Watched Elfen Lied. First things first, it can't be that bad, since I watched all 13 episodes. But ... man... wtf is it with anime and young children adopting younger children so they can play parents? Is this some sort of grooming? Weird as hell to have those constant excuses for nekkid bewbs and bewb-touching as well.

I post here because I'm bored.

Those mothers are actors. They were already identified from other putin videos, shortly after this video released. Weird how they thought nobody would recognize them... or they simply don't care?

Just finished watching Wednesday. Not bad, not great. I've managed to get through all 8 episodes in short time, so it can't be that terrible. Not sure if I like this whole Hogwarts makeup. Also a bit too much teenage romance stuff, but guess I'm simply too old for that target audience. Performance of the main cast was good, imo. I also liked how the rest of the Addams family was shown. Was a bit confused about how much they cared about some random murder, though. That said, I'm not exactly deep into Addams Family lore, so maybe that's just me. /Edit: So funny how they keep doing those inclusive typecasts. Every show is the same nowadays.

Lexx The Dark Zone is absolutely epic, everyone who criticizes it has no idea what they are talking about. It also has one of the best ever musical episodes of any tv show.

Banker and then criminal records? Those are the worst people, you can't trust them ever, at all, no matter their words. Shame they got to such people and now it's all in ruins. Thank god they noticed it and Kurvitz is blocking the sale.

The pedophile horse is absolutely epic. People back then really thought that this is an ok thing to do in a kids tv show.

Doesn't seem to be that big of an update. I'll wait until the DLC is out before I'll jump back into it.

Wednesday is out now. Watched the first episode yesterday. Not sure yet what to think. It does kinda go into the direction that I expected, but I'm not yet fully repulsed. Guess I will watch one or so more episodes and reevaluate.

Seems like russian terror does have an effect tho: https://thenewsglory.com/residents-of-odessa-blocked-the-road-in-protest-due-to-blackouts/

I actually did start watching this now. At first I was like bleh, but after the 3rd episode and waiting a day it kinda opened up for me. Now later episodes are actually kinda interesting enough to carry the show on its own. Though I still kinda want to slap the main character guy even though he does have some valid points at time

Complaining about the size / scope of Outer Worlds is a bit meh to me, since it was never advertised as a huge open world AAAAAA game. They always said it is a lower budget title, and thus ofc you can't have those huge worlds with crapton of NPCs and stuff. My issue with the game was a different one -- it felt very formulaic. For almost every quest I already kind of knew what to expect and which paths I could pick to get through them. Also the game world consistently had those loot crates every few steps, which didn't felt organic at all. About Pentiment, I wanted to be with the autopsy, but thought I had enough time to talk with some other people. So I did that first.. and then suddenly the ingame time skipped to night time. Since there isn't really any savesystem except for that checkpoint thing, I either have to restart or just go along with it. Probably will do the later now, since that seems to be the expected way to play the game, but still sad.

As we were able to see with the price crash, he wasn't wrong at all about NFTs. : >

I can't stop seeing Death Stranding in that games cover.

On the other hand, you are missing out on the actual plot twist. Still think it was a good movie. But pretty much same thing as the manic pixie dream girl trope. /Edit: Actually this IS the manic pixie dream girl trope, heh.

Yeah, that's pretty much the movie. She is bending over backwards for a person who doesn't give a single **** about her (at first). It's ... just weird. There's so many other people who would have gladly offered every minute of their lives I guess. Case in point: Her other girl friend who is saying exactly that at the end of the movie. Her Lie In April did a much better job at this, since here the male main character at least had reasons that didn't scream incel at every moment.

Agreed. When I heard about the new VO for W2 I was like WTF... Of all the things in the game, THIS is what you decide to spend more money on? What a waste. Same thing with Obsidian and Deadfire... There was no reason to voice every single line of dialog. Just doing the most important characters, or just the first or second line they speak would have been totally fine.

Yeah I'm not sure what to think of those anime. On the one hand I like to get hit into the feels, but on the other hand those stories always feel kinda... sexist to me. I dunno. The stories often cater to a very niche kind of people and it's just cringe. Would love to see something a little more nuanced. That said, I still liked the writing and the story of this one. It's just the main character that is so ugh. His whole shtick of what he said and why he is how he is just made me want to slap him in the face.

Watched I Want To Eat Your Pancreas yesterday. Sad movie. Wasn't bad, however, I kinda couldn't get over how it's one of those anime where a funny, great looking, very charismatic girl is building up the boy nobody wants to talk to. It's kinda... cringe. Still sad movie, though.

"Defunding the police" in case of America means to reassign funds to different branches, such as social services, which is much more helpful in half the cases. Besides, America's Police forces don't need more money. They already have tanks and military gear, what's next, cruise missiles? If at least the money was spend on better training, but clearly it is not. I guess the slogan "defund the police" was badly chosen, since stupid people don't get it (or are getting intentionally misguided, I dunno). That said, if I remember right, the statistics say that pizza delivery is a much more dangerous job than being a policeman, but nobody wants to give them more money. #PizzaDeliveryGuyLivesMatter. /Edit: While we're at it, some funny meme.

IMO this is just not sustainable. First, because the Kickstarter-hype is pretty much dead, and second because you need to deliver "hits" that sell well in order to stay afloat. Also I'm almost sure they burned too much money on stuff like voice over (even added more with later patches to W2 instead of updating things that would be more worth it... like more content in the 2nd half of the game). tl;dr - I think the only way to have a small, sustainable indie-studio is to either have a mega hit that keeps giving you a crapton of money, or you have a *really* small team of only a hand full of people max. Neither inXile nor Obsidian have that.
