In lot of previews there are spoilers about the MotB plot and endings... and yes i am waiting for the new AI and new feats to be able to choose to play with in MotB

... you just ruined my day, maybe whole week with that suggestion...

I have found myself in the same quandary. With the release date coming up I'm a bit impatient and want to know all I can, yet with some of the latest information there has been info I'd rather not know. I know if someone was to post a new interview link after this I would undoubtedly check it out. Yeah, I don't want to read them, but I sometimes cannot resist either. i found myself only looking on pictures in preview lately and the closing the page as fast as possible i have still not finnished MotB, stopped to play after SoZ was announced, so i am trying to do my best to avoid any spoilers

I'd sooner believe Devil, than anyone from EA... especialy, when they are talking about supporting their games... i've seen lot of promises from them about Origin, Westwood and Bullfrog... and we all know how these promises ended up... With EA Purchasing Bioware, I was thinking giving them another chance, but with the **** they pulled with Mass Effect, i was just convinced, that i rather go get Rabbies than purchasing anything from them again... My last game from EA was Wing Commander Prophecy Gold, and that will remain until the end of the world...

You would change your mind about virtual punishment, if you have put 6 or more month into your character and some jerk would log onto your account and transfered your character to his account... If every single hour i spent with my character last four years cost 1 Euro, i would have lost 4512 Euro if that would happen to me... Tbh i would like to see that person rot in prison somewhere in Uzbekistan for that...

Bah, when you complaining about graphics, look at AoC.... Very demanding graphics is besides the bugs the biggest reason why AoC failed so hard getting more subscription, very few people can play it good... WoW on other hand i have more than 2 years old Athlon64 3500+ with 2GB RAM and i can play it on 1680x1050 on maximum details with FPS in range of 20 to 80 depending on location and number of people around... I dont want to see how AoC would run on my machine... and I take WoW graphics over AoC, ME or Crysis anyday... at least I dont need to fork out 1500EUR for new PC every year... This does not mean, that i will be buying the game... i was very excited about it few years ago when the MMO was announced, but now... EA will never see single penny from me, even if that game would be the best invention since sliced bread... they ruined enough in the past and will ruin even more in near future with their stupidly overretarded DDRM policy...

That was pretty much my experience. Exploring the world was fantastic, but nothing about the later levels appealed to me. I'm not a big fan of the grind of MMO's, and WoW was great at masking it until about level 45. I've heard they sped levelling up after the first expansion, so maybe it's less of a grind now. But the gear grind still sounds pretty crazy. compared to other mmo's, it's realy minimal grinding atm... if you think wow is grind, never ever touch lineage 2 or final fantasy XI

What am I looking at there thats a server first? The "Ambassador" prefix? If so, what do you have to do to get it? Is that a new type of dragon mount? The Dragon Mount ... reward for one of the achievements and for the ambassador you have to be exalted with all 4 faction capitals...

Is it really true that consoles are seeing a greater proportion of turn-based games and less emphasis on graphics than PC games? Yes, especialy if you like japanese games and storyteling, you'll be in gamer heaven... I was orthodox PC only gamer until i was 28, when i decided to purchse me Wii and Playstation 2 and i tell you it was one of the best choices i have ever made, just dont do a mistake and never buy EA game on it, or you end up forking out 50 EUR for 8 hour long game... I finnished only 4 games so far (i purchased 16 so far for consoles ), and every single one had 90 - 130 hours played when i finnished them (not counting endless hours when I was figuring out tactics for optional bosses on my own without peek into gamefaqs) i dont remember when i had so much fun with PC games... and yeah if you want to have maximum fun possible, buy only exclusive titles, you can then rest asured that they spent all the time at polishing it into perfection, instead of trying to make crappy port just to be sure they can hit release date for all the platforms simultaneously...

I believe it will recognize the change and make you use a new authorization, if not then people could simply copy files from PC-to-PC and play the game that way. I don't think I've ever heard of software doing this. I mean, I can add ram, change a video card, ad do quite a few other things and even my OS will not skip a beat. That would be a serious issue, but I'd like to see more documentated cases of this actually happening. plugging in and then unplugging new HDD to my machine triggered new activation for my windows XP... Few people had activation of Mass Effect triggereed after plugging in new monitor and similar stupid things...

Exactly, WoW makes Blizzard far too valuble to close. You've got a point, but I WANT WARCRAFT 4!!!!!!!!!!!! just wait 5 - 6 more years and you'll have it for sure

So is it legal and they have modded consoles on the shelf, and advertise this fact, or is it illegal and all done on the sly? Say I turned up in Portugal and decided I wanted to buy a modded console, assume I speak the language but don't know my way around and don't know anybody, can I find a store that will sell me a modded console as easily as I can one that will sell my a legit console? Probably, but what does PC users being more tech savvy have to do with PC piracy versus console piracy? All you're doing here is showing just how much more complicated it is to run pirated games on console than on PC. Clearly we have a different idea of what makes for "tech savvy". 100% of the people I know with HD consoles and HD TVs didn't even realise their consoles were still running in SD. That's about as un-savvy as you get. To someone like that, "all you need to do is insert a memory card and run a self-extracting program that you've set up on a PC" is anything but simply, it'd sound rather intimidating. It might sound simple to us, but I can guarantee you that the average person won't agree. I don't know how in Portugal, but here it is compeltely legal to do with your purchased goods what you think is best for you... you are only risking to lose warranty if you open it... and this can be circumvented when you let it mod by someone who works in "authorised repair shop" (dont know the right english name for facility like this)...

That is very interesting. I didn't know significant piracy existed on a large scale on consoles. Console piracy seems more regional and not as widespread as PC piracy. it depends on the country where you live... i do not know a single person who does not own mod-chipped console, and i do know more people here who buys PC games and pirate console games, because console games cost sometimes more than double price than PC games here...

D'oh! Reading that was like a kick in the sack. So the patch will have the new talents right? I cant imagine both versions would be DVD only, that would hurt sales. I guess worst case scenario Ill yoink an external DVD from work and use it install at home, only need it that one time anyway. Yes, the new patch will feature new talent trees, mandatory DVD will maybe hurt sales, but i think very little tbh, most of the gamers who still dont have DVD-ROM in their PC will just do the same thing as you plan to do (borrow external drive) or just buy it or wait day or two for digital download being available. I realy do think that it is slowly time for manufacturers to switch from multiple CDs to one or multiple DVDs I remember games when they was released on 3.5" Diskettes and the possibility to install game from 1 CD instead of 22 3.5" was the reason why i purchased the 1st CD-ROM that was available in my hometown at that time The Disc - o - theque whenever i am installing WoW or any other CD only game on new PC is just killing me slowly
