From my experience on PvP servers, alliance 15 years average, horde 25 years average age... says all about maturity

true on the level 30, but with the rate you progress in the levels it's impossible to keep up with the leveling of skills and abilities to the rate that you are increasing in power (I've tried trust me). I ended up sending my horde paladin 40g from my deathknight (who I made AFTER the paladin, but earned 200g by the time he hit hellfire) just to make it so that I could keep up with leveling. I picked up Mining and Jewelcrafting as a professions and i never had problems with money, i got around 300g at lvl 40 (it was befoer the change to lvl 30) when i purchased the mount, my first character on server.

OK. Which one? If you go for PvP server never ever roll alliance, unless you want to experience most retardedly immature type of general chat that was ever in an multiplayer game, that being said alliance on PvP is 15 years old on average. On PvE or RP server you get very mature community on both sides...

When have they ever just shut down a server for a major company like that? People worry too much. I posted two links few posts ago about MS and Sony shutting down their DRM servers, it would be not 1st time when obsolete bussiness was shot down when new one emerged to save money.

Actually I don't quite understand the uproar unlimited ammo regularly creates. Most shooters (survival and tactical shooters aside) already have unlimited ammo, i.e. they throw so much ammo at you, it might as well be unlimited. And as a side note, the way ammo is handled now makes games damn predictable. I still remember HL2, where you pretty much knew in advance what's going to happen, just by the ammo that dropped. therefore i dont liked HL2, and that's why most today's shooters suck, i have to play my 1st playthrough on highest difficulty, because it's around the lowest difficuly in 1995... and then... end of fun... no higher difficulties available... if there is no thrill to run out of ammo, there's no reason to play it at all... go play Alien vs Predator 1, and see how a FPS can be thrilling if you dont have billions of bullets lying around...

Some people are okay with liking EA products. I know its crazy, but you've got to accept it, Nightshape. Better 2 EA products than Fallout 3 lol... better a lobotomy than single EA product... that means lobotomy > 2x fallout 3?

Now you're just being silly. Not realy, Automatic Health Regeneration and Unlimited Ammo in FPS is same stupidity as Autosolve Button in Puzzle Games...

Valve does not need to go under to shut down servers... It did not had half the finess of Half-Life 2, which is even older I presume you meant Halo. And as I said in the post you quoted HL2 has more to it than shooting stuff. The fun doesn't only come from shooting different colored aliens, but also from varying gameplay, puzzles and an interesting(to me at least) story. No i meant HalfLife 1 i just pressed wrong key Fixed already :D And I never played Halo nor any sequels, so i cant judge it.

Sorry, I miss-wrote PS2 with PS3 (that's why the edit). I once owned a PS3 and played Drake and MGS4, but what stuff do you think is good (and exclusive) on the PS2? No Sqauere-Enix stuff please. I heard Primal, God of War, Ico+Sequel are good for starters. God of War for sure is a must buy, Grand Turismo 4 is my recommendation, If you can get some stuff from ebay buy Crash Bandicoot 1,2,3 (all ps1 games, but ps2 versions of crash are not so good imo), Metal Gear Solid series, Devil May Cry series, and still i have to reccomend you Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts series Oh yeah i forgot Tenchu and Onimusha series... EDIT: and yeah i recommend you to buy PS3 again after it's price hit bargain bin like the price of PS2 is atm if you are full time PC player there will be lots of worth-to-play of exclusives aswell...

Ehm... you forgetting that PS2 is 8 years in sale and still selling... Let's talk about peak of the consoles after Wii will be 8 years on the market... If the buying of it will continue in same pace we should be at around 150millions at that time... simple math...
