  1. So Kickstarting a single player RPG that could use the story/assets from the MMO they are working on? Could work.
  2. Wait, are people saying PoE plays like an MMO with pause? Sorry I'm not going to the backer forum because spoilers.
  3. Real time WITH PAUSE. Not playing the beta, but I can't see how a game with pause can be too frenetic.
  4. I was really hoping that CDP would just focus on their cyberpunk game after TW3.
  5. Great. Still more pumped for the remake of the original because zombies are better than whatever was in revelations. Zombies>Hunters>lickers>tyrants> modern RE enemies.
  6. Dragon Age: Inquisition. Not a fan of TW or more to the point Geralt and Triss.
  7. If that was a valid reason to not include Romance we would never see Romance in any RPG , because the definition of "in-depth " is very subjective. So imagine if Obsidians criteria around whether they should include Romance was based on non-Romance interaction being "in-depth"...who would decide this? Obsidian themselves? The fans? Maybe the funders of PoE but the point being you would never get consensus Obsidian should make the decision. I pledged for Obsidian to make a game, not the RPG fan community/backers.
  8. Capcom is doing a next gen remastered edition of the original Resident Evil (yes again), and it's coming to PC. I will happily throw money at this.
  9. 1. PoE 2. WL2 3. DA:I That's not to say I expect DA:I to be crap, just that it doesn't have me as interested as the others. Realistically thought, there is a good chance that DA:I is released before all of them, given WL2 been pushed back to September (and not for the first time), and we won't see PoE this year. Which would mean I will be playing DA:I first.
  10. The problem with comparing game writing to books, is that a book is written by one writer with a vision(hopefully), a game will have multiple writers and said writers come and go. It's why many games can seem inconsistent. Then you have to remember, in the grand scheme of game making, the lead writer is several seats down the pecking order concerning decision making for the game. Drew Karpyshyn was the lead writer of ME1, ME2 he shared it with Mac Walters, who became lead for ME3. That's also not taking into consideration all the other writers that put their finger into the pie. The inconsistencies in the ME series as much to do with writer changes, as the quality of the writers.
  11. Who's left at BioWare from the Infinity Engine days at this point? David Gaider?
  12. Finding out that it's probably the MMO from Bioware Austin Studio, caused what interest I had in it to die.
  13. PC gamer information Apparently they played the PC version, and had to use a controller. Which is very disconcerting.
  14. It wouldn't matter if you did know anything about cricket, there has never been a cricket computer game that bore the slightest resemblance to the Real Thing- much like any Rugby computer game. The latest cricket game was so bad even steam stopped selling it and genuinely pulled it, iirc, with forced refunds and library disappearance. Actually the latest cricket game is Don Bradman Cricket 14, and it's the best cricket game ever made. But it is hard as hell, batting wise. My experiences with cricket games on computer has been so universally bad that I don't really pay much attention to them at all any more. I don't blame you, cricket games in general have been really bad. The only ones even remotely decent were the ones Humanoid mentioned. An while I really think Don Bradman Cricket is good, it's only for those that enjoy the sport. It's not near 2K Basketball or Fifa levels.
  15. It really was the gold standard when it comes to evil paths. F:NV and AP also gave plenty of self serving, destructive and plain out nasty choices. However MoTB was the last chapter of the NWN2 character, FO:NV and AP were games that were story complete. I'm not so sure PE will give an evil path, in a way it's a foundation of future games, to give an evil and good path in the beginning chapter would give Obs a lot of work to do in future installments presuming they do expansions and sequels. Self serving and destructive choices, yes. Actually being the villain like in MotB or AP, not so much, at least in the first PE installment.

  17. I can't even fathom what -30 feels like. I was cold today at 15c.
  18. Meh I have no problem with Origin, except for the fact that I forget I have it and the games on the account.
  19. I find that tall girls are often worth the climb. Very true. Speaking from a different height, it's helpful that you don't have to squat to kiss them. Wals won the thread.
  20. I would pay good money for Grand Theft Effect.
  21. Got to say PE is looking like everything I wanted it to be. + Graphics are great. UI is functional(I prefer functionality to eye candy) Varied choice in conversations Loving the story vignettes C&C apparent at the earliest stages Size of the game, wasn't expecting 140+ maps. Was thinking more towards 100. Polearms - Attack animation don't seem to be weighty, perhaps it's due to watching it, but the blows didn't seem hard hitting. AI pathfinding, really don't want to see an NPC stuck half the map away continually walking into a wall. (Unless they have low intelligence, or have blinded status effect) Seemed easy, but perhaps that's because it was on easy and the devs knew what they were doing. Great job so far Obs, looking great.
  22. Wait is that perhaps horror? From Bioware? The horror of it all. Two sites apparently linked to the game: http://www.seekinghenna.com/ http://www.woods-watsoninstitute.info/ Oh god, what if the university is the setting of the game....... A bioware game set at a university.
  23. I've never played FC2, but I really hope your not enjoying those awful fake aussie accents that are often used in games and television. I am enjoying the accents but I'm not sure how accurate the Australian accents are? Have you played Dead Island? If they sound anything like that, they are bad, very bad. Truth be told accents can be hard to recognize in cases, for example on different occasions I've been told my accent is, Dutch, South African and English.
