vladimir Putin publicity film.
  2. A quest to destroy a prototypical printing press, because it is a heretical device of chaos, would be cool.
  3. More than one way to complete the game would be cool. A 'vanquish' option, a 'peace' option, a 'sneaky' option... all of which unlock as you go along.
  4. It needs to be ten. Double digit, even numbers are lucky, right?
  5. Ha ha ha. I'm writing the end of a story. Looking at it in the cold light of day I see a glaring mistake: I lost track of the plot elements and ended up writing the end to a slightly different tale. Hmmm. So I'd say that a game ending should be about wrapping up what went before in a satisfying, and challenging, manner. The protagonist (i.e. you) should have changed in some way (the obvious one in a CRPG is in power and status). This is often done via the epic 'end boss' but as you point out (a la Fallout) as long as that final confrontation is resolved in a manner consistent with your character, and the changes in them, then it's all good. Sorry I don't have a brilliant prospectus for P:E, but those are the broad brushstrokes IMHO.
  6. No this isn't about drugs, it's about Kickstarter and my OCD. Am too addicted! What the hell am I going to do after Wednesday, maybe join a post-KS support group maybe. I've got a book to finish and a missed deadline. So I'm going dark until tomorrow, gonna write and play me some Icewind Dale.
  7. Look on the bright side, the Americans are only just getting going, it's not even 7am in Cali. I think we can do another 40K today perhaps.
  8. 1. it disadvantages folks who already paid for it. 2. it kind of dilutes the whole "go for glory" vibe. Sry. IMHO.
  9. We're at over 40K today already, but I fear 3.5 million might be a Stretch Goal Too Far.
  10. I have a strange feeling we might even end up with nine levels. Which would be a record for an IE game (if not already).
  11. I saw an interview with Vin where he was kind of accused of D&D geekery and he was damn proud. He got Judy Dench playing a game on the set of the Chronicles of Riddick.
  12. This is why I'm dropping more than three times what I spent on my D3 CE. Because I think I'll get five times more play time and ten times more fun out of it, so it's a bargain.
  13. Me? I'm really hoping, for selfish reasons, that everybody speaks English.
  14. Did a Holy Bomb destroy the bridge on the left?
  15. Denerim was a ghost town punctuated by exclamation marks.
  16. Hang on! Going on and on about cooldowns and vancian magic on forums is dandy, but the minute someone mentions that languages should make sense, it's hyper-nerdy? :D Crikey. (I don't speak Klingon, but I used to write in Quenya now and then. I also created a crude version of a Southron speech based on Old Persian and Hittite for our Middle Earth RPG. ULTRA MEGA HYPER NERD ALERT!) :D right back at ya
  17. LadyCrimson, what was your take on the opening scene? Was it a WMD test on an alien world?
  18. No. TBH it's getting into hyper-nerd territory for me, like people who want to speak Klingon. Because once you start trying to make rules for linguistics the whole thing falls apart (I know i'm a bore about Neal Stephenson's REAMDE I love that bit) Next thing people will want to know about authentic in-game pasta recipes. And stuff. So although linguistics is a fascinating topic, I don't want Sawyer applying his Spock-like brain to explaining why Celtic and Italian / Latin - inspired names coexist.
  19. This is why we need to cast the high-level spell :: Summon Vin Diesel :: He's a hardcore gamer and a very nice guy to boot. I would like to see a Vin cameo in this game if he pledges. Riddick the Barbarian! How do we contact him, he's not on Twitter.
  20. I like your style... I wonder if it's possible to get something out on Steam?
