  1. DA:O and DA2 darkspawn weren't very interesting. However in Awakenings it showed they could be, the Architect was one of bioware's best antagonists. To be honest I was hoping DA3 might have one as a companion, to flesh them out some more, but I guess they weren't pretty enough to make the cut. Or bio didn't want to deal with the inevitable, why can't we romance them. Most creatures/races aren't inherently interesting. It's how they are portrayed that makes them interesting(visual/writing). If going forward bio goes DA:A route they'll be interesting, if the keep them as the mindless killing drones of old gods, not so much.
  2. http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/health-news/worlds-heaviest-drinking-countries-revealed--and-the-uk-doesnt-even-make-the-top-10-9357860.html UK drinks less than Australia? Outragous, the UK should be ashamed of itself. More on topic, polishing of a bottle off Chivas Regal.
  3. Currently playing 2k14 in my gm mode, where on draft day I drafted Wiggins #3, Randle #10, Embiid #11 and Exum #14. Safe to say Boston has a bright future, and that the drafting AI is so very very stupid. Almost as stupid as the trade AI that gave me 14th pick for Ben Gordon..... On draft day.
  4. Your complaining that your choices matter and branch the story in different directions, forcing you to replay the game and see the different outcomes(the full story). Yet this isn't disliking C&C? That is one of the main purposes of C&C, replayability. C&C isn't innovation, it's been done for years in games. No gramps.
  5. Wait what? You hate C&C? Nice strawman. Not really, the only reason to dislike locked/story branching content is because you don't like consequences for you choices. Therefore you dislike C&C.
  6. Wait what? You hate C&C? I have issues with the TW games(manly characters/setting/TW1 gameplay), but their use of C&C is not one of them. They do C&C the right and interesting way. And while I probably won't get TW3, I'll get Cyberpunk day one, if it ever sees the light of day.
  7. I must ask how do we know female gamers aren't posting here? Is Bruce running around checking peoples profiles for female gender status? Perhaps there are plenty of female posters here, they just don't feel the need to post about what is between their legs? Why I should care if their are female posters here? Because quite frankly I don't care about what's between forum members legs. You could all be women for all I know. As to female gamers having a hard time in gaming communities, what can seriously be done? Pubescent boys, lonely/desperate men and trolls roam the entire internet/world, not just gaming communities.
  8. http://rogueearth.com/eteriumgame/about/ Anyone heard of this?
  9. Having been there and done that, 99.9% of authors need an editor. I need, on average, four or five re-writes. That's what happens when you write romance novels, about a man and his tank. While it's not the first time I've heard that inane complaint, it's certainly the absolutely worst thing to criticise as an aspect of DA2. If we're going to be saving the world ad infinitum, I'm holding YOU personally responsible for it. DA2 story had more potential than any bioware tale to date, it finally wasn't a save the world story. Unfortunately (IMO) they didn't execute it properly, chose wrong direction/development time struggle.
  10. Inquisitor is $2 on Steam.
  11. So I'm guessing rouges train with armor and do long marches. I'm it's saying it's fantasy and the thought that mages can't wear armor, is the same as thinking a female can't swing a great sword. I get the feeling that you just don't have a fashion sense. If that's fashion, then I happily confirm I don't.
  12. How about mages wear armor? No silly dresses, no cowl and no silly hats. Just plate mail and chain mail. Plate mail and chain mail are both heavy(as heavy as modern infantry armor) and don't have good ventilation. A mage will likely succumb to fatigue since they haven't trained to use armor, plus armor is redundant when you can just cast a spell to increase your armor rating. A mage throws a fireball and no one bats an eyelid, but put them in armor and that's just unrealistic. No.

  14. Still waiting for AI to teabag me after death.
  15. They're been working on Cryengine 3 for nearly two years. Very true. I'll put it this way, I would kill to see an Obs RPG in CryEngine. Even more so now that I've been reminded they have experience with it.
  16. Hasn't CryEngine 3 gone really cheap? After seeing what Deliverance kingdom come is doing with that engine, I would kill to see an Obs game in it.
  17. I don't know. Entropy in the first game had the ability to summon zombies, and it certaintly wasn't part of the blood magic. But who knows. Forgot about that. But weren't the blood mages in DA2 summing undead on mass? Also this is mage gear in DA:I?
  18. Does this mean we can finally enslave nations?
  19. On the plus side there is now a necromancy class. But wasn't necromancy blood magic in previous games?
  20. God damn it, they've scrapped the blood mage specification. I guess having characters react to it was too much trouble for bioware.
  21. Well the twist is that the inquisitor is a demon.
  22. Empires next please.
  23. This is bioware, you'll be a PG inquisitor. Now if you want to play as an Inquisitor Have you played that game, I saw it on GOG and it looks good? I enjoyed it, but it's not a game for everyone. Lots of reading, slow pace, quite hard and no hand holding(poor journal). If you do play it, word of advice, pay attention to everything said in dialogue.
