TURN BASED combat in Deadfire?!
Verde replied to Silvaren's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I feel like it's going to be entirely broken on release. There is nothing showing me that Obs has the ability to release something without a mountain of bugs for both new and existing systems.

My Opinion of Eder's Usefulness Has Changed
Why do you have another username Cartoons Plural? Also when Boeroer mentions Morningstar in every thread you and the cronies slob all over him. But someone else gets excited about something different and it's 'off with his head'. Keep the peace yall. Lmao. Just have the one username. But nice sleuthing Sherlock Holmes! You’ll catch the villain next time. Your comment strongly suggests a lack of intellect. Speaking of intellect, anyone know of a multiclass combo that benefits from high intellect? Maybe something tanky that can summon and heal? I like chanters and paladins. Any ideas? It's always fun seeing someone implode. Enjoy your posting while you can

The funniest part of Forgotten Sanctum (spoilers)
I just love their dialogue and how goofy it is. But oh, they don't mess around if you're looking for a fight.

Eder builds/equips? (Now build advice in general)
I'm finding that 2 off tanks generally seems to be the way to go in Deadfire. Especially if those 2 can still dish out enough damage to make them dangerous to disengage. In that respect I think Eder does a great job as swashbuckler, especially combined with Pallegina using a 2 hander. That was a nice try at pivoting

Sell me on a fun Priest multiclass
Nice I started one yesterday!

Sell me on a fun Priest multiclass
What about a Wael/Lifegiver? They seemed primed but optimal healing.

v4.1.0 is now available on the Beta Branch
They have bigger issues than explaining one spell, when most of the summons and Vela don't work correctly and we STILL have modals for weapons we arent using. Plus the Forgotten Sanctum DLC doesn't even start for some ppl.

Eder builds/equips? (Now build advice in general)
The subject of this thread is not "what makes the best tank" it's "best ways to gear Eder specifically." If you're not going to stick to the subject at hand and just inject your own opinions, then you're better off not posting. The OP mentions Eder being a tank. I found his post relevant as I play Eder similiarly. You guys and this mob mentality smh.

Was meeting and befriending the giant spores. And then getting the ending slides about the spore colony

Question to devs: content complete?
Verde replied to juanval's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)There are still some serious bugs as I may have mentioned previously. For example, endings slides still don't make sense. I killed a certain pirate during a questline and yet he is leading them in the slides. Plus a ton of random small bugs - multiple modals still show up (at one pt I had 4!) super loud Drake sound, multiple missives, DLC quests not able to he completed.

I always do a sword and board tanky swashy with warhammer/flail and large shield. You're my boy Eder!

Dynamic Priests - Making Priests Great Again
Priest of Abydon is such a cool idea. I'd play that in a second.

What would you like for an hypotetical PoE3?
Verde replied to juanval's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)O gosh, Beat Dark Souls for the first time maybe like two months ago? I expected an unfair, frustrating excercise in masochism, and what I got was a game with probably the best action/RPG system I can think of, great atmosphere and most of all, phenomenal level design. I really wasn't expecting the last one, but exploring its world was a real joy. DLC has some really phenomenal boss fights. Started Dark Souls 2 about a week ago. I didn't get far, didn't even reach the first boss, but wow, first impressions are pretty bad. Movement and combat overall feels sloppier, completely lacks any atmosphear and it delights it setting up riddiculus ambushes and calling it a challenge. It just feels dull. I would probably refund it, if I didn't buy it months ago on sale with DS1. Oh well, I hope it will get at least a bit better as it goes on. It really doesn't.

For what it's worth, I enjoy your writing. Even though it can be a bit uncouth

I have no idea how to beat [Forgotten Sanctum spoilers]
The reflection potions helped a lot thanks. I positioned my entire group to one side and it was a lot easier. Can't imagine this fight on PotD!

The godamn Oracle of Wael. I get him down to Hurt and my party gets wiped. It's those damn beams. How did others beat him?

Best 1H weapon choice for a Devoted at this stage of the game?
Modwyr is prob one the top 3 weapons in the game imho. There is also Duskfall. I love Watcher's Blade for the very cool upgrade to spawn a shadow upon kith kill.

Forgotten Sanctum starting problems, still?
Verde replied to xzar_monty's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I sailed around a bit bc I was having problems initially. That seemed to solve it. But if it doesn't, you can always head to the Hall of the Unseen. Sucks tho bc you miss out on a cool cutscene with Llengrath.

Guys, the bugs...THE BUGS
It was fixed at one pt and resurfaced I iirc.

Why is Naval combat so broken?
Verde replied to Soybeanarson's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Yeah I made my last pt and gonna walk away from this shipwreck (ha) of a thread.

Why is Naval combat so broken?
Verde replied to Soybeanarson's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)-> says naval combat is broken -> has only experienced a portion of naval combat Shooting at a ship addresses your complaints about why you can't steal a ship or why it disappears.
