You are forgetting that they invested 800 million into ME PC and DAO IP's so they pretty much covered all Bioware's developing costs

If you realy think that the securom deal was less than few millions you are pretty naive and you can bet EA expected at least double if not triple the sales on PC

ME sold 2,5 million units on the 360 alone. Add the PC sales, and you have 3 million. Now don't tell me those aren't good numbers. you do know that EA has not seen a single dime from the Xbox release? so if they even sold 500k (which i realy doubt) ME PC that is for EA surely disapointing release... Boy, you really have some nerve. ME (PC) was the deal for EA! Just imagine, they only had to spend money for the conversion! And SecuRom and activation servers + their maintenance + staff who must solve billions of problems with DRM...

Sorry but you are wrong... Bioware and Pandemic was purchased as one entity... But serves them right... If you dance with wolves, be prepared to get eaten... and Bioware?... I bet EA was realy dissapointed with the sales numbers of Mass Effect...

No way to know without looking at the contracts. I wonder if EA has the rights to their IPs? You can bet they do have rights covered for everything Bio ever created and is not owned by ATARI...

Atari might think it still might be profitable, but does Obsidian? I think Obsidian is better off either making their own IPs or non-DnD products, much like Bioware has done. And then sell to EA because they spent to much cash for making Mass Effect? No thank you... You would be surprised how many people would disagree with your opinnion here...

Final Fantasy IX, WotLK

I found it quite interesting that they did this. Looking at it from one perspective, Ubisoft basically called the bluff of many pirates ("We only pirate because of the eeeeevil DRM")... and judging from a few torrent tracker sites I looked at, the pirates were basically proven to be full of sh*t. The torrents says only about people who do not buy games, lot of people who refuse to buy securomed games have purchased this game only because it's DRM free, same with Sins of a Solar Empire and lot of games from gog.com... every single software ever released got pirated... be it PC, console or mobile application... and no DRM ever will change that...

That news made me realy realy sad another gold classic gonna be turned into pile of steaming ****...

NWN2: SoZ, WoW: WotLK, Final Fantasy 3

The man tells the truth!!! Alien versus Predator 1 wins the "Best Atmosphere Ever Award" in a FPS game... I never played 2, but iirc 1 was really atmospheric. It was like being right in the movie. It was also dang hard, too. AvP 2 was imo not so good as AvP 1, but i still can recommend it to you, just dont play it on hardest difficulty when you play it for the first time

In lot of previews there are spoilers about the MotB plot and endings... and yes i am waiting for the new AI and new feats to be able to choose to play with in MotB

I have found myself in the same quandary. With the release date coming up I'm a bit impatient and want to know all I can, yet with some of the latest information there has been info I'd rather not know. I know if someone was to post a new interview link after this I would undoubtedly check it out. Yeah, I don't want to read them, but I sometimes cannot resist either. i found myself only looking on pictures in preview lately and the closing the page as fast as possible i have still not finnished MotB, stopped to play after SoZ was announced, so i am trying to do my best to avoid any spoilers

I'd sooner believe Devil, than anyone from EA... especialy, when they are talking about supporting their games... i've seen lot of promises from them about Origin, Westwood and Bullfrog... and we all know how these promises ended up... With EA Purchasing Bioware, I was thinking giving them another chance, but with the **** they pulled with Mass Effect, i was just convinced, that i rather go get Rabbies than purchasing anything from them again... My last game from EA was Wing Commander Prophecy Gold, and that will remain until the end of the world...
