  1. If this is actualu correct, it might be 1st EA game i purchase after they destroyed Origin... Still will not preorder but wait on Amazon reviews...
  2. No it's not random... you make 1st pull and if you do not kill him in 1 hour after 1st pull he is gone for a week... And Ulduar reset timer is 7 days...
  3. The only reason why Algalon is not yet dead, is that he spawns for 1 hour per week...
  4. And I would call both of those crap even if they were the first games in the series. Doom 3 was not the best game ever made, but did you try to play it on hardest difficulty? I tell you theres, realy much difference... The game meant to be played that way imo... I realy liked how was many of the levels covered with absolute darkness, and you have to use flashlight all the time... last time something like that was in an FPS was Alien versus Predator...
  5. Still playing FF XII and Darkfall Online
  6. It reinstalls your old system and with the new awesome 3 time only activations for new games you lose one activation that way... if you make something wrong after you install your rentals, and you have to reinstall the system again, you lose another activation... if you buy new GPU, or HDD, or whatever, in many cases you lose another activation... congratulations, your game is now unplayable... unless you call customer support, which is not available in most countries... so in order to get one more activation in some countries you would spent about 200EUR/USD on call...
  7. Well, it's the usual : --- DRM doesn't really work, there are still pirate versions out there --- the most awful DRM, namely the ones with a limited set of installation and a must-have internet connection scare the consumers and push them to piracy. Basically, I call it "incitation to steal" No. Most consumers still pay, while those that have always been inclined to steal will continue to pirate, and only hide behind words like DRM so that they think they can justify their thievery. Nobody forces you to buy a game, and nobody provokes you to go pirate a game, except your own moral decay. Heck, I've been lately bought two games from Atari (Riddick, MoW) that use these infamous DRM systems, yet I have had no problem to install or play these games. If that is supposed to be the worst the industry can come up with, then I consider myself appeased. But it's the same like saying, i just bought a car and because i never had issue with it, you guys who have to go into service with it must just be full of fail... Bollocks. If the game has issues, there will be a patch released, or new drivers, or whatever. That's also service. I've yet to understand why DRM would cause a failure to run the game. you'll see when you upgrade to Win 7 Which I won't for a year or two. Until then, all known issues will be a thing of the past then. I bet, that's what people were thinking when they were buying The Temple of Elemental Evil aswell

  11. Yes, and the problem is that the definition of an "ideal" balance point is subjective. Many of us feel that the balance point content producers have found is tilted in a decidedly anti-consumer direction. Obviously, because we are consumers. If that was our money being lost, or potentially being lost, we may feel otherwise. If you purchase 50EUR/USD good, and it does not work, because DRM conflict with your system, and you cannot even return the good, you are losing your money aswell...
  12. Not enough studies have been done/released... but I did find this one from Reflexive interesting. Apparently they had a rather large boost in sales after implementing some anti-keygen/crack measures. ...I think I hear footsteps... probably the anti-drm folks coming to dismiss or discredit this article Lot of such articles was released about sales of music gone high when DRM was drop down, lot of small music groups got up to 400% boost of sales after they album was torrented etc...
  13. Will it? You upgrade that often! Yes... this year new PC, next year Win7... Last time activation of one software i use based on hardware changed when i removed my backup harddrive from PC... i connect and remove with backup harddrive all the time... and i am reinstalling my system very often aswell... using tools from Acronis, it takes 15 minutes max to reinstall my PC... so why not doing it so often... last time i reinstalled XP, my boot time gone 30 second faster, and launching of programs 1 second... *Shruggs* Your loss... Having my PC fast and clean all the time is no loss for me...

  15. And i dislike people who thinks that only their oppinion is the correct one... Opinions are fine, but the FACTS! Facts can be corrupted on the intarweb. It's just one of those LONG boring pointless pathetic conversations. Am I interested in MoW , YES! Will DRM effect my ability to play MoW, NO! Am I interested in MoW , YES! Will DRM effect my ability to play MoW, Hell YES!
  16. And i dislike people who thinks that only their oppinion is the correct one...
  17. Congratulations, you just found why we are so opposed to limited installs being part of the games
  18. Demigod sales thriumph over piracy. http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2009/04...over-piracy.ars
  19. There are few Starforce games which were not cracked so to this day, but even Securom compared to Starforce is like sling compared to catapult...
  20. Yeah, but what we have to remember is that were just the vocal minority. Whats the old saying, for every roach you see there are 100 you dont see. Thats us, were the roaches. For every poster you see there are 100 that dont post/care. Add up every poster on every Fallout board and what do you have? Maybe 300 active posters? And FO sold MILLIONS of copies. So, at the end of the day, while it appears a large group of us are in agreement the end result is far different. if they dont care to post about them playing old games does not mean they never play them... If the vocal minority of my nation would not speak 20 years ago, i would still be living in country ruled by communism...
  21. oh yeah, because paying ten times for same thing is so cool!!!
  22. The difference is that I dont eat games, and i dont play with my hamburgers... And guess what... Just as an example Fallout 1 is already 11 years old, and when you look in here http://forums.obsidian.net/index.php?showt...5&start=195, you find still many people playing it... Unbelievable isn't it? Enjoy your 3 times rentals, we enjoy our long life goods...
  23. Won my first fight (against a lvl 3 Brute - http://amentep.mybrute.com/tf/6847507 ), lost - some might argue I was unmercifully ground under the heel of my opponent - in the second match (against a lvl 7 Brute - http://amentep.mybrute.com/tf/6913043 ) Kinda fun. Will go back to normal fights for awhile, though I think. i do attend tournaments everytime i can levels are not so big difference in my brute... i have seen in finale lvl 21 beating lvl 47
