  1. Only the pistols had unlimited ammo.
  2. I'd kill all your mothers for a Vampire Requiem RPG.
  3. Why don't they need to bring it up? Because other peoples religious beliefs do affect them. This ad campaign isn't selling anything, it's promoting an idea, and is a response to a similar campaign. Ariane Sherine visited a website advertised on a bus that told her she was going to burn in hell for eternity. "Blimey, that's a bit harsh, what should I do about this? Oh bugger it, there probably isn't a god anyway, so I'm going to stop worrying and just enjoy life."* Of course the creators of the original site could respond with a new campaign: "There totally is a God and you'll burn in hell if you don't believe in Him!" And they'd be doing it for the same reasons the atheists did, as a response to a message they believe is wrong.
  4. So it's... something else!. Well, that's not very helpful.
  5. We agree! Lets be best friends forever! Whereas you, sir, have become my arch-nemesis. The only scary fanatics are the ones I have some sort of problem with! *shakes fist*
  6. I really don't see them introducing aliens at this point.
  7. Fanataics should scare everyone. I've seen some pretty scary fanatical theists recently. Thumping on about how atheism is the cause of all the World's ills, and should be ruthlessly stamped out...
  8. I'm really looking forward to The Sims 3, what with the whole open world thingy and the fact they've completely redone the rule system. Of course the real question is, will it still take a Sim an hour to take a leak?
  9. It would seem odd to me that anyone would decide not to buy a game they were otherwise interested in based on a Yahtzee review, though I suppose some might see his reviews as "keepin' it real" as opposed to the negativity being his schitck. One reason to read reviews is to justify your own preconceived opinion (I have decided this game is awesome/crap and this positive/negative review has proven me right), and if your opinion is that a game is bad it's pretty likely that a Yahtzee review is going to agree with you, even for the games he likes. I did no such thing. I was merely pointing out that perhaps the reason the game sold as well as it did, and the reason the publishers expected it to sell even more copies, is because your opinion that it is "crap" was wrong. Or perhaps it is you who has a poor understanding of the product. So far you've said nothing about the actual product, you merely continue to repeat that you've decided it's "crap". What do you even mean by that? What does the label "crap" mean? I don't like something about this product? I have no interest in this product? There is no value in this product? Everything about this product is poor quality? Something about this product is poor quality? I know what you're getting at, but is there something pleasant about a heart attack or a broken leg? Doesn't seem like a very good analogy. If a person walks out of the cinema before the movie they were watching has finished, I could come to the conclusion that they didn't like the film, but this doesn't tell me anything about the quality of the film itself, especially since the conclusion I've come to may be wrong, perhaps they had to leave for reasons unrelated to the movie. You can explain why you think it's crap, because explanation is what makes for interesting reading.
  10. SPOILS, obviously. I guess the human cylons on Earth hadn't yet reached the point where they forgot their origins. If Ellen is one of The Five, then what is Starbuck? And why was Callum Keith Rennie seemingly so afraid of her. Anders mentioned "2000 years ago", how long ago was it that the tribes left Kobol? My theory is that the machine cylons that wiped out the human cylons on earth eventually advanced to human form themselves and settled on Kobol. I thought it was nice to see Dee and Lee back together, and it was a shock to see what she did. I could understand it though. When the future of humanity and individuals is looking so grim, she decided to go out on a high note.
  11. I don't believe Monolith have the rights to NOLF. Of course they could always do a "Project Origin" and just make a NOLF-like game, but Contract JACK didn't go down well and I'd be surprised if they suddenly went back to that franchise after all this time.
  12. People also like to label stuff as "crap" without having to actually experience it. It's as useful an analysis as calling something "awesome", but at least when folks use such labels they've probably actually played the game they're calling awesome. Yes exactly. Yes exactly what? It's strange you would agree with me when I was calling your argument ridiculous. The publishers are disappointed that sales weren't as high as they expected, it's not rocket science. Perhaps the reason for the disappointment is they believe they put out a quality product that deserved to sell more? But for some reason not only do you insist that a product you have no experience with is "crap", you assume the publishers think exactly as you do (they know the product is crap). I can't tell if you're so arrogant that you believe your opinion is some kind of objective truth, or you're just trolling. The "just because it's popular doesn't mean it's not crap" argument you're so fond of is worthless because the popularity of a product doesn't tell you anything about it's quality. It's just a way to dismiss anything and everything without bothering to put any thought into it.

  14. Maybe by not being as crappy as people like to claim. How much of it have you played?
  15. He didn't need a motive, the only thing stopping him was the man. And what did he mean by "I can tell you that and you won't do one thing to stop me or kill me."? He would run you over in a Volvo while you are crossing the street? As I recall, his precise threat was to stab me at random one night outside my house. Which would be a pretty good way to do it. Is he also a ninja as well as a satanist? Is there something about you that suggests you have absolutely no hope of fighting back? Honestly I think he'd be better off using the Volvo. No chance of falling on his own knife after stepping on his cape that way. It's like those guys on message boards for tv shows like "The Unit" who claim they can vouch for the shows authenticity because they too were once part of a secret military unit performing covert missions around the world. Anyone can make **** like that up, there is no power in it, and the only thing it says about society is that people are wankers who like to think they are more interesting then they really are. Those who can, do. Those who can't, claim they can and tell stories about how awesome they are while doing it.
  16. If you manage all three at once I'd be very impressed. Make sure you have next of kin post pics. So you don't anticipate anything? If you fall over dead tomorrow, you'll feel pretty silly having wasted so much time thinking about, well, any game not out yet.

  18. It's not a real RPG if I can't play it with my balls.
  19. Same. Lets be best friends forever!
  20. I'd go with "wanker" or "wannabe" before "Satanist".
  21. Gamebyro. Also used in Morrowind. Seriously? The same engine that did Civ IV? And a crapload of other stuff. DJ Lance Rock murdered him.
  22. Gamebyro. Also used in Morrowind.
  23. In Australia PC games still comes in a variety of boxes. Fallout 3, for example, comes in a standard DVD case, while Far Cry 2 comes in a double thickness DVD case. There is space for a number of discs even though there is only one, and the manual and map easily fit into a standard case. What a waste.
