You do realise that this is not a real-time support forum and that most of the posters do so out of good will/community spirit rather than being OBS employees? In general, if you're itching to get back to playing the game and are blocked by a progression break, the best thing is to post your saved games folder (though on iOS I don't think you can) so the Devs can post mortem it and then find your own workaround and post it back here so others can search the forum and get "real-time" help that way. In that regard, thanks for posting your workaround (I know, it barely counts as a "workaround" does it? But there often isn't much that you can do if the UI completely unresponsive

Wand of Enervation bug in 1.1.4
mccrispy replied to mplain's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
It's a "known issue" much (redundantly) reported and the Devs "are on it". Try searching for "wand of enervation" and see how many hits you get. When it'll make it into a patch is anybody's guess. But it seems that bugs that affect a single item (especially a rare/reward item) are very far down the prioritisation. -
Barl Breakbones Bug (3x to Defeat?)
mccrispy replied to Bajie's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
And my point is that with a high cadence of releases, they don't get given time to fix all the major bugs, while at the same time they are introducing new features that add bugs, or indeed (cf. BoGorum) are adding completely new bugs from scratch. The net count of bugs is not going down and we are very far away from ZBB! -
Barl Breakbones Bug (3x to Defeat?)
mccrispy replied to Bajie's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I'm absolutely certain that the Devs fix as many bugs as they are given time to fix. That's why I didn't refer to Devs in my post. -
OK, so this is a long-standing bug that I find frustrating, though it doesn't affect gameplay. But it's got to the point that it annoys me so... I have two Lini's in Quest Mode (no dupes in Story, so not tested). When I use the arrow buttons on the screen to move from character to character (instead of tapping the portrait) it gets confused when it reaches a duplicate character. In the attached screenie if I move past the second Lini (level 38 "Shifter Lini") it will jump not to Valeros as you'd expect, but to Acrobat Meri! If I go "backwards" from Shifter Lini then I go, not to Amiri, but to CelestSeoni.

Barl Breakbones Bug (3x to Defeat?)
mccrispy replied to Bajie's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Yeah, not all bugs got fixed in 1.1.4 (or 1.4.1 depending on which versioning you use) and unfortunately some more got added. The program manager doesn't seem to feel the need to address all significant bugs between fixes and is happy to let all those but the most massive ones ride, how they choose which to fix beats me, but there's bugs that have been around for build after build after build. -
[1.4.1] Dice graphics rendering issue
mccrispy replied to mccrispy's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I've improved things with an updated driver, but everything still has a "dull" look and any die that has black numbering is very hard to read. The VM has 3096 MB of RAM but it does run a little slow. I'll see whether I can tweak it further (though very little is exposed other than assigning RAM to the VM -
Actually doesn't let you recharge (you "zoom" the card and no "Recharge" button is displayed) or the Recharge symbol doesn't appear in the top right hand corner of the card when it's in your hand? I know it seems a silly question, but I see the graphical glitch a lot (or I did, can't remember whether that is a 1.3.8 bug or a 1.4.1 bug) and it took me a while to realise that it's only a graphical glitch.

This is the first bug that actually makes me angry! There have been many bugs in this App but this is the one that has made my game hugely more annoying to play. I rely a lot on using skill matched Blessings to boost checks for characters with low skill and this bug completey eliminates that strategy. So now all my characters fail all their non-combat checks (with the exception - thank goodness of Barriers 'cos the Blessing of Abadar gives 2 dice to a Barrier check and so is unaffected by the skill match bug) because I'm lucky enough to always get D4/D6 non-combat checks. This needs fixing as a matter of extreme urgency - a week is too long to wait for this fix, especially as it was introduced in this patch so it must have come from the changes made for this patch.

I've just finished a Story mode session where I used several Major Cures on the caster and it all seemed to work OK - and I had my eyes peeled because I'd read this post before I started my session. I'll double-check and report back. [EDIT: I experienced this today. No idea why I thought it was working OK previously]

Well, that was a lovely surprise! As I've now purchased AP4 I thought that I'd do some party maintenance before starting out on the Campaign again. (I'd previously completed AP3 with every character except Harsk and my main party had completed on Legendary.) None of my original parties contained characters that were in other parties - as I bought new characters with Gold I created a new party once I had enough new characters to form a party. So imagine my surprise when - after deleting all my characters - I had "Kyra 3", "Sajan 2", etc. Not only that, but some characters didn't appear in the Experienced tab and some of those that did appear on the tab had zero progress - even having their starting Decks. Wonderful! Of course I have no idea which Patch is responsible for this delightful situation as I completed AP3 a very long time ago and had no reason to do anything with Story mode until today. Ho-hum, another setback courtesy of this terrible App. Great game, terrible implementation; Quality Assurance, what's that?

I has been commented on multiple times in these forums that the "auto-optimise" choices are a bit odd when you add a Blessing to a check. There are some much stranger things that occur than the situation you describe here (including some where it becomes impossible to choose the "correct" skill). It's tricky for the Devs: unless they write some code the works out what would give you the highest average roll they are always going to be criticised. Similarly, it's not unheard of for me to choose two larger dice over several smaller dice because there's a better chance of getting an extreme value on a roll that I'm "chancing". It annoys me when the "auto-optimise" kicks in in these situations. All of which goes to say that you just have to manage the skill check selector in a very proactive manner because there's no way that the code will always get it "right".

Let's take some damage
mccrispy replied to Kiirnodel's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I'v commented myself (http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/88989-general-widely-varying-difficulties-at-heroic-and-legendary/?do=findComment&comment=1841045) on the wide range of difficulty presented by Wildcard/Scenario combos. They really do seem to allow all combinations and generate them completely randomly, which can lead to Legendary Scenarios where the only "penalty" is that you don't get to collect any loot all the way up to massively tough Henchmen plus loads of unblockable damage and all checks are +N. The only combo that I don't think that I've seen is Painful Memories with Full Packs. -
Bad synching between devices?
mccrispy replied to LemLover's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
No, step 3 is meant as written. The idea is to finish the session on Device A and then force a re-sync by logging on again on Device A, Exiting on A again ensures that you don't have two Devices logged in on PACG at the same time. -
Bad synching between devices?
mccrispy replied to LemLover's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
So if you are correct and wanted to play on Device A and Device B all you would need to do to guarantee sync would be: Finish your session on Device A and close the App Reload the App on Device A and make sure that you have logged on Exit the game on Device A Start the game on Device B and make sure that you have logged on -
Bad synching between devices?
mccrispy replied to LemLover's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Yup, I've noted previously that it's risky relying on Sync to... welll... sync. In other words - it simply doesn't do its job. I myself have finished a Scenario, closed the App, and either left the device alone for a significant time or even powered it down, after which I've fired up a second device from which I've previously deleted the Saved Games folder only to find that I've lost experience (to the point of losing levels). I've tried everything I can think of to force Device A to sync to PlayFab and for Device B to pick up the synchronised data from PlayFab: it just does not work with sufficient levels of reliability. -
I felt it worth noting that the issue was still present after the upgrade to 1.4.1 - especially as they were focussed on Ogrekin as a source of bugs. I should also have referenced your post, sorry. I noticed that not all the Ogrekin are labelled with four 1s, some are correctly numbered as you have noted. The issue where the text overflows the box also still exists.

I have posted the saved files, but I've deleted SLOT99 on my device so that I can level up my characters that aren't missing Feats. I can confirm that all characters that I've levelled to 39 or 40 and that haven't previously missed a Feat have levelled up correctly. I'm going to try the two characters that are missing Card Feats to see whether the issue is with gaining two Feats, or just with gaining 2 Power Feats. SAVED GAME PowerFeatBug-2016-10-06.zip

[1.4.1] Dice graphics rendering issue
mccrispy replied to mccrispy's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
There's definitely something weird going on here! As I try to assign dice, any dice shown in the top right of the screen show up fine, anywhere else it's all wrong. Then when I select a die that looks usable in the Gallery, it doesn't look the same in the game when being played. more screenies: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/g8k4je16kthztre/AABswV8ROPHINsu3BMqW6Wrma?dl=0
