  1. There are an increasing number of reports of Henchmen "auto-rolling" combat checks. Welcome to the club! I know that it doesn't help to hear that, neither does it help to know that there are no workarounds. All we can do is hope it gets fixed. Soon.
  2. That's interesting, I use "Quest" to continue Quests because I found that Continue always took me to Story - even when I had no Story Scenario in progress.
  3. Exiting to the main menu and then "Continue" the game works to reset some things as well. Certainly not all of the time, but quite frequently. That's interesting - especially as "Continue" is Story Mode functionality.
  4. I've changed the title of this because Quest Mode is completely dead now: nothing I do gets me past the progression break.
  5. When (note that I say "when") that happens, try hitting Settings/Vault, then hit Back. This seems to force a full refresh of the displayed game and often fixes issues relating to what is/should be on the screen. I refer to this as "performing a VRT" (Vault Round-Trip). Always attempt this before Forfeiting.
  6. Can you explain in more detail what you mean by "I'm not able to start any of the starting locations"? What screen are you stuck on, what buttons are on screen? What steps have you done up to the point where you got stuck? A screenie of the screen that you're stuck at would be great.
  7. Device: Hudl 2 OS: Android 5.1 PACG build: 1.1.3 Pass & Play: OFF Permadeath: OFF Mode: Quest Difficulty: Heroic The party encountered Rogors Craesby and Seoni attempted to temporarily close the Waterfront. The Bandit was summoned and... nothing. Screenie link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/7vcitcv5m0amcla/AABMVZS94VKTWCmJ0OmGJHXNa?dl=0 Saved file: PACG1_SAVE_GAMES.zip
  8. Not sure that it's restricted to Apple devices, my Android tablet gets exceedingly hot when the game is loaded (it doesn't have to be active, I can put the tablet down with the game on a scenario screen and it still stays super-hot)
  9. That's interesting because I think there's a general issue with Divine Checks and effects that add dice to non-combat Divine Checks. I've noticed that I can use Blessings for Wisdom or Charisma (depending on Character) to attempt Divine Checks vs Villains (can't for the life of me remember which Villain though). I remember being surprised that the Check didn't count as a Combat Divine check, but put it down to my lack of understanding of what constituted a Combat Divine Check vs. a non-Combat Divine Check. (Myself, I'd have thought that any check listed in the top right corner of a non-Barrier Bane would be a Combat Check, but - as I say - maybe that's my misunderstanding). I'll keep an eye out for instances of this issue and report back with screenies if I can.
  10. You did read the previous comments right?... I did, and your point is... what, exactly? I'm reporting my experience, not yours or anybody else's. I spot and report quite a number of bugs *every* release and this time around *I* have seen fewer game-breaking bugs than heretofore.
  11. Device: Hudl 2 OS: Android 5.1 PACG build: 1.1.3 Kyra took damage from a Zombie Minion (I know, right! Bad die rolls can still screw you over). She had both the Hide Armour of Fire Resistance and the Locksmith Armour. So which to play (obviously the Locksmith: her Disable is D4 so adding a D4 won't make a difference and I want to save Fire Resistance for when it's needed) But here's the odd part: the Locksmith shows the Recharge Icon, but the Fire Resistance only shows the "shield" (discard?) symbol. Which one is correct? Screenies attached https://www.dropbox.com/sh/me11xou0k3ivkin/AAAtJ2cvYuNZSASj7RzAUOaIa?dl=0
  12. Device: Hudl 2 OS: Android 5.1 PACG build: 1.1.3 Pass & Play: OFF Permadeath: OFF Mode: Quest Party Members: Harsk, Amiri, Lini Turn Order: per party Scenario:? Difficulty: not sure Heroic/Legendary for sure Wildcards: unsure Location: Farmhouse Trigger: Reveal Wayfinder on "off turn" Character At the end of her turn Amiri drew the Wayfinder so after Lini loaded (at the Apothocary) I switched to Amiri and Revealed the Wayfinder. The Location name appeared above the left hand panel and the card count changed all as expected. However, there was an Examine button shown under the deck but up to this point, the Farmhouse deck had not been Examined. But Lini had Examined her deck with the Spyglass. So what was I looking at? the Apothocary deck with the wrong card count, or the Farmhouse deck with an incorrectly displayed Examine button? I didn't want to find out, so I cancelled the Wayfinder and went back to Lini's turn, using the Wayfinder normally on Amiri's turn. screenies provided https://www.dropbox.com/sh/uq8t2euuvmjmegu/AAC0fatHYzLqUBoLnbi476Vra?dl=0
  13. Device: Hudl 2 OS: Android 5.1 PACG build: 1.1.3 Pass & Play: OFF Permadeath: OFF Mode: Quest Party Members: Seoni, Valeros, Lem, Harsk Turn Order: per party Scenario: ? Difficulty: Legendary Wildcards: Driving Rain, Arrow Traps, Scenario: Poison Damage on defeat Undead Location: Junk Beach Trigger: Permanent Closue/Draw Items Valeros and Lem were at Junk Beach. On a previous turn I had used a Spyglass to examine the Location Deck and found the Villain (RG). Valeros started the fight with the Villain. Can't remember whether V passed his Constitution check or not (probably not as I don't waste the Blessings unless they give 2 dice because just adding one die nearly always fails and wastes the Blessing and I don't have many Constitution Blessings). However, he passed his first Combat Check (can't remember how) then Lem took the second Combat Check with Holy Light. Villain Defeated! So I get offered the D6 to roll for Items and the one I'm offered is the Brooch of Shielding. But it doesn't drop into my hand, it just stays on display with no buttons or anything. All the game buttons (Main Menu, Settings, etc.) still work "VRT" I think to myself, that usually fixes it! Wrong, on coming back from the Vault I'm offered the roll again. But I get a different die result and the top item is Holy Candle. Still doesn't drop into my hand or offer buttons. I could do this all day - and may have to as I can't get past this point. I've uploaded my saved files PACG1_SAVE_GAMES_2016-09-15-0935.zip
  14. I so rarely use the Spyglass for its bonus to perception that I've never noticed. I have several, so I'll see if I get the chance to check for you. Try here also the Kohl of... whatever, I'll see if that behaves the same.
  15. If you check the "active powers"panel on the left before you Roll, it gives you a breakdown of the effects that modify the value on the card (not all of them unfortunately, but the most significant ones)
  16. This "card short" UI is somewhat clunky and non-intuitive to me. IIRC, I had a similar problem in that a character was short a card and the party loot didn't contain a replacement, so the game wanted me to pick a Basic card for my Deck to make up numbers. I *think* how I did it was to select the character with missing cards, select the type of card, then hit the arrow. At that point I was offered Basic cards to choose from.
  17. I had a recent example where I defeated Rat Swarm by more than the required +4 and still took damage. So yes, I've seen it. I guess the main questions are : (1) did the "Banished" animation happen for the Bane and (2) were you playing on Heroic or Legendary and being dealt damage by Wildcards
  18. This is the correct functionality. Dice are assigned to a character within a party. If the character leaves or the party disbands, that leaving character (or the whole disbanded party) will have default blue dice. The reason this is done is to give a bit of colleciton to the game, without getting out of hand. Instead of requiring a unique set of dice to be assigned to every character, since a party size is maxed at 6, the most copies of a dice set you'll ever need are 6 (one for each party member). I'm confused! Firstly - and I'm only taking about Quest mode here - my dice selections seem to stick on a per character basis. I have to assign the dice within a Party, but once I play through a scenario the dice assignment sticks. I agree with RedPred: I don't particularly want to use a single legendary dice skin for my entire party, or even for particular roles ("tank", message, etc.), I want to assign skins to individual Characters, regardless of party. The way it's done at the moment is, IMO, daft.
  19. The game is "a little rough around the edges" for sure - and it's not a rare event to have to Forfeit a game because of a "progression block". I've been in your situation many times with this game, particularly with builds before 1.1.3 In those builds Legendary mode was so buggy that I had to play in a manner that took into account those bugs to avoid major frustration, I also had to plan my games so that I didn't miss out on gaining important Feats through a particularly serious bug. But I think that we've passed some kind of watershed with 1.1.3: the bugs now seem to be mainly minor - occasionally as annoying as heck, but minor. It may be that I've got used to the nature of the bugs and have built up a suite of workarounds, it may even be that I've become accustomed to the buggy nature of the App, but in spite of it all the gameplay keeps me coming back, even when I rage-quit and give myself a day's "cool off" and maybe even rage-post here. Should all this be necessary? Should the App be of significantly better quality when folk are paying proper money? Should the APs already be available when folks have paid up front for them? Yes to all the above! Personally I hope that OBS sort out the quality issues and re-focus on important game features rather than frippery/chrome. They clearly need help from the community of enthusiasts (and in its current state that's what it really is: a game for enthusiasts), which is why I continue to log every new issue that I find - to the extent that I logged nearly a dozen issues in my first two plays after 1.1.3 released. to;dr stick with it, it has made significant improvements recently and it will get better with the input from a community of enthusiasts.
  20. Next time you get a progression break, try a round trip to the Vault. As long as the UI accepts input (it doesn't always), you should be able to VRT and this often (but not always) fixes this sort of issue.
  21. Yes, and some corrections as typos. For instance, Superior Leather Armour had IIRC exactly the same identity crisis, but was errata'd to Light. The question if whether this is a common error (from template copy/paste perhaps), or intentional. I don't have my physical game to hand to be able to check (if indeed Gale Armour is in the physical game - it's not in the errata file so I couldn't check the text)
  22. I reviewed that thread. Here's my understanding: • Playing the Wand changes the skill check to a "no skill" check and permits you to roll 4D6 • Playing a Blessing adds one die (because it doesn't match the type of check) • the type of die added is D6 because that's the type of die defined by the "no skill" check in this instance • you cannot play a weapon or a spell on the check because the die has already been defined by the "no skill" die So it's a bug.
  23. That makes sense - except if it doesn't log you on IIRC you can tap the GooglePlay badge and it logs you in. Of course if you failed to log in as a result of connectivity issues this won't help
  24. Does a Vault round trip work or do you have to Forfeit, or (worse) kill the game?
  25. Since I posted my reply I have used Gale Armour, Harsk and Amiri, they all seem to work as expected. However I cannot be sure that I have actually triggered a Discard rather than going direct to Reset as normal. I'll give it a try next time I'm up.
