It seems they went more and more casual. First they shifted their focus to consoles, now they're shofting focus to mobile phones and Nintendo Switch. Do you guys agree? Of course all of you do. Torchlight 1/2/3 for the win!!

SW: The Old Republic - Episode VIII (May RNG Be With You)
SonicMage117 replied to Blarghagh's topic in Computer and Console
Jedism/Jediism is very symbolistic of Christianity in that it deals with absolutes. For example, you are either a Jedi or a Sith just as in Christinity, the relationship states "You are hot or cold. You cannot proceed to have one foot out and the other in". There are so many movies/books that were inspired by Christianity though. Star Wars, Lord Of The Rings, Chronicles Of Narnia, The Matrix and even the late Batman vs Superman. These all have very clear references to the Christian Bible which would be foolish not to see and that's simply because the writers intended that foreshadowing of story and hidden message in there. If you guys would like, I can link YouTube videos which explain this as well - I realize it may be hard for some to believe/follow. -
Since ShadySands told Melusina that he didn't want to give him games, Melusina hasn't been back lol Shame because he's missing out on all the fun Also, pretty sure Oner has games that Melusina has been eager to try out.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS - CON SEASON

Ubisoft lucritively defends loot boxes, blames gamers for all industry's mistakes. Sound familiar? Edit: Actually the more that I think about it, the more I relize that Ubisoft is very smart with what they said, they're not wrong. -

I get it... So you can attack/call me a troll but I can't call you a troll for stating that I'm a troll without any real reason? You must be a flat-earther as well teehee -
Fallout 4 and 76: Cautionary Tales
SonicMage117 replied to Michael_Galt's topic in Computer and Console
Look here, I know you were just trolling but Cyberpunk 2077 isn't by any definition a "Crpg". It's an first person action rpg. You need to look up exactly how CDPR describes it. Either way, 20-30 big name Crpg's came out this year alone on Steam. They're there but you just gotta open your eyes and look. Even if Obsidian stopped making Crpg's this wouldn't jeopardize the genre in any way. Also, There is no reason to stir up more negative drama by posting such bs paranoia. "Please don't become the next Bioware" FAKE NEWS Bioware is a completely different company, EA who bought them are a completely different company. They are structured very differently. There is no need for your petty concern/paranoia. Why compare these companies ahd their relationship with somwthing totally different. Irrelevant and assuming. "Do not let your heart be troubled by things that do not exist" -Imoen BTW Kotor and Pillars 1 are my favs. They are the reason I backed Deadfire, have been a Crpg fan "all my life" (in young Anakin's voice) but what is the real purpose of this thread? Seems like you're trying too hard to prove something to Obsidian though it doesn't matter, Microsoft is at the helm now. -

As most commenters/posters agreed with me I can only assume that you're the troll. Still, thanks for the comment. This will make Obsidian REALLY take you seriously. You know the typical "I don't agree with it so therefore it's trolling derp derp" that we see on forums, even though the usual forum trolls may agree with you to makevyou feel validated. When Microsoft leads Obsidian to mane a console oriented action rpg such as or similar to this, I'll be laughing and playimg it on my Xbox One while you all are left to fry in the sun Edit: Okay that was below the belt but still true narntheless hehe -
Jurassic World Evolution looks worth the money just for the insane detailon the character models and animations alone. As a massed JP fan, I only chose not to because I'm not a park building type of person - well not since my Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 days at least.

Oh damn lol You sound like me. Just be aware that this is indeed a Crpg based forum, most members here grew up with Infinity Engine games, but I agree. I think the best characters/stories in games are the ones that show relatability to humanity and relativism to their creative world. The gameplay could be horrible but if you have those things, you have a great game no matter what. Oddly enough, one of my favorite rpg's of all time has a bad storyline, doesn't have any great characters, it's Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. Just loved a lot if things in that game that made it unique.

That's just nostalgia blinding your judgement! It doesn't count, he already finished RDR2!!! I rarely go back to a game after finishing a playthrough (due to backlog that consists of older ahd newer games). One game I'm dying to get to is Psychonauts and then there's Enslaved and Enclave. But we can't put that on "Nostalgia" either since I have no memories with them - I have never played them before.

Nothing because it's a holiday today. But I thought it necessary to post this comment... Tomorrow I may or may not resume gaming but if I do, it will be Red Dead Redemption 2 of course.

That's awesome, I've only heard great things about Horizon: Zero Dawn so I'm very excited. The robot dinos ir whatever they are look awesome in their animations and designs. Additionally, just picked up God Of War (PS4) tonight for $17.99. That's a steal as well. I had no idea I was gonna puck up these games but I'm mighty thankful for the sales right now. -
As if Horozon: Zero Dawn wasn't already a steal at $9.99 usd... Just got God Of War (PS4) for $17.99. Yeah, I'm feeling pretty good about myself right now. Waiting pretty much pays fir itself

I think Planecape Torment handled it much better but fast forward thirty years in the games industry and we're seeing 3 person low-budget basement dwelling indie dev teams create better rpg's which span 8-14 hours with no filler. Sadly, they'll get overlooked/overshadowed but it's why I'm constantly checking YouTube for indoe games, the gems are just amazing in story emotion and relative theory. Well, the VGA's are based on votes. It's not the head of the VGA's itself that is responsible for what you don't like or consider "quality" to be winning. Sometimes there are rpg's have an edge in combat, mechanics, etc over being story-driven. Red Dead Redemption 2 for example, in an open world action game with more depth than even the most complex rpg's you've played. Anyway, if you truly care about what wins, you will vote or/and encourage others to vote. VOTE!

^Attractive woman, Aloy reminds me of her, although Aloy actually came first. The looks are nearly identical. I literally just got Horizon ZD just a couple days ago. It was on sale for $9.99 so I couldn't say no lol Looking forward to playing it after I've done everything in Red Dead Redemption 2. Also loved Nier: Automata Hail to the greats!!! -
Well, of course I mean... But some people will still be gullible enough to think that our President would gamble using his daughter's email to smuggle in illegal or treasonous information or convincing his daughter to do so. Ivanka is just a business person (and quite literally), Hillary is a full-scale politician. So it's not very intelligent to hear/read people compare the two, then again, this isn't uncommon and I shouldn't be surprised. Keep in mind though, that's just my perspective on the whole ordeal. I will happily accept I wrong granted the proper evidence be revealed saying otherwise. White House lays down new rules for reporters. https://youtu.be/9vhoZ7cXHBs I know many hate Fox but since CNN and NBC are saying/reporting the same exact thing and since I linked CNN and NBC before, I thought a well-deserved Fox link was permitted atm. God bless Fox news and their overly attractive brainy women!!

A Special Announcement From Obsidian
SonicMage117 replied to Mikey Dowling's topic in Obsidian General
Like I said, those were the exceptional titles canceled under extreme conditions. And looking at the amazing tittles that nobody wants to mention like:Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive, Minecraft, Forza Horizon series, State Of Decay, ReCore, Ori and The Blind Forest, Alan Wake, Max... the list literally goes on. I'm not sure why Steamworks support matters, we are lucky to get Xbox exclusives like Sunset Overdrive and Quantum Break on Steam to begin with but the games aren't broken or anything? And optimization for Microsoft's ported Xbox games have always been great. Do you just want mod support? -
Soma may just be a walking simulator and just a horror game but I found its story to be very unique. It's also short and that enabled it to be better written and more focused than most games, even linear ones. My favorite part was the ending because it kinda makes you just sit in awe and think "Something like this can actually happen in the distant future". It's fully believable, every part and that's the goodness of Soma.

Our president having fun with the press on a whole new level lol Enjoy!
