  1. Are You talking about armor rating? 18 AR is nothing to be shy about but for ar stacking palladin is the way to go.
  2. I had it. The combat was the same, only difference was that some bounties (ships) had different stats, like 135 hull. BTW when the patch got rolled back all my progres (saves) is incompatible with game.
  3. re Aloth, spellblade is awesome with spirit lance (toxic strike, blinding strike, deep wounds, all in AOE, riposte is ridiculous). At least was, maybe patches changed behaviour of spirit lance. Plus nice bonus for opening with some nasty spell from stealth if You go with assassin.
  4. You can just cast 2 spells/level no matter how many of grimoires you have (there are exceptions).
  5. @up You can pull them one by one by setting the trap in a place where only one can hear it. And there another trap and another etc.
  6. Singing scimitar for chanter, gloves from plagued ship are items that can speed You up. For example cantor can go sub 1.5s with pistol (modal) and dw that scimitar but acc will be meh. There are few weapons with inherent speed buff (sword from one of vailian family, modwyr will stack speed on hit if I remember correctly)

  8. Can anybody confirm that 4.0 stops spawning Belranga? Because for me it is. There is nothing about it in patch notes . If yes it is pretty underhand move from Obsydian considering that there is bunch of dudes running thru Deadfire all mythical and now new chars cannot . Besides, how many patches before was she introduced and O did nothing to stop respawns.... ps yes,yes I know it is beta ..
  9. If we could "buy" +1 in stats for exp past lvl 20 it would be nice. Or something like "masteries" in abilities/spells (+PL, but maybe limit it to PL7 and below)
  10. Huana will send ship after You if You have -3 rep with them. Killing everybody in Takano estate is enough if reputation is 0. You can do it at any lvl with good crew and upgraded ship (starting ship and red dream is enough).
  11. Did You hit with CW(Fort save)? It should work with any dmg with roll.
  12. That gear isn't that specific, it's more or less top for each slot, you gonna end with either of that cloaks, that boots are giving resistance for might affliction and high INT is even more important for rouge. Besides there is always a vanilla monk, nothing wrong with him.
  13. Yes, if you go cipher/x You can pick both. But I don't know if it's worth it with transcendent if You don't play PotD. On lv18 I am maxing will at 170(Boots of stone, that star Cape, prostitute boon, necklace +2 INT, borrowed instinct, psycho shield, 10 starting resolve, max wounds). That armor is from Valera/Bardatto quests, there is +5 will on that sword from random encounter in Neketaka too
  14. I've soloed her with monk/cipher ( in classic) but it should be doable with Ydwin with right setup, the only benefit of monk was high INT (longer buffs). You need Magnera's Chain, Blunting Belt, Cadhu Scatlh (modal on, max athletic to boost deflection and mitigate overpenetration from her crits), rings of regenaration, some necklace to boost INT(Charm of Bones) , shark soup for food, abraham for pet (healing at the beginning), some stuff to boost ACC (Acina's Tricorn, bracers) and last piece of puzzle is Eccea's Arcane Blaster. Stay behind wall of spiders, buffs all time up (Borrowed Instinct/Body Attunement), kill minions. When she is in 120s with delection You can star pew pew her with Imbued Ammunition (special modal, deals crush/corrode and that is where her AR is weakest). You should have enough focus to keep the buffs up, maybe even for some disintegration (I've landed few). I didn't went for lower defences on her because she deals more damage with each dead spider. Good luck.
  15. That how this spell works so You have to work around. Plenty of tools for that, arcane dampener, arcane cleansing, kill them with spells, summons or ranged weapons. On lv19 full party and veteran difficulty You should roll over them easily with a little bit more knowledge.
  16. Trinket from spider Queen should immobilise one for a bit, they don't have DEX immunity. But it's targeting fort so that can be a challenge. It's a pity that monk can't steer his summons.
  17. Maybe it was nerfed but SC rouge could spam gambit with rapiers allmost constantly. You just have to push ACC (77, +10 PER, +3 bracers, +20 accurate and legendary rapiers, +20 modal, +10 natures resolve, +10 gambit, if You could distract enemy its like +10 so it is like 150-160 ) and have 14 guile for 100% hit to crit(10% for 1 guile after gambit). Bonus dmg was something like +80% sneak, +50% crit, +50% deathblows, +200% gambit. It didn't work unfortunatly on everybody, for example fire dragon have crit to hit conversion. But for me it's spellblade where rouge really shines. Toxic strike with high INT and spirit lance can drop 1k of dmg over few enemies just for 3 guile.

If You're playing cipher Magistrates Cudgel is quite nice(+10 acc for everything) and stunt on crit(next -10 on fortitude) , there is a hat that give +5 acc to all ranged attacks spells included. Btw i've rolled transcendent and I am surprised by his performance, deflection with gipon p is ok at least, but other saves are in paladin range during combat.
  19. On speedrun that You can find on YouTube guy is sneaking past and completely avoiding fight. So it's matter of having Rouge with high enough stealth if You really need it. Edit. But it's on early version of the game, 1.0 I think.
  20. Maybe if there is no body after disintegration it would prevent spawning lower oozes?? Kaylon did You try to finish first one with disintegration?? Or fortitude is to high?
