Some bugs in the new version
mccrispy replied to Irgy's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
It appears that Characters become locked if they somehow become "corrupted". No idea what this really means but general consensus is that you are stuck with those forever. Weirdly however, I had several locked Quest Mode characters that became unlocked under circumstances that I cannot fully explain - though it involved clearing the Cache/Data from Google Play/Store and probably PACG (I'm on Android, obviously), I also deleted my PACG1_SAVE_GAMES. I was doing a lot of experimenting with trying to get sync to work properly so that I could safely play on two devices (though not simultaneously). That never worked, but somehow, at some point, my locked characters magically unlocked. -

Interesting exploit. Useful compensating factor for the fact that it doesn't give the expected D4+4 to characters with Arcane (another long-standing bug). -
Some bugs in the new version
mccrispy replied to Irgy's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
This is a known issue that the Devs have committed to fixing at some point. It's actually quite a far-reaching bug in that *any* skill-specific Blessing where the skill dice is a D4 or D6 will only give a single die bonus. So giving a Gorum to Amiri will give 2D12, but giving it to Kyra or Ezren will give 1D6. It's a massively annoying bug that seriously affects my ability to play my characters effectively and I hope it gets fixed in 1.1.4.1. -
As Irgy says, always check the skill drop-down when this happens. Pick the skill that you want to use, not the one that the game auto-selects for you. Frankly, something seems to have happened to the auto-select with 1.1.4 and I find myself checking the skill selector for the best dice/bonus option on very nearly every check that isn't a single weapon/spell card There's a general issue with cancelled discards (Leoni's Beast Form, Merisiel's Sneak Attack). Devs are aware and there will be a fix in a future patch (but whether it's 1.1.4.1 or 1.1.4.6 is anybody's guess) Since we had the "improved" UI in 1.1.3.8 there have been a number of visual bugs. A VRT (vault round-trip) fixes most issues - you don't normally have to go back to Main Menu. Try a VRT when this happens. Report back if the VRT doesn't fix it.

The +6 comes from "Approach to Thistletop". I had forgotten Driving Rain's contribution - there's a certain lack of consistency in the UI that makes it hard to check (not that you should have to check, you know, you should be able to rely on the App to get it right). So let's take the first example: Gogmurt 10, AtT +6, Driving Rain +2, Discarded "Thorns" -2 for a total modifier of +6 = Gogmurt, 16 Anybody spot where the extra +1 comes from? Then look at the second example Gogmurt 12, AtT +6 (from the first check!), AtT +8 (from the second check), DR +2, Thorns -2, for a total modifier of +14 = Gogmurt, 26 (yes, I know that the two AtT modifiers shouldn't have an effect, but if they don't have an effect they shouldn't show up either! So you see my point? Either the maths is wrong or the display of modifiers is wrong or the logic is wrong or... well, it's messed up and needs fixing.

Wow! Is that a new Legendary feature of AP4? You have to assign a character to a location from which they cannot move? That's all kinds of broken, completely Nerfs Amiri (it's unusual to target a character with a penalty) and means some character combos are just impractical. I hope that's not what is intended!

Some bugs in the new version
mccrispy replied to Irgy's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Thanks Nirven, I have AP4, but I'm backfilling my Story characters that got screwed over during the Upgrade/Party Disbanding of my 1.1.4 update process, so I haven't got around to playing it yet. (FWIW, I lost 7 of my Story Mode experienced characters and lost my Legendary completion of APs 1-3 and am now going back over APs 1-3 with the 5 experienced characters to get my Legendary completion, then I'll get the other characters complete at Normal level on APs 1-3 and *then* I'll start AP4. It's not that I won't still be reporting bugs on APs 1-3 content on build 1.1.4!) -

Can you tell us what your device and OS version on the device are? Having to doubletap to display the zoomed card isn't something that I recognise from my Android use, if it happened as a bug it would happen to everyone and it hasn't been widely reported (or at all that I can remember), so it might be your config. Do you remember the name of the Henchman? It might help in narrowing things down Widely reported already. Devs know about it and it will get fixed "some time", it's a long outstanding bug Thanks for reporting this one! It's one that I have seen myself, but it flies under my radar for "minor bugs I can't be aresed to report in the great scheme of things". Glad somebody got around to doing so. Known issue, severally reported. Happens with other checks too - such as Merisiel's Sneak Attack. Devs know about it and it will be fixed in due course (but who knows when?) Ouch! Not seen this one (I'm glad to say). Though you have a keen eye to spot it, I'd have probably just missed it. I'm afraid that getting bugs it a bit of a two-way street. If we don't provide the detail for the Devs to find and repro the bug, they likely won't get around to fixing it as other (easier to repro) bugs will jump the queue. Not documenting bugs that are intermittent or hard to trace is like saying "something went wrong, go fix it"... unhelpful in the main. The Devs have provided a template to help capture the circumstances of the issue, it does save time. -
Device: Blustacks emulator OS: Android 5.1 PACG build: 1.1.4 Pass & Play: OFF Permadeath: OFF Mode: Story Party Members: Amiri, Sajan, Kyra, Merisiel, Ezren, Seelah Turn Order: as party Scenario: 1.5 (Thistletop Delve) Difficulty: Legendary Wildcards: Full Pack, Painful Memories (Scenario: Boon Checks +3) - yes, that was fun! Location: Garrison Trigger: Nualia Issue number 1: Encountered Nualia in at least two different locations and with multiple characters present at the location. Nualia damage rolled was 4 on a D4 every freakin' time. Seriously, must have had 8+ rolls and all of them came up 4. Randomisers, huh? Why bother with them? Issue number 2: I can't remember the exact details, but I kept being surprised by taking less damage than I thought I should. Can't remember whether it was Nualia only, or other Henchmen/Monsters too, but it happened on a number of occasions (enough to be noteworthy). None of the characters other than Amiri (Thick Skin) has damage reducing powers. Besides, the damage reduction always seemed to be 2. Issue 3: Kyra and Amiri met Nualia at Garrison. Ezren was elsewhere and put up Incendiary Cloud for them. Kyra went first and succeeded her check by discarding the Flaming Mace (her only card left having taken 4 damage); next went Amiri - at which point I realised that Ezrens's IC had be cancelled! Fortuaately we beat Nualia, but it wasn't the end of the Scenario, so we didn't end there. When Kyra's turn ended Ezren didn't get the chance to Recharge his IC - it had just "gone". It wasn't even in his Discard pile (I didn't check his Deck).
-
Well, it had to happen - I'd always suspected that there was some smartness in the Scenario generator for Wildcards that prevented this, but it turns out I was wrong; it really is just a "random" picker of Scenario Power + 2 Wildcards independent of Scenario Power/Wildcard. I wish they'd address this because Legendary varies from "annoying, but easier than Heroic" to "FFS, you must be joking". Here's the interesting combo that I didn't think would ever happen. Craaaaazeeeee! LOL!

sneak attack bug?
mccrispy replied to gza's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
'cos I can have 8 of them in my Gallery and make sure loads of characters can "scry", whereas there's only 2(?) Spyglass. Wayfinder is a "Scrying Item", which makes it similar to Spyglass in my book - just really, really Nerfed. -
Rolls Die and then Doesn't Progress

Good catch - I'll try to make sure my memory retains that fo next time. Thanks [edit: I've updated my first post to eliminate dumb, erroneous information that might damage other people's game] -
sneak attack bug?
mccrispy replied to gza's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Pretty sure you should get the card back on cancel - it's not really a cancel otherwise, is it? If you can't get the card back, it shouldn't offer cancel Never used paralyze, but it should work against "non-Villain monsters". Though there's also a bug logged that it's missing the Attack trait. Whether this has any bearing, I don't know. Re Abadar's... I think that the answer is "yes" :D (except that you can use it to encounter Henchmen) a bit like the Wayfinder is a weakened (but lower level?) version of Spyglass -
Rolls Die and then Doesn't Progress
mccrispy replied to AFKhaos's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Well, if a round-trip to the vault didn't fix it and it persists between purging the local data that indicates that the "bad data" has been stored in the cloud. The only thing that I can suggest (and it's a good job that you're on Android) is to take a copy of then delete the /android/data/net.obsidian.pacg1/files/PACG1_SAVE_GAMES/SLOT0x where x is a number from 1 - 9, you'll have to check the dates on the game.sav file. folder then start a new scenario without closing the game. You will lose your progress on that scenario, but hopefully you should be back in the game. It seems as though sync from the cloud only happens at logon, but sync to the cloud happens repeatedly during the game (or that's what has been reported in this forum), so this should (a) be safe and (b) work. If, before you start you copy the whole PACG1_SAVE_GAMES folder, zip it and post it here, the Devs can post-mortem the issue (they likely won't get time to fix the issue for you before your need to play becomes too great to resist the suggested workaround) -
Hey Aarik, the workaround that you found, is it only valid for Mondkuss's Role selection issue? I spent 20 minutes running through a scenario to level my 38s and see whether I would be able to use this workaround for the problem with assigning two Feats in one post-scenario, but I was unable to do so. Could you provide a little more detail for your workaround please? I made sure that all my Power pages had been scrolled to the bottom - but of course as soon as you change which character you're working on it resets the Power Feat page to the top. I assigned the first Power Feat and hit the Advance arrow, but it wouldn't let me interact with the Power Feat pages for the second reward. The Completion and Skills pages were all screwed up too. Here's some screenies:

Blessing of Sarenae not working
mccrispy replied to Rolth's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
It's not all Specialised Blessings. It seems only to be skill-related ones. For instance Abadar and Novgorod (Barriers and Boons) seem OK. Though I don't think that it's linked to Combat Checks specifically either. Of course it doesn't help that the "auto- skill-selector" makes a mess of it for some types of check (switching to a 2 dice skill instead of the 3 dice skill) -
Bug: Role unlock & power feat unlock
mccrispy replied to Slin2678's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I have experienced a similar issue related to awarding Power Feats (it breaks if you ever have to assign two Feats after one Scenario). The workaround that I employed was to delete SLOT99 and play without the affected characters until (hopefully) the next patch. So now I have 7 level 40s and 5 level 38s who are waiting for Feats and a patch before they can be used again. -
[1.4.1] Dice graphics rendering issue
mccrispy replied to mccrispy's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
This is definitely an issue related to AMIDuOS. I have installed BlueStacks (which I hate because it's an App Launcher with "free added bloatware" rather than an OS emulator) and it works perfectly fine in this respect. So I've put in a support request with AMIDuOS (and I have less hope of getting a response/fix there than I ever have with issues here). -
Dice Dice Dice
mccrispy replied to Darkren's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
You just did give feedback! :D I agree with you: I'd prefer to see assignment of custom dice on a "per character instance" basis and the current UI (because it's a retro-fit) is totally appalling. The worst. -
There seems to be an issue with awarding multiple Power Feats. I logged an issue where in Quest Mode I had characters being awarded two Power Feats (as a result of a fix to a previous bug that denied them the Feats). Like you, I was able to assign the first Feat, but the game locked out on the second Feat. My only fix was to delete the SLOT99 saved game (I believe that it's SLOT98 for Story Mode) so I could at least go play the other characters that didn't miss out on Feats. I'm not sure what the fix is for Story Mode. Possibly delete the saved game and then disband the party so that you don't trigger it again until the Devs fix it (hopefully in the next patch, 'cos it's pretty high impact and affects a lot of people) Here's my post for reference http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/89445-141-quest-catch-up-on-rewards-of-feats-hits-progression-break/?hl=feats
