  1. If she were like that then I'd probably kill her alongside Durance. Good riddance. Overcome your hometown dread by joining the republics and becoming a paladin, only to spout your zeal at the wrong person and end up disintegrated. Life doesn't go or end well for people like her or Durance.
  2. Will definitely wait for game to be released a while and go on sale. Especially for PC games it's just throwing yourself in a world of hurt having to wait for patches for game breaking bugs. The only game I bought full price on release in the last 10 years is Kingdom Hearts 3. And that is released on console. I may buy Cyberpunk 2077 when it comes out because that looks to be groundbreaking and frikking awesome. Been waiting for that since I saw the first trailer in 2013. Everything else in the last few years I have played was nothing close to that statement. I have enjoyed certain games more than others, but to say there was something special that I would pay full price for? Nah.
  3. I keep forgetting people don't have money laying around to just buy it when you need it. I was looking at the one step up RTX 2070. Sells for around 500 euro's. But then I don't have a 4K screen so I wonder what the point is.
  4. The door to the tower becomes interactable after you talk to the woman. You also have to wait for the on screen text to disappear before you can interact with it. I think it is by design.
  5. Here's a nice thread about getting xp before fighting anything, I think you can get to 16 easily, especially if you do a few quests that have easier fights: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/103025-guide-grow-strong-before-fighting-anything/ Oh I'm sure you can, but that would make the game utterly boring.
  6. No, not I. But Pallegina have had a lonely and pretty rough upbringing. I'm reading her as someone who wants to belong somewhere, fully belong. And she have, through her life, come to see the ducs and the republics as that, a form of hearth. Just because they cast her aside, she can't stop loving the republics. She's zealous. She's bonded with them. Yea that's also one of the reasons I don't like her. She's just so stupid. Needing someone to care for her and accept her as she is and then following those that care not one bit for her. It would've made far more sense that she bonded with the watcher and co.
  7. Well her back story is all about inflicting self harm. It's quite disturbing.
  8. I don't think people realize you can get to level 8 before arriving at neketaka without fighting enemies. You get group XP by discovering map points such as Ondra's Maw. Just stock up on supplies and go sailing. If you want you can even clear Mapping the deadfire quests 1 and 2 as they are doable before going to neketaka. This means that once you visit the queen and turn in these quests you'll be level 9. High enough to loot all the goodies in the stores. I usually leave neketaka around level 11-12.
  9. So if someone disowned you and made you lose everything you'd instantly join back up with them and try even harder? I have more pride than that I guess. Then again I'm not a one dimensional bird lady. Well given that Pallegina hates everything about herself, maybe this is her way of continuous torment. You know, hearing Pallegina's backstory in PoEII made me dislike her even more. She's just an idiot. And also a broken individual. Can't have her give her oppinions on anything. It will be laden with self crucifiction and disdain for anything close to her being. Totally untrustworthy.
  10. I don't know if steam key is a thing. You can buy games anywhere and enable them on steam and GOG as well. You can also play them without either platform. So my question is, what is a steam key? Is that even a thing?
  11. Yea, but what is a steam key. I bought games in the local store before and was able to enable them on steam as well. Those weren't "steam" keys either.
  12. Outerworlds is on steam. You can find it there. So I'm not talking about a non steam game. Just activate the product there. Adding a non steam game can always be done, but that's not what I want. There's games that were available on steam before, but now no longer can be found there. That doesn't mean you can't activate the products anymore or that you can't play previously activated products. I've done this before. You don't need to be able to buy it through steam to activate the product there and you can even activate products that you can't buy on steam. The only thing that steam has to do is have it in their library for download. I'm wondering if they will allow that.
  13. Not being sold on steam does not equate to not being available on steam. You can enter keys for games and download and play them through steam even though they are not available for purchase there.
  14. Does the MS store give me a game key which I then can add to steam?
  15. My understanding is that Valve takes 30% of the sale and Epic takes 12%.
  16. How do you feel about GOG.com exclusives? I'm actually okay with GOG exclusivity since GOG is a secure platform, unlike the Epic Store which is a spyware for the Chinese I doubt ProjektRed will go exclusive on GOG. I mean since they own the platform sure they could do it, but I highly doubt it. I've been waiting for Cyberpunk since 2013 so I'm kind of in the middle. I will most likely go to GOG if it were to only be available there. It's all upto, can I wait? How much do I want this game?
  17. If no one buys the game save for those 10 people using epic game store, will there be a sequel?
  18. I don't understand what you're saying here. Sifting through the so called "garbage" is optional. You don't have to do that.
  19. I just stopped watching sports altogether. Well save for eSports, I watch those (for ffing free). But yea, in general people will succumb. My point is more that it is wrong to punish consumers. I'm not saying people will not ultimately accept this exortion.
  20. We see the same happening with streaming services. I currently only have Netflix, but with the coming service from Disney this may mean that all Disney owned material will be moved to their own streaming service exclusively. I can totally understand this from a money making perspective. It will give Disney more control and more income in the end. For us? I would need to get another subscription and spend more money than I did before for the SAME content. Everything is being split up so if I wanted to watch GoT I need HBO, if I want to watch Stranger things I need Netflix. If I want some of the hulu exclusives I need hulu. It's a total disaster from a consumers perspective. It's unsustainable and I am not willing to spend all that money on these services and then having to switch between them. I completely understand that having exclusive content is a way to draw in customers. A streaming service is defined by it's content first and foremost. It's a bit similar when it comes to game services. There are some like Steam and GoG that have the largest marketshare and they need to be challenged. I believe this is good. What I don't think is good is to force people to use both systems. If Epic is better for developers than Steam then they should be able to offer games cheaper. Let THAT and the client determine which platform to use, not whether or not it is exclusive to something. Because that is basically controlling the herd. You don't get a choice as a consumer, you're being forced to use multiple systems to access the same content. It won't be long before these systems become unsustainable and start asking money for their services. I call it right here. And then WE as the consumer will the ones (litteraly) paying the price. The infighting in the industry and backhanded competition between services will hurt only us in the long run. Interesting read here. It's old, but it gives some insight in why Epic is in the position it is in right now. https://variety.com/2018/gaming/opinion/epic-game-store-by-the-numbers-1203089336/ Now Valve can turn the tables if they want. They have been on top for a long time and that position creates a monopoly which is unhealthy for both the industry and the gaming community as well, but at least it is clear. As long as competition is fair and even and we get a choice then I say it's ok. But if I'm force to use systems because exclusivity then I'm out.
  21. I think it is as much what you just described as it is that people don't want to use Epic platform. I also have Origin and Battle.net, but I just don't want to add anything else to that. I don't use uPlay, I don't use Epic. I don't want to. Also the Epic platform is one of the worst ones out there.
  22. Ok you go do that and let us know how that is going.
  23. So we have to give the money to another corp like Sony, who sells all games for 20% more? Since Sony is now on the warpath with censorship I feel like I actually need to boycot them.
