The FR books are my staple. I really wish someone would get off their arse and adapt some of them to TV or movies, would love to see some of the characters on screen. On a somewhat related note, can you believe how badly they botched the DragonLance Chronicles movie?

I just finished the Mistborn trilogy by Brandon Sanderson, they're absolutely perfect.

Spill your blasphemous opinions on CRPGs here

There was a civilization type game called Birth of the Federation where you could play as Ferangi, and I think you could play as Ferangi, Borg and Seven of Nine in Voyager Elite Force multiplayer. It would be hard to do romances in either, but in Elite Force multiplayer you can at least teabag the fallen. -
Alpha Protocol and Cthulhu Saves the World are on sale for around £2 each at the moment as well.

You did miss out on those pesky chickens reporting you to the guards whenever they saw you committing a crime though.

Don't stress it, you are better off as the British guy. Every Asscreed game feels like a neverending tutorial. Every Asscreed game *is* a neverending tutorial. You know most of the AC3 DLC is a tutorial as well right? When you're selling off tutorials as DLC episodes something has gone horribly wrong. And why did they abandon Conner just as he got his amazing animal spirit powers anyway? Those things rocked.

I don't suppose there's any way to use this on ME3 DLC, is there? Indirectly, you have to buy the bioware points from origin first using the love promo code, then use those to buy the ME3 dlc. Are you sure that works? It did not let me input any codes during the checkout—it seems buying fake internet currency is handled differently as purchasing actual games. I was able to input the code, but it didn't do anything. "Vitural currencies" are listed as excluded from the promotion. My mistake, sorry.

Isn't performing shameful acts in the name of love the entire point of valentine's day?

Right now and until Feb 17th 6pm GMT you can get 50% off of all purchases by using the promo code "love".

The Shale cameo in DA2 was great. Wait, what?

I remember doing a mission in one of the luxury apartments and one of the first things to happen was this crowd of people burst through the lobby doors fleeing a couple of arthopods firing brain suckers from the back. I used sleeping gas grenades to put down the crowd and then took out the arthopods without any civilian casualties, you have to love a game that allows for those kinds of things to happen randomly. Another thing that can potentially happen is that the aliens do enough damage to the city that they make most if not all of the factions (even cult of sirus as I recall?) hostile and the kind of cityscape battles that happen towards the end are just insane. One of the things I really loved about Apocalypse was how truly different the layouts were depending on where missions were taking place. With residential blocks for example it was always a given that you needed a couple of squads to wait outside all of the exits while other teams sweeped the building otherwise the aliens would run and try to flank you or exit into another zone requiring another tactical mission. I loved the fact that the aliens could escape into other zones and then depending on how many their were could either be taken out by security or could multiply and infest the place without you knowing until the problem was bad enough to raise the alarm. You could play detective in Apocalypse by looking at the graphs and figure out where the trouble spots were based on activity and where you saw the last UFOs move over in the city. Was a great game and definitely my favourite in the series.

I think it's something to do with the weight distribution dampening the piercing effect, not to mention making it extremely unwieldy to jab with. Not that a hammer with a spike on the top would be completely useless but in reality they tended to be on one of the sides of the hammerhead where you'd get the most force from the blow.

That's what he is in real life when you stop to think about it.

According to steam I've put 65 hours into Evil Genius and have never managed to get past the tutorial island

He actually has a great personal quest storyline and although he was deliberately annoying to begin with he becomes more tolerable later on.

Zombie arms, they're real!

I honestly don't understand this. Not a criticism by any means, but I can't understand how people still find stuff they missed even after they've played NV a few times already. Is it a case of me metagaming or something? Every play through, I find and complete all the quests. The only exception are when you have different factions and you can choose one side or the other. But even in those cases, I'll usually complete that quest's alternate paths in no more than 3 or 4 play throughs. Most people don't get every quest in a game like NV, that game is massive. They burn out on the gameplay, don't like to use walkthroughs and miss stuff or a new game gets released and they move on. They're wired differently so, much like I will never understand the people who collect all the feathers in Assassin's Creed, you'll probably never see a game like NV quite the way those people do and vice-versa.

That's just depressing then and I echo the sentiment of "What the hell were they thinking".

Probably something like, "This isn't ready yet but we need to ship it". Did they ever say how much work was lost with that whole dark space ending being leaked and needing to be re-done?

For those playing it, is Blackguard basically finished now or is there still quite a lot of work to do and content to impliment?
