  1. Because it happens so regularly that the entire situation has just become background noise to your life?
  2. I decided to try and co-op a mission in Peace Walker I was having trouble with. Got three other guys in no time from elsewhere in the world, or at least that's what their flag emblems lead me to believe. They carl gustav fultoned the enemy like it was a game of Quake. I ended up with 84 new soldiers. They would have fultoned the other 4 but I got bored of not doing anything, so tossed out a few headshots.
  3. Not liking what I'm seeing here, but I don't know what I was expecting to begin with. Might just do a $4-500 build myself and save on OS costs with Steam OS. If you know what you're doing you're almost certainly better off building a rig yourself. Even if you add in the cost of the controller, you can still build a better rig for cheaper. I vaguely know what I'm doing, but every custom build I've had started with problems. I used to have an uncle who ran a shop that would help me, but he's moved away and got out of that business. Troubleshooting parts that simply don't want to work together was a pain in the butt. And I've seen so many memory cards that burnt up after a week and memory that failed after gaming for 15 minutes.

  5. Lego Marvel Super Heroes They make me wait this long to get Magneto and he can't even fly? There is no justice in Legoland...
  6. Three of the games I kickstarted but haven't been able to play are on that Steam OS sale. You have no idea how excited I am to find out that I'll be able to play them if I get a Steam machine. That's pretty much sold me on it right there.
  7. MMOs are absolutely fascinating places to learn about all walks of people. Star Wars Galaxies is the fuel for half the story ideas I want to tell. Personal lives, in-game actions, and everything in between. From the people willing to betray their own guild Jedi (to me) to the one guild that was run by a lesbian couple only to find out that one of the two is a man. It was absolutely heartbreaking to the guild founder. Who we later found out was also a man.
  8. Tried out some old downloadable PSP games on my PS TV. Valhalla Knights, Killzone: Liberation, and Little Big Planet The only one that might be worthy playing past the intro is LBP, but I got bored of the original PS3 game rather quick, so I don't see why I'll spend time with this one to come to the same conclusion. None of them cost me anything, so that's an upside.
  9. I'm a single player gamer for the most part, though more exclusively of late. I kind of view anything that doesn't at least inspire stories from me to be something of a waste of my time. Even multiplayer games can do that for a while, a good an intense session will generate ideas. But after I play them for a while and it seems like I've seen it all, that kind of goes away. I was already picky about what I liked to play online as it was, and with my PC down, I'm not exactly burdened with a plethora of multiplayer games that I could enjoy if I wanted to. So I don't play any at the moment. Console shooters are all very bleh with limited exception, and I respect my time too much for the grind of MMOs.
  10. Finished watching Game of Thrones Season 4 last night. It ended in some really good spots. One nice thing about only watching it on Blu-Ray is getting to marathon it once a year. A bad thing is a malaise sets in once I'm done. On the general downside for the show, everything feels slower since season 3.
  11. Finished Danganronpa 2, now I'm getting those game withdrawals.
  12. I thought about making a joke here that in order to protest this, Forum Neutrality was suspended "so everyone can see what the US government is stealing from them." It would include a screenshot of this thread photoshopped so that half the posters were all fuzzy and unreadable and a promise that if you PM me, we can discuss a pricing plan catered to your budget. But then I realized it sounded like a lot of work.
  13. I really liked part 1, thought it was absolutely charming and often funny. Doesn't seem like an instant-classic, but that's usually hard to say before the full picture is presented.
  14. Anyone here play Steins;Gate for the PC? I'm looking at it for my next acquisition after I finish Dangan Ronpa.
  15. It was also written by JMS of Babylon 5 fame. But I don't see that being popular. It barely was at the time.
  16. Doesn't the "super show" thing sound like what Remedy is trying to do with Quantum Break?
  17. Also John Riccitiello, former EA CEO, joined the board of directors. All I care about is Telltale getting their release schedule in order. C'mon people!
  18. I decided to start watching Kill la Kill since Adult Swim started showing it and stopped showing Attack on Titan. Still missed a bunch of episodes there in the middle. Anyway, not what I expected at all. Much sillier.
  19. I think it's far more likely that Sera is simply this game's "chaotic dwarf." The character that 90% of the players are too much of completionists to engage with good sense and kick from the team. With the remaining 10% being the people who can overcome that nature or the people playing another "chaotic dwarf" happy for someone to chat with.
  20. What does it mean to HAVE information? Are we getting into theoretical physics or just daily life? The human experience is simply too complicated to fully understand in the forseeable future. As for physics, well there are uncertainties, and I'm sure issues of entropy come into play if you turn every particle in the universe into a tool to measure every other particle.
  21. Dangan Ronpa 2 The mysteries are already better than the first game. I figured out the culprit in all the first game's cases before the trial started. (except case 2 where someone was intentionally screwing with evidence, so I assumed they were the culprit) First case and I went into it not having any real clue until halfway, then I kept waffling back and forth between two possibilities.
  22. My suspicion for case 2 was incorrect, but not entirely. That was a red herring.
  23. I'm really liking Dangan Ronpa, but... the mysteries so far seem kind of dumb. I had the first murderer figured out before the trial even started, just not the motive. But I did figure out the motive once a couple of details fell into place. Now I'm about to start the second trial and I'm positive I know what happened. Let's see if I'm right, spoilered for later verification.
  24. Finished Peace Walker, at least the story missions. I hope to get back for more completionist work. On to DangonRopa, the game I got a PS TV for. Been looking forward to this.
