  1. Doesn't the "super show" thing sound like what Remedy is trying to do with Quantum Break?
  2. Also John Riccitiello, former EA CEO, joined the board of directors. All I care about is Telltale getting their release schedule in order. C'mon people!
  3. I decided to start watching Kill la Kill since Adult Swim started showing it and stopped showing Attack on Titan. Still missed a bunch of episodes there in the middle. Anyway, not what I expected at all. Much sillier.
  4. I think it's far more likely that Sera is simply this game's "chaotic dwarf." The character that 90% of the players are too much of completionists to engage with good sense and kick from the team. With the remaining 10% being the people who can overcome that nature or the people playing another "chaotic dwarf" happy for someone to chat with.
  5. What does it mean to HAVE information? Are we getting into theoretical physics or just daily life? The human experience is simply too complicated to fully understand in the forseeable future. As for physics, well there are uncertainties, and I'm sure issues of entropy come into play if you turn every particle in the universe into a tool to measure every other particle.
  6. Dangan Ronpa 2 The mysteries are already better than the first game. I figured out the culprit in all the first game's cases before the trial started. (except case 2 where someone was intentionally screwing with evidence, so I assumed they were the culprit) First case and I went into it not having any real clue until halfway, then I kept waffling back and forth between two possibilities.
  7. My suspicion for case 2 was incorrect, but not entirely. That was a red herring.
  8. I'm really liking Dangan Ronpa, but... the mysteries so far seem kind of dumb. I had the first murderer figured out before the trial even started, just not the motive. But I did figure out the motive once a couple of details fell into place. Now I'm about to start the second trial and I'm positive I know what happened. Let's see if I'm right, spoilered for later verification.
  9. Finished Peace Walker, at least the story missions. I hope to get back for more completionist work. On to DangonRopa, the game I got a PS TV for. Been looking forward to this.
  10. I'm in Chapter 5 of Peace Walker. Just trying to grind for armor for Zeke while I unlock the true end.
  11. I'm pretty sure Bioware didn't create that image. I think it was BLUR who did the cinematic trailer. They tend to take liberties with character designs. Just look at DAO's cinematic trailer. Edit: Also asymmetrical armor seems to be pretty popular. Just look at ol' Douglas right above your post. Same reasoning I'd imagine. Though I don't know if it's historically accurate or just something that got popular for style.
  12. If there's one person out there who doesn't know Molyneux has screwed up, it might be Molyneux. I think there's value in trying to get him to confront it at least. I won't say RPS's attempt was the ideal way to do that, however. Here's something from a former Lionhead dev. http://techcrunch.com/2015/02/15/the-lesson-of-peter-molyneux/
  13. He's already aware. https://twitter.com/ThatTomHall/status/567566487276118016
  14. I've heard a lot about that interview at this point and my initial assumptions based on everyone else's impressions is that it's a bunch of unprofessional name calling. Now, actually skimming through, it's not half as bad as that. Yes, Walker does seem to make a fool of himself a couple of times, he gets emotional and unprofessional, but he asks some important questions. And more importantly, he gets good answers.
  15. From what we can see in the gameplay videos so far, it probably will be quite similar. And seeing how Ground Zeroes is made up, I wouldn't be surprised if Phantom Pain will get a similar mission structure as Peace Walker had. Me personally I would be happy with it. Similar in broad strokes maybe. Peace Walker and Portable Ops have their structures because they were on portable systems. They were designed so you could play in short segments with plentiful stopping points. And with the memory restrictions on the PSP. With them going for open world I don't suspect that'll be the case in Phantom Pain. Big maps with lots to do, where the mission structure in the portable games was always one thing to do at a time.
  16. Peace Walker. Got my Zeke (not working yet), got my base, got nearly 300 soldiers. Feeling good about the whole endeavor. Definitely a better game than MGS4 was. I wonder if any of the management aspects are going to return for Phantom Pain.
  17. I got bored of Rayman Origins. I just can't seem to get into straight platformers anymore. So I played Journey again. Traveling nuns as either a metaphor for life or lesbians. Either way works. Got my white robe, which is super swell. And I think I'll waste this weekend away with Peace Walker.
  18. Woohoo, got a PS TV from the lightning deal. Had to sit on the waitlist for an hour and I didn't think I would get it. I'll finally be able to play those Danganropa games.
  19. We were a promised a DOOM 4 beta. Any day now, I would think.
  20. That's just like your opinion, man! I loved Garfield as Spider-Man. But I'm one of those freaks who thinks the only thing really wrong with ASM 2 was Green Goblin. If he'd been left out it would have been fantastic.
  21. Did you guys catch the news about Spider-Man? He's going to be part of the MCU now, Sony and Marvel finally agreed to the deal. This means that the next Spider-Man movie, possibly a reboot, will be an MCU movie. He may show up in Captain America 3, but Thor 3 is being delayed to give him a slot, along with 3 other films. All leading to his inclusion in Infinity War.
  22. I barely even heard of Shadow Realms, so I'm not bothered by that. I am bothered by the claims that they'll be working on Dragon Age and Mass Effect games. The whole thing with several distant studios all pounding away at one game is something I almost never see go well. This is what Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed. And I can't imagine it's creatively fulfilling for the people at the satellites.
  23. 1966 Hobbit, now that's crazy. Though this did include Billy Zane.
  24. There was a Wheel of Time pilot on FXX last night, after midnight. 30 minutes fairly low budget and probably only created so Red Eagle could hold onto the license. It's basically the prologue of Eye of the World. They avoid doing the rising of Dragonmount, obviously because that would have cost money. It can be found on youtube, but due to the questionable legality of those links, I won't share. I feel comfortable sharing this however. Edit: Neither Brandon Sanderson nor Harriet McDougal Rigney (Robert Jordan's widow) knew about this. https://twitter.com/BrandSanderson/status/564649980775108608 https://www.facebook.com/TaverenTees
  25. Isn't the natural next step playing through Mass Effect 3? I hear the ending is superb! You're a monster.
