  1. https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/107915-why-is-naval-combat-so-broken/page-1 You didn't create it but took unreasonable offense. Clearly too deeply invested in a feature that never got fleshed out to your expectations. How ironic.
  2. Would you like me to link the topic you created about "ship combat being broken" bc you cant GTA boats or any other number of complaints that can easily be dismissed as unreasonable or dramatic?
  3. It's clearly not minor to the TC or many others who have created such threads. Is it really your place to tell a consumer how to feel? Personally I've gotten over it but I think it's a bad design decision as well. There are other things in this game that make me very frustrated, like the absurd amount of bugs constantly breaking my immersion and enjoyment. And to that you may disagree, but that doesn't change anything my feelings on the matter. I think you either didn't read thoroughly or you misunderstood my post. Basically I agreed to the general statement. Remember that the OP doesn't complain about the implementation and concept of MIG but only the badly scripted MIG checks and the racial bonuses (Aumaua +2 MIG for example). This is a minor detail if you look at it objectively - compared to the rest of the (huge) game. And since we had lots of threads about it and nothing changed I also agree with OP that it's too late to do anything about this. So best is to accept it or move on if you can't live with it. You can feel however you want. But if you get very frustrated or sad because a game doesn't meet your expectations then you are too deeply invested. It is, after all, just a game. For all I care you can do the Rumpelstiltskin dance until you feel better or drink a bottle of scotch to cope with the frustration. It's your choice. But it's not a good one. I completely understood everything you said. The same could be said bout spending most of, if not all, your free time on a board - being too deeply invested.
  4. Luckily for us, game knowledge doesn't necessarily translate into sound arguments

  6. I'm glad someone necro'd this. I've been playing with Ondra, Rym, Galawain, and Abby challenges. I've tried Berath and Wael. Here are my thoughts - Fun Enhancement Tier: Rym - spoiling of food adds another, but reasonable, layer of strategy without breaking the bank. Also provides reason to visit all the food vendors. Galawain - makes beasts tougher, but not terribly so Kinda Not Noticeable Tier: Ondra - bigger storms which is cool, but didn't notice too much else Annoying Tier: Abby - great idea but horrible execution. Weapons and armor break every other fight and if you're not careful they will break forever. Def hurts the wallet big time. Berath - I mean it's fine, much harder in the beginning, but not really my cup of tea WTF Bonkers Tier: Wael - by hiding "some" numbers, it really means all numbers lol even ability charges and other necessary info. My hats off to anyone who completes this challenge.
  7. I think these skeletons may actually need more of a buff...Gorecci St. pfft
  8. Ah. So that's why I like Orlans. It's always the things you don't have... Orlans are cute and fuzzy, and maybe a slight bit dangerous
  9. I'm starting to think single Cipher is better than I initially thought. They can really turn a battle and has some nice buffs as well. Gonna create an Ascendant once I'm done w Sera
  10. Hi - On my 6th playthrough and Galawain has always referred to himself as 'my God' during the RDC's coral reef mission. Even after I did his bidding it sounded awfully close to me having pledged to him, but I didn't. Is this a bug or am I misunderstanding?
  11. This. I'm finding a lot of small new bugs.
  12. If Deadfire didn't have so many shallow systems and insane bugs I'd agree with you. Imagine a game like Mass Effect 2 being released and the import completely not working and the final boss becoming invisible and unfightable.
  13. Microsoft may just decide that Pillars isn't profitable or mainstream enough and move on, so I wouldn't bank on another Pillars necessarily. Heck we aren't getting a new Mass Effect or Deus Ex anytime soon and those franchises are vastly more popular than Pillars.
  14. In all fairness, that's not what he said tho. Saying, what do you know? And then you're right, is contradictory and weird. Its comical and confusing and being called out as such.
  15. Yeah debuffing is more of Cipher role now
  16. Hmm prob shoulda went with Nature Godlike but I like Moon Godlike better for RP purposes.
  17. Single Trickster is best bc of Freezing Rake/Wall of Many Colors + Mask of the White Witch and Eye of Wael. And you still have all the Rogue abilities. I use two Scepters (EoW + Splintered Reef scepter), Modwyr + Duskfall/Griffins Blade, and some combo of Flails or Maces for crush damage. Also I'd recommend multing Eder into a Swashy and creating/using other Rogue multis for those juicy Sneak Attacks.
