Smugglers 5, not sure what to make of it. I was caught with contraband, and was forced to destroy 5 government ships. Unfortunately that means I can no longer land anywhere but at pirate bases, where for some reason you can't sell contraband there. So stuck with a cargo hold full of contraband with nowhere to sell it. And now have to wait 273 days until the criminal flag disappears.....? And yet I can't deny I'm going to play the crap out of this game.

We really don't need to worry about bioware toning down the looks of women. This is the company that gave us the Asari. A race of lesbian aliens whose boobs aged like wine. Now having traps appear in DA, that is a very real and present danger. Good luck Bruce!

I've enjoyed playing AOW3, but it's lacking something(besides the obvious undead). It needs random events, just to add another factor to the game. Also better diplomacy and AI.

While awesome news, AC was more than just another 4x strategy game. The highlights being the lore, writing and factions. In my mind that will be hardest to replicate, if they even bother to try. Still day one buy.

As much as I want the game, I'm not willing to pay that. I will be buying the $50 close to finish early access. Although in AUS, $100 is quite often the price for a new game from a store.

FEAR was the best, boring level/enviroment design, but awesome AI and atmosphere. Still better AI than any recent FPS has to date, sad when you think about it. FEAR 2 was better level and environment design, but lacked the AI and atmosphere of the first. And that ending...

Decided to try out SOASE:Rebellion Armada 3 mod. Best Star Trek mod I've played. The guys behind it did a really great job. If you like Sins and Trek, you should give it a try. Be warned though, if you go against the Borg prepare to rush before the AI builds a Cube or get curbed stomped. One Cube wipes out large fleets with ease.

Doesn't change the fact that an objective analysis of the implementation of romance in video games is relevant to the "general discussion" of a video game that has decided there will not be romance. First of there was nothing objective about it. Secondly it's an equivalent to a thread about how much better turn based combat is. It's irrelevant to PE now. And I'm pointing out romance discussion in the PE forums is now pointless. Wasn't 5 months ago, wasn't 2 months ago. But it is now. Obviously not given: You still seem to think romance in PE is a possibility. It's not. Obsidian decision to not have romance was not a design choice, or because the devs don't like romance, or because a bunch of posters said ewww. It was because the devs did not believe they had the resources to make a good romance arc. Posting about how romances make games better will not change anything. Because the issue of resources has not changed. Should people start discussing how PE would work in First Person? Should a long winded non-objective analysis of the pros of turn based combat be started? How about discussion about Sci-fi being a better setting than fantasy? There comes a time in a games development, when a certain type of discussion becomes irrelevant. That time has come for romances. Err no. Adding full misses in attack resolution is substantially different to adding romance arcs to characters at this time, when there are no resources for it. Again no romances was a budget decision. If you'd like to insist on continuing a bunch of irrational justification of your own "I want romance" sentiments, then, totally feel free to waste everyone's time (including your own).

That's funny. I don't think the OP said anything about specifically putting romance into PoE. It was simply an analysis of romance in games. Wait, so the topic called 'the case for romance', isn't about making the case for romance and wasn't a reaction to the no romances confirmed. All I see is whining about how NPC's aren't going to be memorable, or as interesting now that they don't contain a dialogue path to romance. And that PE should include them otherwise this game is just IWD. Because whether or not you see the point, it is appropriate in regards to discussion about romances. To be honest one dead horse doesn't do it justice. But there are weapons and armor in PE. There is no romance in PE. See difference. Wait, I thought that people weren't trying to whine until devs change their minds about romance? No you're telling me they are? So this.... Really means, 'we are whining for romance, we're just saying we're not, while we keep posting how we know better then the devs. Eventually they'll see how we are right.'

I don't think whether or not there's romance in PoE was ever up for debate in this thread, seeing as how the title is "No romances confirmed." *shrug* Yet people are still posting about why they think romance should be in PE. Even making spinoff topics with scientific reasons for it............. Or Argument for romance, in the no romances confirmed thread. You know the post you liked. You know this is a sub forum specifically for general discussion about PE? The PE that does not have romances... It's like going on DA:I general discussion and creating the topic 'The case for no romances'.(Which would most likely get you banned from BSN) Again, if it wasn't in the PE general discussion I might agree, but it is in PE general discussion. And guess what? PE has no romances. And I must ask how many threads have there been here about romance in PE.... Therefore:

You made a very complicated question quite simple and said it in a way that shouldn't offend or confuse anyone but is very true, nice one Let it go people. It is no longer a debate. No matter what is said, no matter what polls are shown, no matter how much you moan, their is no romance in PoE.

Next we'll be forced to report when we have sex, so the government can tax that.
