Update today?
McSquirl Nugget replied to McSquirl Nugget's topic in Grounded: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
i had no problem getting in compared to previously. I see ants all over again, with soldiers sometimes like before the 8/26 patch. that seems to be fixed. Ladybugs are everywhere again, 3 near the baseball and 3 or 4 more playing around the oak tree roots. This is on a new game also, my previous save was taking to long to load for my lunch break. So that might have something to do with it. -
Bugs Runaway & Recover HP

we must be playing a different game then. i just started a new game on medium for the new patch (took forever to load previous game and i didn't want to spend my whole lunch time waiting) and with clover leaf armor and the pebble spear i killed the wolf spider under the oak tree. Just like i posted above. watch and circle, almost painfully simple. -
i hope it's just aphids

Just logged into the game on my lunch break and had a small update to install. Not seeing any patch notes or whatnot for this. Anyone else get an update? My game is now 0.2.1.2323

if we can toggle this on and off, i'd be for it. I wouldn't want it always on. use it to set your first piece lined up how you want, your wall or foundation, then turn it off as the rest have angles preset, don't need the grid for that.

you need lady bug armor, and to learn their attacks. They're super easy to melee with on medium, i can't see that they'd even be a challenge on Mild. block them then wait for them to rear back and do one of their attacks, when they rear back side step and attack, rinse and repeat. that's all there is to it. they're easier than lady bugs and bombardiers. -
there's nothing in there that talks about taming. Most of the taming requests were for riding insects and having spiders follow you like puppies. Why create rumors? All it says is pet aphids, they could be tamed to be pets i guess. but it doesn't list specifics, so who knows. And i doubt they'll be able to do much, other than follow you around and annoy you with their little chirps.

Auto Sort Inventory
McSquirl Nugget replied to daniel.robert.campbell's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
i also have my own method, i have a chest (or 3) for common bug stuff that i collect a lot of, like fuzz, web, etc. then a couple chests for bug parts, ants and larvae, another for spiders, bombardiers and ladybugs. Then i have a food chest, and then an armor and weapon/tool chest, and finally a few crafting chests, fibers, sap, etc. My sorting is by chest, i don't sort in each chest, easy enough to look at the icons in the chest and find what you want now that they've upgraded those. Sorting A-Z or Z-A wouldn't make a difference for me, but it would be a simple fix for this. Customized sorting would be a huge task, personally, i'd rather they left it as-is. let us organize on our own now that we can move whole stacks. -
Improved Building Mechanics

I like 1 and 2. 3 i think would depend on the game engine. if it can be done sure would be cool to have a round window wall, like a sun room. Not sure i follow 4, i get the closer connections between objects, but what would the benefit of overlapping be? -
huh i skipped right over that i guess, doesn't look like it's in the next update though. it's future planned. Intersting to see what these pets will be able to do.

Recycle Planks / Weed stems
McSquirl Nugget replied to dvsnathan's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
the patch on 8/26 added a timer to remove items left in the game not in containers or pallets. Curious why you have to destroy grass everywhere you go. you can't walk around it? I'd call this player action needed. clean up your map like your mom told you as a kid with your room -
New craftable materials / crafting items

floss is a cool idea for rope, I love it! Usually a floss container already has a cutter in it, and why the mallet? would make more sense to cut it with the axe or one of the daggers. There's a few posts already asking for woven fibers to be created into rope. Maybe they could do the fibers as tier 1 and floss as tier 2. -
All of these are known issues. Except - There's never been mint in the anthill. Are you meaning Quartzite? it respawns fine.

sorry that makes no sense to me. what am i missing? #NoTaming

Bring back the castle rampart walls
McSquirl Nugget replied to Eavega's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
good to know i hadn't done much with clay yet. i have a few that look like pillars mixed in with the scaffolding. Maybe i'll yank the scaffolding and switch to clay. that should give me something to do for a few hours this weekend -
i've been playing since it was released to xbox gamepass in July. no idea how many days total, my current game last i looked was at 58. but i've started half a dozen or more new games since July. I think everyone here loves the game regardless how many days they may or may not have.

Bring back the castle rampart walls
McSquirl Nugget replied to Eavega's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
not sure what i'm missing. my plank walls still do this. and i find it annoying, like @tecknotot said they're a pain to roof and if you want to use plank walls around your foundation then they stick up like that and are ugly, or if you sink them in so they don't stick up, then you get those gaps, again being ugly. I'd like to see the plank walls squared off, and then a new option created to build your rampart looking walls on top of those if you want. It would make building easier and appealing to the eye when using plank walls. Edit- on that thought, we could then get clay ramparts, and stem ramparts, and whatever other building materials we get as ramparts in the future.
