Game frozen!
mccrispy replied to runslikeawelshman's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
The patch that fixes it will be the next patch released: 1.1.4.3. However there's no ETA, but OBS have at least posted a "patch preview" http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/89848-patch-preview-for-1143/. I hope this means that it's likely to happen this week as my game is pretty much dead due to this bug and to the Quest level cap not being lifted with 1.1.4. -
Patch Preview for 1.1.4.3 (Now Live)
mccrispy replied to Aarik D's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Announcements & News
That's good to know - if all it takes to get it all to work is to make the buttons work. Hardly explains the complete game Lock-up. But as long as I don't lose any more progress or characters or levels or Feats, I guess it's ok... isn't it? -
Patch Preview for 1.1.4.3 (Now Live)
mccrispy replied to Aarik D's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Announcements & News
Will the fix for Kyra's power bug also unlock games that are locked because of this bug? (And unlock them so that they can be played from that point, not unlocked by deleting the game). It's great to know that you know there's a bug and that you intend to fix it, but it's now October 24 and I still have a locked game 3 days after this announcement. -
It's bad enough that my Quest characters are level-capped because the level cap didn't come off with AD4 so Quest mode is dead to me that I have to modify how I play to take into account the numerous bugs that set traps that will break the game if certain circumstances arise that some of my Story mode characters are still missing Feats, so I'm playing with a permanent handicap But now my Story mode game is locked because of the <ExpletiveDeleted> Kyra bug! http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/89861-bug-game-locked-by-kyras-exorcist-self-heal, which means that Story mode is also dead to me. Game minus Story Mode minus Quest Mode = zero game + very angry customer Sure, I could delete the game.sav and lose the progress that I've made in the scenario so far - as well as some of the sweet sweet Boons that I've worked hard to get in this scenario - But I don't want to and I shouldn't have to. I am very, very angry at this point (as you can probably tell). For crying out loud OBS get this fixed! Get it fixed NOW I don't normally vent on forums, but this has got me so steamed because of the number of bugs that I've reported and the increasing number of bugs that I'm seeing reported by others, bugs that just don't get fixed in a timely manner. When they do get fixed the fix almost invariably introduces new bugs (1.1.4.1 fixed the Ogrekin bug - only not quite - but introduced the Immortal Summoner bug; 1.1.4.2 fixed the Immortal Summoner bug but introduced the Exorcist Heal Lock bug). I get the feeling that the game is just spiralling out of OBS's ability to control it. Personally, I will never, ever, spend a penny of my money on this game. There is nothing that OBS could do to persuade me that it's worth actual money, no addon, no super shiny feature, nothing could be worth paying for: I've already spent more of my time=money helping to identify bugs in this extended and thankless beta test than I feel that it's worth (despite how much I like the game). So I'm out until the Exorcist Heal Lock bug is fixed and the fix unlocks my game in progress.

Oh for goodness sake! How long do we have to wait to get this one fixed! Sandpoint Under Siege. Another bug
mccrispy replied to znajoma's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
It would really, really help if you described the bug in your subject rather than unhelpfully put a generic subject like this one. Imagine if everyone just did that: how the heck would anyone be able to track anything in the forum? Nasty bug BTW. -
Bug: Ezran infinate turns
mccrispy replied to Gherkin's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
This is exactly why Ezren always goes to the General Store first! If it's not magical generally the General Store power lets him Explore again, and if it is magical... well then Ezren's own power lets him Explore again. It's a beautiful synergy. I'm very disappointed if it takes more than 2 turns for him to clear the location completely -
graul ogrekin broken
mccrispy replied to gza's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
If you search the forum before posting you will see that there is often a post for the most obvious bugs. In that post you might find a workaround or the Dev's response. For this particular issue, the Ogrekin issue was supposed to be fixed in 1.1.4.1 (shows as 662 in "Settings") but it appears to be still present in 1.1.4.2 (664) if you have the "checks vs. Giants 1D4/2D4" wildcard. http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/89758-1141-ogrekin-auto-defeat-bug-still-exists/ http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/89862-1142-graul-ogrekin-still-has-problems-in-quest-mode/ Hopefully a moderator will come along and merge this thread with the other(s) -
Yes, I have Magic Spyglass and that "top three" is such a powerful effect that I never use the Perception bonus. Merisiel has one of each of Magic Spyglass, Spyglass and Kohl It really makes playing her as an Assassin fun. To edit the subject of the thread you first hit "Edit" for your first post (I guess you worked that out right ), then hit the "Use Full Editor" button and you should find that you have access to the Subject. It might not work exactly like that as the UI seems to be a bit browser-dependant. The other button that you might see IIRC is "More Post/Reply Options"

I just had a problem selecting a Feat myself tonight. I cannot remember which Feat it was but it was one of those in a "levelling up" series but that isn't connected to the rest in the series and therefore should be selectable irrespective of what level the rest of the series has reached. (Sorry, clumsy description). If I remember which Feat it was, I'll update this post. Is Dawnflower's Favourite a similar Feat, or part of a linked series (they have a sort of border around them)?

Game's getting hevier...
mccrispy replied to MauGibrin's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Well that's not very helpful is it? That's effectively saying "on my system that I can throw as much memory and disk space at it, with huge numbers of power processors and even separate GPU processing, it runs fine. Well, duh! no surprise there then But I guess it says that the game isn't inherently "crashy" (as opposed to "buggy", which it most definitely is) As a matter of interest, I gave up on AMIDuos after patch 1.1.3.8 (I think) because once OBS had "improved" the UI (and added all those z-order issues), all my custom dice stopped displaying properly on my system. Try as I might with every BIOS and GPU setting combo, I never could restore the beauty of those dice. So now I play on the execrable BlueStacks, which at least displays properly even if I have (near) zero control over the virtual machine configuration. I have a Lenovo W520 with 16GB RAM and Integrated Intel graphics + Nvidia Quadro 2000 GPU, what's your setup for AMIDuos? (This maybe should be a separate thread...) -
Stuck Loading
mccrispy replied to Bardmedicine's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Did the game recently update automatically or did you do so manually? If so (and you are on Android) it might be that the OBB file didn't get downloaded for some reason (I've had this and the symptom is that the game starts loading, but after a few seconds the "Starknife" icon in the bottom right of the screen stops spinning). You can check for the presence of the OBB by looking in Android/OBB/net.obsidian.pacg1, you should see a file called main.230200664.net.obsidian.pacg1.obb, which is the OBB for the current build. If it's missing then that's your problem for sure, if the last three digits are lower than 664 then you have an out of date version. If the OBB isn't downloading it might be a connectivity issue, or you may need to clear the cache for the Google Play/Store services (don't ask me why this works, but it's the workaround I've used in the past. Be warned, you will have to set up your Store/Play account again if you do this) -
Endless Sinspawn
mccrispy replied to Tiltowait's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
You guys on 662 should be on 664 (unless you really like playing against "Immortal Summoners" - i.e. any Villain that summons as its first effect is immortal). This shows as version 1.1.4.2 in the Google Play store. I'm surprised that there's no forced update (unless you're playing offline) -
Cant reduce damage from malugus kreeg
mccrispy replied to brobbeh's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Hmmm... that's not right is it? How did you determine that you couldn't use the armours? Did you zoom them and get no recharge/discard/bury buttons or did you try dragging the cards to the discard/bury/recharge piles on the screen? Obviously I'll suggest that you try whichever method you didn't try Sometimes I get weird effects with the UI not showing the usage icons on Armours but they still work properly. These sorts of UI-related issues (or indeed many other issues where the game "forgets" what it's supposed to do next) can be fixed by a VRT (Vault Round-Trip). -
Welcome to the forum! It might help you to search the forum before you post a "new" bug, not only might you find a solution to your problem, but you'll avoid reducing the signal to noise ratio for the Devs who are looking for stuff that needs their attention. This bug has been widely reported and the Devs know about it and it is scheduled for a fix "sometime".

I reported this in 1.1.4.1 http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/89758-1141-ogrekin-auto-defeat-bug-still-exists/ I'm not surprised that it didn't get fixed in 1.1.4.2 as 1.1.4.1 was the "Ogrekin bug" patch and 1.1.4.2 was the "Immortal Summoners" patch that came out as an emergency when 1.1.4.1 introduced immortal summoners. We'll probably have to wait for the next major scheduled patch for a fix to this one.

I did mention the 24 character limit in my first response to the OP. I suspect that may be the issue as the OP mentions "I wanted to start a new party from scratch but it seems I can't because it says I must delete characters". Hopefully the OP will post back after they have caught up on some sleep.
-
Could you perhaps describe what you are doing step by step and describe what the App does in response? Perhaps you could post screenshots. Simply saying "if I choose new characters it doesn't work" and expecting us to intuit a diagnosis isn't realistic. These community support forums are a two-way street, you have to help us to help you.

Feedback about this forum
mccrispy posted a question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Can I just say that today for the first time I since I started posting, I noticed that there were more posts with an OBS contribution flag than without. This is a good thing! For several weeks I've been diligently posting bugs but feeling largely ignored by OBS - and as the community can't fix bugs this has led to an increasing level of dissatisfaction. Now however, I can see that OBS have at least read many of my bug posts (and of course those of others). This is a good thing! Now I feel that there's some value in my taking the effort to create bug posts as OBS aren't just cherry picking the money-related posts to respond to. I might even start to feel that some progress is being made! Thank you.-

Deleting a Party only "disbands" the party, it doesn't delete characters. Those characters remain available on the "experienced" tab for you to make into new parties so you can try different combinations of characters. As Hannibal_PJV says, if you want a new party whose members have starting decks and that have made no progress on their Completion tab then you choose Characters from the "new" tab. If you have 24(?) experienced story mode characters already, you will have to delete some experienced characters so that you can create some more from the templates ("New" characters are really just templates for creating actual characters that join parties). There's a limit of 24 characters per mode (story/quest) - I guess this is to allow two builds per character (one for each Role).

Patch Notes for Update 1.1.4.1!
mccrispy replied to Mikey Dowling's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Announcements & News
Two things: why no patch notes for 1.1.4.2 where the heck is 1.1.4.3 (and its patch notes) Stop working on new features (and the bugs that you introduce with them) and fix the bugs in the features that we actually need to play the game properly. Please. Really, please. If you fixed a major bug every week and released a patch every week, instead of holding off releasing bug fixes while you added new features, we'd have a much more robust code base and a more playable game. Ever heard the phrase "polishing a turd"? OK, turd's a bit strong in this context, but moldy apple is close.
