Also Trickster lowers Sneak attack by 10% only. It's not something that really matters especially if you play a Mindstalker. I find the description misleading as it states it lowers sneak attack significantly. This is not the case. Your sneak attack still increases as normal with power level. All the trickster class does is lower the final value by 10%. So at the end you will have 50% bonus damage instead of 60% when multi classing. That's 10% of 13-19 damage with a sword. Translates to 1.6 damage on average. Inconsequential.

Nouser, honestly, *if* there's a PoE3, it seems to me like the devs were lining things up for it to happen in Yezuha, where Rekke is from. There seem to be plenty of hints in PoE2 pointing in that direction. And were that the case, I think that the point would be for the Watcher to take Rekke home. However, I doubt that that's set in stone. Heck, there are no guarantees that there'll be a PoE3 at all, though it'd be VERY sad if there wasn't a 3rd installment in this series. That Rekke story sounds like a really dumb idea. Especially since Rekke isn't a full fledged party member with no investment into the story whatsoever. No I stand by the fact that PoE should not continue with the Watcher and have a new type of protagonist emerge in the future. Some time needs to have passed since PoE2. A protagonist that can deal with the fallout of Eothas' actions. Have previous party members or characters just pop up as cameo's or maybe as part of a side quest or something. Or not at all. One of the main gripes I had with PoEII was how little impact your actions in PoE seemed to have on your party. Only Eder was agreeable. Everyone else was like: ah yea we travelled together for months, shared life, misery, dreams, happiness, hardship. Oh and we stopped one of the Gods from destroying us, killed dragons and ended the hollowborn crisis. But yea now you said you don't like cookies so now I hate your guts. The introduction of your old team came off really wrong. Especially Aloth and Pallegina. If it was reallity I would have told them to piss off. Ah yes this reminds me of the time I played BG2 and killed Anomen when he started his self righteous attitude towards Jan. I dispise people like him and Durance. With a vengeance. Somehow, Aloth also went that route. It wasn't enough for me to want to kill him and kick his body into a ditch, but he wasn't far off. Not far at all. 1. I don't think that a Rekke story for PoE3 is a dumb idea at all. I also don't give a flying (you know what) about "investment in the story". If anything, that's what makes it an even better idea, not a lesser idea. I *want* to see the story get away from most of the existing companions!!! 2. I'm also very much in favor of continuing with the Watcher, but just have that story move over to Yezuha. I'd like the story to be one where perhaps the Watcher is sent to Yezuha by the Gods to investigate some new rising power there. And of course, bringing Rekke along to help out. 3. Frankly, your gripes in the 3rd paragraph don't even show up on my "radar screen". 4. I didn't like Durance either. However, I suspect that he was included because the character devs didn't want to only have nicey-nice companions. They wanted at least one who was surly and not very likable. Honestly, I wouldn't have even included him in my part, except for the fact that he was the only priest and you encountered him early (usually the 3rd companion you meet), which at least for me, made it very difficult to not use him. Also consider that not everyone who plays PoE1/2 are going to always want to play perfectly nice Watchers. Heck, given the number of people who talk about playing Bleak Walkers, it sounds like there are plenty who play Watchers who are serious jerks, since to me, a "nice" Bleak Walker seems like a total oxymoron. I can't speak for Aloth in PoE2, as I've tended to leave him in my reserves and only using him for that late game Leaden Key related personal quest, and occasionally for battles that seem to require the services of a high level wizard. Thus, I haven't had many long discussions with Aloth, but those I have had didn't seem as bad as you're making them out to be. Maybe I'm missing a lot of his personal banter. Frankly, it seems to me like you're expecting every Companion to be paragons of virtue and to like every other companion. That hardly seems realistic to me. Heck, there can be people who seem normally very pleasant. But then they encounter someone who rubs them the wrong way and it brings out the worst in them. Hey, Pallegina doesn't like overly pious people, and Eder doesn't like people who are cruel to animals. Heck, some people don't like Xoti because her constant, over the top niceness annoys them. Anyways, I think that you have unrealistic expectations if you expect every companion (and perhaps sidekick) to be likeable and get along with every other companion, 24/7 (or whatever it is on Eora). That's just not the way that people are. Ok, so the devs will have to make up yet another reason for losing all your experience, money and equipment. It was one of the least appealing parts of PoEII. Your endeavours in PoE counted for absolutely nothing. It might have as well been a different character alltogether. It's cheap and unimaginative. And it prevents the game from growing into more. A lot of people do not like change. Because it's scary. Continuing the watcher story is a bad idea. It doesn't amount to anything. There's nothing left for the watcher to do other than going to a different land and do something else. Then why have the same character(s) participate and have it follow up on deadfire? No it's a truly unimaginitive idea. There's absolutely no point in doing so. I'd love to see a new protagonist with different powers that take the story to a deeper level. Sure have Rekke participate and go to his lands. But add 10-15 years and build a new story based on past events. It allows for so much more creativity. You confuse nice with likable. Viconia and Sarevok are not nice. But they are likable. What I like is something I enjoy. This has nothing to do with a persons herritage or "allignment". Anomen is a goody two shoe full of himself self righteous a-hole. He is not likable. Keldorn is a Paladin, but he's not a self righteous a-hole. So he IS likable. Durance is a self righteous smug know it all idiot with 0 intelligence. I don't find such a person appealing to have around just so he can spout his drivel at me on how well he knows everything and also about me. I found it hilarious that he found out he was wrong about everything. Made killing him so much sweeter. He was not a sad broken person. He was a dumbass and I knew that when I met him. Although now I just kill him as he utters the words "Saw you in the flame". Like a drive by killing, sell his loot and move on. Much better that way, because early game you really need the money. Better than having someone around that lowers the average IQ of the party. With Eder around that's saying something.

How is this Easy?

If you're having a tough time and not playing a Paladin yourself you can really make your party stronger by having a Paladin there with Zealous Endurance upgrade. That will help you in the early game. You could also head to Defiance Bay as quickly as possible and pick up Pallegina there. -

That would be A Return to Court. Captain Emery is high level. But it's probably better to reach benevolent 2 or cruel 2 and convince her to stand down. Gives you a much better option later in the game Gaining this should be easy to do, especially benevolent. I'd do it as soon as possible so you can complete A return to Court. Gives some nice bonusses to your keep. Rule of thumb is: if enemies are too strong then you are too low level. Earlier incarnations of games like this were quite similar. I also think people are kind of touchy when the game ramps up its difficulty in certain parts. Like the game is pestering them. I don't remember people complaining about BG when it came out or even afterwards saying things like: Hi, I'm level 1 and I'm fighting these enemies called ankhegs and they one shot me. Screw this! Well you know what I mean

Certain parts of the game have a minimum level. The Drake area and the one beyond is one of those. I wouldn't try it untill you've levelled up a bit. It's been a while since I played, but you can complete most side quests in the early areas at around level 5 inlcuding Raedric's Hold. I wouldn't really head into the endless paths until you're level 8 or so. There's plenty to do in defiance bay. If you want you can pick up Grieving Mother (Cipher) and Hiravias (Druid) after you get to Woodend Plains to pick up Sagani. You can pick them up without fighting if you avoid combat. Hiravias is in a high level area, but if you just follow the path that curves south midway through the map you can avoid all battles. I usually complete some of the Dyrford Village quests (Ogre quest and Egg quest) after picking up Grieving Mother. The battles are really tough, but doable. The ogre quest can also net you one of the best weapons in the game. You should also be able to complete Cat and Mouse quest there. It can be done without fighting, but you get better rewards if you decide to kill stuff . -
In PoE Pallegina was very easy going and it wasn't very hard to nudge her to change the republics wishes when dealing with the anamenfath. She knew what this meant and was full ready to accept the consequences if there were any. Then when you meet her in PoEII she blames YOU for the decision SHE made. Bitch.

Just did the Bridge quest. It was super easy the second time I did it. In fact going to the same area twice gave me another soul for some reason. I think it's just confusing the first time. I didn't even realize I could take the portal at the end of the bridge. That had me frustrated for a bit. I think the quest isn't frustrating at all if you understand how it works. There's 3 light portals and three times of day. And then there's the actual portal in the back which you can only access at noon. At least there were actual puzzles. I don't even remember if PoE had puzzles.

I find priests very redundant when you can just have a druid/chanter to fullfil any and all supporting roles. Pick a paladin with any other combo and you'll have all the support you'll need and you can just pick whatever flavor you want on top. Also, isn't tactician an odd choice when a single Cipher spell can give you the same effect?
-
A single chanter/druid (Theurge) will work best. You can forgo the wizard and priest, because a lot of those things don't stack. Add another damage dealer + support with a crusader. Have a cipher in the back to AoE debuff or buff your party. If you have your mindstalker PC and Eder (Swashbuckler) with Lethandria's Devotion +crusader with exalted endurance +Theurge +cipher backline you're all set. You can add anything you want as a fifth party member. I'd suggest more damage. All of your party members will have huge stats and big regen (+4 from endurance, +1 Ancient Memory and +1 Lethandria's Devotion. Add a moonwell and you're unkillable. You don't need to cast any other defensive abilities. Perhaps maybe a Painblock if a part member does get low in a rare occasion.

Don't know if it is correct, but the following post suggests it is a random drop: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/106822-where-can-you-find-the-wahaki-tua-unique-amulet/ Which I find strange. If you really want it you can always give it to yourself through the ingame console or with Unity Console.

Wanted to update this with some more strange effects. I don't know if it has anything to do with Lord Darryns Voulge, but it has separate immunity bugs as well. I hit an enemy with a LDV attack as a bleak walker and flames of devotion. The enemy was immune to corrosive damage and just ignored all damage from the attack because the attack had +6 corrosive damage. It ignored the electricity damage and the fire damage from the rest of the attack. See screenshots. I've added a file link with a save file. I've added a second screenshot where I hit the same enemy without flames of devotion and I can do normal electricity damage and fire damage to it. The immunity is shown as immune to electricity damage in the log, but when you hover over the enemy it shows only immune to corrosive. https://www.dropbox.com/s/k0nbkl7hg6np3dy/Immunity%20bug%20save%20game.zip?dl=0

Wanted to play one, but the name is putting me off. Google: hierophant /ˈhʌɪ(ə)rə(ʊ)fant/ noun a person, especially a priest, who interprets sacred mysteries or esoteric principles. Wikipedia: A hierophant (Ancient Greek: ἱεροφάντης) is a person who brings religious congregants into the presence of that which is deemed holy.[1] The word comes from ancient Greece, where it was constructed from the combination of ta hiera, "the holy", and phainein, "to show". In Attica it was the title of the chief priest at the Eleusinian Mysteries. A hierophant is an interpreter of sacred mysteries and arcane principles. Don't know what any of that has to do with a Cipher. Sounds like this would be a combo of Wizard/Priest. Wizard/Cipher should be Mystic. It's like someone mixed them up.

The game was the tale of Hawke being retold from Varric's perspective; a rogue and a storyteller. So yeah, the enemies just seemed to keep falling from the sky. That's an interesting way of justifying it Did I miss something? I've never seen that happen in that game.It happened all the time in the console version. They are supposed to be jumping down from rooftops but it looks more like they are jumping down from the sky. It was one of the biggest complaints iirc and looked both hilarious and absurd. Console. Lol. <insert facepalm picture

The issue here is that it is very unclear which char is or will be blocking your movement once you issue an attack or move command to a certain spot. It's not just people blocking your path, but it may also be terrain. This results into unnecessary disengagement attacks, which can turn a battle into the enemies favor.
