The poorest thing about the situation is that we're only fed "information' by which sources we deem trusted. And with that, every source is somehow biased towards which ever way the favored audience is, this means that every piece of information on the specific topic is slightly different. So... We'll never really know the truth or depth of such a thing but it certainly is fun to act as if we know. After all, who doesn't like playing detective? We shall see what happens when they turn in "soon" whether that is tonight or tomorrow or God only knows when. As far as Ivanka, it's probably more likely just some new thing to make our President look bad but who knows. I am not surprised by anything these days. More importantly, Mr. Peas was pardoned today. The other was taken to the house to face the grave consequences though, this seems to be trending currently and while activists question "Why not pardon both?" The average American was thankful that one was returned to their rightful families. I thought it was funny, I would have personally ordered both to go to the house and face the consequences of migrating and living a unpolitically tainted life.

A Special Announcement From Obsidian
SonicMage117 replied to Mikey Dowling's topic in Obsidian General
Not really. It's far more likely that a game will get cancelled than be lesser in quality. And Microsoft canceling games is a rare thing as it's under extreme conditions. Maybe you mean "Microsoft will no longer let Obsidian produce the type of game I want to play, so to me it's irrelevant" which has nothing to do with quality but your acceptance if it. -
It's never too early for Christmas music!!!! Especially when Lindsey Stirling is involved

Jim Carrey response to the crisis: "Trump is a cancer, Republicans are rapists that need to be removed" https://www.breitbart.com/entertainment/2018/11/19/jim-carrey-trump-is-cancer-republicans-rapists-who-need-to-be-removed/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&fbclid=IwAR0CO3j-4OfRv-UVlSwg7FJuKU8vQsIXP7a9yW6mPMQmdliXG6MBZCxPhfo Coming from someone who says we don't exist ad there is and should be no concept of reality, morality (wrong and right) or relatism.... I found it to be very interesting that he'd care so much.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS - CON SEASON
SonicMage117 replied to Blarghagh's topic in Computer and Console
When I see the character models, the weapons, and the type of enriched environment all I can see is Quake. I don't remember veichles or an open world with side-quests being in Quake games or the Arena ones though my guess is that both of these features would had been added sooner or later. I could only assume the vehicular combat would be very similar as it's nothing like Mad Max's or the first Rage game. Feels like this game will be everything they wanted Quake(5) to be rather than everything Rage should have been. Hopefully it turns out for the good. -
Thank you. I didn't ever want to resort to the style of defensive/pre-defensive posting but even if I don't and I happen to say something of opinion that others don't like, I'm assumed a troll. Ad I mean, it doesn't have anything to do with "the reputation you've built up and now you deal with the consequences" but rather just how members are generally treated when they "step out of line". For example, I was called a troll earlier for stating my preference if video card manufacturer due to my past experiences ad the fact that I still owned a working 9800 Pro. I can't figure out why a couple members would call that trolling but that wasn't even me using defensive posts so, that has pushed me into expecting this type of reactions as the norm. It's a bad mentality but generally I respect as I am respected. I asked why I am/was viewed as a troll for the posting and am awaiting an answer because I'm not sure if I was somehow misunderstood or what happened there. It doesn't really bother me but I am just curious for the sake of it Hell, this comment may annoy people, Idk anymore lol I like this forum alot though, I'm just happy to be here and write my socks off, even if my comments are meaningless.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS - CON SEASON

I'm 50/50 on Rage 2... It looks like the perfect late 90's/early 00's Quake that we never got but at the same time, is that even a good thing? So I'm kinda excited but I'm kinda on the fence as well. -
So, pardon me but I can't for the life of me figure out how my comment trolling. I simply stated my personal experience with ATi. Did you guys just not like the fact that I said nVidia was better than newer AMD/ATi cards? Maybe that's why you both are trolling to try make me look like a troll? Or maybe you guys are like the peeps on Steam who say "Statistics show this, so you're lying, you couldn't have a good experience with X"... Either way, doesn't change the fact that I still have my 9800 Pro and an X800 for that matter, along with a 21 in Sony trinitron monitor Keep in mind, these are just old pc's for fun now more than anything else. My serious rig is a custom I built with a 1080Ti and my secondary is an Alienware Alpha my wife bought me for my birthday 3 years ago, has a little 860m gtx in there - pretty much equal to a 1050ti I suppose. Yes, I'm prepared to be told that I'm just "trolling" again, instead of getting a legit answer. Don't worry about it, I wouldn't expect any less lol (Sorry just really confused and trying to figure out where I went wrong as best as I can or if I was just being tricked.)

I picked up Horizon: Zero Dawn - Complete Edition for PS4 today for $10.00 at Gamestop, installed it and played for about 15 minutes. I can already tell it's going to be refreshing after playing Red Dead Redemption 2. I'm saving it for when I have some free time, for now still gonna work on RDR2 :D

Welcome to the forums! You're new here so I'm going to cut you some slack, sonny. -
Soma is a very underrated gem (What's new right?) I think it's strongest points are atmosphere and voice acting. It's a short game and a one plauthrough type of game but with that comes the superior game design. Simple but smart.

I just bought Horizon Zero Dawn (It's only on PS4). It's $9.99 this week, couldn't say no, it's a steal imo.

Tbh, maybe I should stay away from the Way Off Topic and Computer and Console sections. I've learned that no matter what I say, feels like most people will disagree with me on them, while people agree with me on the Pillars/Deadfire dedicated sections which I used to be more active so can't help think that the cult of people here are just different minded or expect differently. Maybe I should stick to those sections and let people have their peace, it's only the same 20-25 members anyway so...

Well, I suppose we'll always have the nay-sayers who think in opposite logics Can't win em all Wolverine. -
Well since Deadfire kept changing during development, it really never was focused in the way Pillars 1 was. When Pillars 1 was just another Baldurs Gate, Deadfire kept changing to feel something more of a hybrid of two games rather. -So, featuring dual class in the Pillars ruleset system and the naming of the classes. -Ships as a mobile stronghold. -Environmental refactoring in combat. In a way similar to Divinity: Original Sin 2 allowing you to use the environement to your advantage in such a way. There are alot of nuances and things Deadfire seems to do in Crpg genre that haven't really been done before ajd while there are about 20 (or 30?) well known indie Crpg's that released this year, every one of them bringing their own thing to the table, Deadfire seems to stand out by being unfocused in it's direction and ambitious. When Pillars 1 was much like a new BG, Deadfire feels more like a Planescape Torment. As a musician I can say, this isn't jreally true. Games are somewhat of a different beast since there are so much more variables. Even though new music is neing created every day, almost everything has pretty much been done unless you try to invent some instrument or effects pedal that has never been heard before in which case it is truly experimental. In most cases, the "experimental" genre is redundant. "Had the Beatles had a fifth member, they would have done rather well..."
