  1. I didn't realize we segregated gamers into liberals and conservatives Do conservative gamers stand for big companies like EA and liberals for indies?
  2. I think the right question is: can they come up with another way to make the Watcher start at level 0 again?*Begins sharpening pitchfork*
  3. Ah forgot about the stone...that is something. It's been a while.
  4. QQQ game is to easy QQQ obs plz buff difficulty QQQ The fact that they don't drop phat lewtz is an oversight imo. No achievement or loot seems like an oversight.
  5. They are optional so they don't ruin the game. I personally don't see a point bc they don't drop anything. Bragging rights I guess.
  6. Release game full of bugs. Release paid DLC. Don't fix bugs. Sell company to Microsoft. Profit. EDIT: Forgot to say that I'm getting the noise as well, today, on a new fully patched play-through. Buggiest RPG I've ever played.
  7. Hahaha, a Watcher's work is never over! Yours wouldn't be either if you could communicate with dead people
  8. He is good. But Renegade Shepard is the best.
  9. Play Superman 64 and tell me that's not a terribly designed game.
  10. The idea isn't to "base" the 3rd story on Rekke. He's just the hook to get you from PoE2 to PoE3. You could very conceivably just dump him when you return him to "Rekke Land", and go on your merry way, with Rekke having nothing more to do with the story. You know what I mean. Even as a hook, it's risky.
  11. After "Rogues are the best class" and "Wizards are useless" in PoE forums this is the crassest misjudgement I read so far (at least from a mechanical point of view). Grimoires allow Wizards to skip all spells at lvl-up (and only take passives - or in case of multiclass: take only actives from the second class) and still be able to cast spells as if he had learned them. How on Earth and Eora is that almost useless? It's THE biggest complaint of players when they compare Priests and Druids with Wizards: that the Wizard has those omnipotent Grimoires. This is so outrageous that I'm about to summon Gromnir! Rogues ARE the best class well prob not, but top 3.
  12. I'm not sure basing the end of a trilogy on a easily-miserable sidekick is a good idea
  13. Damn that's a cool idea...you shouldn't offer it for free
  14. Why not mana for Wizards? Might be too much of a change but I really enjoy how Ciphers work.
  15. I would love the darker tone of PoE1 with a remixing of PoE2 combat. Sometimes I think PoE2 wants to be Diablo. More weight to the decisions inside and outside of combat. Quality over quantity for quests. Scrap the set Grimoire system. Find a balance between archaic casting and replenishing resources. And create more interactivity outside of combat. I feel like Deadfire is very combat focused. When you're outside of it, you're looking for it. If they are serious about dispositions and relationships they should overhaul that system and create something more organic and believable, as well.
  16. That's more a damning indictment of the state of the various game wikis than it is anything else. Game guides invariably become outdated, that's not unique to this game. In fact, it is a positive thing that the developers are attempting to balance the game. I know that some take the attitude that balancing removes fun, but I don't see the fun in destroying any challenge a game has simply by picking up a broken item. It's fun to create powerful builds, strategies, and so on, but there is absolutely no skill involved in picking up an overpowered weapon and then autoattacking everything to its doom. If there is anything to bemoan, it's the fact that the developers aren't willing to take balancing further. There are many classes and subclasses that have been utter trash since the game was released, and remain so. Which ones do you think have remained so? Conjurer, for example, because you can't choose the pet you get given. Baffling. Transmuter: does anyone use this spell? Corpse-eater is embarrassingly bad. Mage-slayer's penalties are way too severe. Nalpazca is still bugged to **** because of Arcane Dampener. Darcozzi's unique ability is utter rubbish. There are probably others, but those are the ones obvious to me. Illusionist could use a tweak as well, losing access to Conjuration is fine, but Enchanting? **** that noise. Just let us choose our god-damned opposed schools and be done with it, Obsi. I'll agree on most of those...I mean enchanting is a powerful tree but has anyone actually played through the game as an Enchanter? You know what's a small crime? The Transmuter has a cool special ability, on paper. Not only is it subpar in combat, it uses the two-Club Ogre model with no clubs! You can even see their reflections. I couldn't look at it.

  18. Cast Meteor Storm and tell me you don't feel like a badass. Magic is pretty powerful, you just have to jump through some weird hoops like useless subclasses and set grimoires.
  19. Early-mid casters suck, now that's new! Never has it happened before in any game ever! =P Tell that to the BG1 wolf!
  20. Bringing up someone's dad when you know nothing about them is in the wrong...we've all gotten a little tiffed at some pt, don't make it worse, just apologize and move on. On topic, I've been itching to get back into Dragonfall. It's right up my alley (Neuromancer is my fav book - read it 5 times and have a cool hardcover anniversary edition) but I'm nervous DF will feel very archaic at this pt. Have you played it recently?
  21. The animal companion micro aside, is it any more boring than fighter / rogue / barbarian? What is the difference?I find the Rogue to be one of the most fun classes. The difference is you can talk multiple path for your build and the abilities are fun and effective. I don't think Ranger is fun and I find the abilities lacking in both style and substance.
