Agreed with those 2 items and they need to throw in the Soundtrack! :D They also need to throw in a bonus disc that puts an NPC merchant in the game which sells special weapons, armor and accessories for lots-o-gold. I want to be able to purchase something like the Dak'kons Zerth blade! :D

Isn't this game just like Diablo but without the pentagrams?
-
Wow, sounds like I'm really going to enjoy this game....as soon as eVGA sends me my FREE copy. :D

I got the Atari 2600 as a B-day gift and thought I would be playing Pac-Man non-stop but Laser Blast ended up consuming most of my time.

Just stopped playing.... Wizardry 8 - Things were going pretty smoothly up until the battles started to get way too long. I even had the mod that supposedly increased the enemy movement speed. God, I can only imagine playing this game w/o that mod....yikes! Not only were the battles boring but trying to keep my party from passing out from exhaustion was a challenge in itself. Unsure if I'll load this one up again. Currently playing.... Neverwinter Nights - Don't know why.....just got this urge to play a Wizard in a DnD game. Lots of better choices out there to do that but I haven't finished NWN yet.

I can't watch video on this piece-o-**** machine here at work but I'll look at it when I get home. I'm sure it's going to be great though. "

HEY, Superman 64 was a classic!
-
Here are a couple.... Tales of Eternia Breath of Fire III

I think the big question is, will this game be able to live up to it's critically acclaimed predecessor, Superman 64? With all the hype, I'm worried it's going to be a let down.

OMFG I just thought of something, it's.... 6-6-6 DO NOT INSTALL THE PATCH!
-
Yes well that's what they normally do. They add more fun, no they fix bugs. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't think they fixed anything. According to a few here it seems they've ADDED more problems.
-
No, it doesn't cost you anything to download the patch. If anything Bethseda should be paying you $5 to download it for all the hell they've put you through.
-
Nothing is free. You're paying for Xbox Live, aren't you?
-
I don't see any notes stating they've added "fun" to the game? Am I missing something?

Best advice I can give you is invest in spells like sleep, stop, slow that affect many enemies at once and spells that boost/defend your party. Forget about attack spells like fireball, at least in the beginning, although magic missile has saved my neck a few times. It's also a good idea to have a bard in your party as they don't use up mp when using an instrument. And instruments can be used over and over again, no ammo needed. And Hobbit bards make good rogues. You should have a Mook in your party. You should have a Ranger in your party. Also, don't forget that you can change classes anytime. But plan ahead for each of your characters because each class has requirements that could make it hard for a tank to turn into a Mage. But it's possible. My starting party is usually made up of: Hobbit Bard Dragonic Fighter Dwarf Cleric Pixie Wizard Mook Psychic Felpur Ranger Except for my Psychic and bard they all switch class to allow more variety in skills/magics. When travelling, stay close to the "walls". When attacked you're much better off in corners than in the open. Sleep in small holes and crevisses and in your formation, keep your spellcasters and long range fighters in the middle/back, keeping your back rows against the "walls" in the environment. Oh and the underwater monster is killable. Good luck. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks for the tips! Wow, you can change classes during the game?! That's pretty cool. Is there any particular reason you want to have a Mook & a Ranger in your party? I know the Ranger has search on "on" all the time and without one you need to turn it on manually which might set you up to be ambushed. Also, I read that if you take a Bard make sure to make it a female but there wasn't a reason why?

Wow....sounded like you didn't care for it that much. Thanks for the heads up.

Ok I got Wizardry 8 installed, patched, modded and ready to go. So, would any of you who have played it mind giving me some party tips for a first run through? I was going to go with 2 tanks, rogue, healer, mage and a ranger....or something along those lines. Aslo, which skills are really helpful to put points in? I played the demo over the weekend and I must say I enjoyed it. Reminded me of my M&M playing days but with a more in depth character development system. Graphics are so-so but I understand it's a 5yr old game. If the story and gameplay are great then I can deal with the dated graphics.

Actually it wasn't.

Er? I barely see anything coming out this summer, (except Madden, but ever since EA got the exclusive rights....). Almost every "good" 360 game is either on the on the computer or current gen systems. On the PC COD 2 has better multi, Oblivion has mods, GRAW is deeper, and Battlefield 2 is bigger and more tactical. The current gen sports title make the next gen sports titles look like crap, and will probaly continue to do so until 2008. The true 360 exclusive games aren't all that great, except for maybe Condemned. All in all, the 360's current game library is pretty sorry, and the lack of true backwards compatibility is really going to hurt Microsoft in the long run since the PS3 will be able to play games from the freaking PS1. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Agreed! As long as you have a decent computer there's really no reason to get a 360. Practically all the top games for the 360 are available on the PC and you get a much better gaming experience for the same price. If you really need to play with a controller just go buy a 360 controller, download the drivers and there you go. The "big" upcoming titles for the 360 will be Gears of War, Halo 3, Mass Effect and GTA 4. All those games will be released on the PC at some point.

Nope, it isn't.
