  1. OK, there's something really screwy going on at the Temple! First it was Harpy Monks that caused much strangeness (see here and here) and now it's Alu-Demon Sisters. Device: BlueStacks emulator OS: Android 5.1 PACG build: 1.1.5.1 (704) Pass & Play: OFF Permadeath: OFF Mode: Story Party Members: Seelah, Kyra, Valeros, Merisiel, Sajan, Ezren Turn Order: per party Scenario: 5.3 Difficulty: Normal Wildcards: none Location: Temple Trigger: Alu-Demon Sister So here's what happened: It was the first round of the Scenario. Kyra and Lem were at the Temple. Kyra encountered a Blessing of the Gods, which she discarded to Explore again; she encountered a Blessing of Lamashtu, which she then Recharged to Explore again (BoL being the current Blessing). Now she Encountered a Alu-Demon Sister. She played her Flaming Mace +1 for D6+5 + 2D8 (she has Enemy Lore: Outsider. Ezren (at the Academy) passed his Check to allow him to cast Swipe (pretty nearly my favourite spell so far!) to reduce the check from 17 to 14. The dice changed to D6+5 + 1D8! So I did a VRT in the hope that would give me my D8 back. When I got back to the game it was Ezren's Turn and he was rolling a D4 vs a Mirror Image Combat Check. WTF? To make it more weird he doesn't have Mirror Image (it never works - at least it's so unreliable that none of my casters use it, success rates being well below 25%) and he hadn't encountered anything yet, so why would he be doing damage resolution anyway? In the attached screenies you can see that Ezren is current character, Blessings are at 28 (but Ezren is character 5 of 6). You can also see that Ezren has several combat spells that are available for play - note that Scorching Ray doesn't work against the ADS as she's immune to fire. Note that Kyra's Mace is no longer in play and that her Holy Light is not available for play. So what the heck is going on?

As the product is still in extended beta and because I invest a significant amount of my time outside playing the game in bug reporting, etc. I will not spend a single penny of real currency on any content for the game. Sure, fancy stuff is nice, but I'd rather have an essentially bug free game. If OBS need the revenue from these packs to fund/justify development of the game, I get that, but until the product is of commercial quality I don't think it's worth supporting commercially (i.e. with money).
  3. What!? Is that new with a recent update? I've been using the club with Valeros for a long time, I'm sure I'd have noticed that. I'll have a check now and report back(that is if the darn thing ever cycles into my hand - last scenario I had a real issue with only one weapon amongst all the starting hands: Valeros had a bow but Merisiel, Kyra and Sajan had nothing for several rounds!)
  4. Oh, nice! Sounds like you need to ensure that you either travel together (risky!) or you split in two groups moving in opposite directions (slightly less risky, but still risky). I can't think of any other approach that guarantees that you'll always be able to move to an open location.
  5. I wish there was a magic bullet: all I have is a toolcase with a range of different hammers. Unfortunately, you can only find the right hammer by trying them all until one works. Occasionally you get a bent nail or a sore thumb. Sorry about that
  6. So why haven't we seen reports of issues with Seelah? I regularly have more than 3 cards in my "Examine" pile (Seelah seems to find the Villain at the bottom of the Location Deck, so those boons just keep accumulating at the bottom). I'll keep an eye open for it. Or is it just the reveal/arrange that causes the issue?
  7. If a VRT doesn't work and going to Main Menu/Closing/Killing App doesn't work it may be that you can use the Shirosama Solution. Be aware that for Quest mode this will mean losing progress in the current Quest Scenario - but it might unlock your game for you.

When I have a missing card count to resolve I find that the most reliable way to get it to progress is to select the character with a missing card and hit the button at the bottom of the screen that matches the missing card type. At this point it usually populates the available cards row and everything works OK. It's not normally necessary to hit the "advance" button to trigger the card selection at the end of a scenario IME.
  9. If a VRT (Vault Round-Trip) doesn't work, then an App Shutdown often won't either (though for some reason killing the App sometimes does). It appears that sometimes starting a Scenario with another party can help. I have no idea why any of this should be the case (though an explanation of the effectiveness of the VRT has been provided somewhere), it's just my experiences that I'm sharing.
  10. So, despite "we'll look into it" it's been 6 weeks and 3 patches and it's still not fixed. Still, at least there have been some fancy upgrades to the UI, which we didn't need, so that's a consolation.
  11. A VRT (Vault Round-Trip) is pretty much the first port of call any time something goes wrong with the way the game is displayed. By "the way the game is displayed" I mean that what you are presented with on the screen doesn't match your expectation for that instant in the gameplay or where what is displayed doesn't match what the game allows you to do. Bottom line: something screwy? VRT! Watch out though, 'cos often it'll force a re-roll of the last dice roll that triggered the problem (sometimes this is good, sometimes it is very, very bad)

This triggered again for me today Device: BlueStacks emulator OS: Android 5.1 PACG build: 1.1.5 Pass & Play: OFF Permadeath: OFF Mode: Story Party Members: Seoni, Lem, Harsk, Lini, Amiri Turn Order: per party Scenario: either 4.1 or 4.2 I can't remember Difficulty: Legendary Wildcards: can't remember Location: nope, not that one either Trigger: Mass Cure Lem and Amiri were in the same location but it was Harsk's turn. Lem cast Mass Cure to Heal Amiri, which worked, but it didn't heal Lem. So my guess is that one of the triggers is an off-turn Cure. (A later Major Cure by Lini on herself on her turn did work OK)
  13. Try switch between characters many times, and then take upper power feat for each character. End then change you shoose on what you want. It work for me. Before this was "fixed" in 1.1.4.3 I was told that the workaround was to make sure that I had scrolled to the bottom of every page. I didn't get a lot of clarity on that, but it sounds as though that's what you have done in your "fiddling" and that that may have helped. May have.
  14. The problem is that it's an intermittent bug - one that doesn't happen every game and one that can switch states during a game. I find it hard to maintain a buffer of the last two/three turns in my head so that when a bug like this triggers I am able to stop and document things. Rest assured that I am trying to track down the issue. When (if ever) I have it nailed I'll report back.
  15. And this is one of the reasons that we need a character editor! We need (and deserve) the ability to rebuild characters to work around bugs or to correct choices that we were forced into because of bugs.
  16. Dude, if you played and you didn't have a bug: you weren't looking. Either that, or you just filtered out the ones that you're used to so you "didn't have any new bugs". I have never played PACG and not noticed a bug - either new, or "known issue". You can perhaps tell this from the number of bugs that I post. Seriously, I know that you love OBS and PACG, but you've got to be honest: we're still in an extended beta and we're nowhere near ZBB. I worked in one of the largest software companies in the world, I know what a finished or near-finished product looks like and this ain't it. (Doesn't mean that I don't love the game: I wouldn't put in so many hours both on the game and in these forums and I wouldn't get so cross/frustrated if I thought that it was an unredeemable crock of the proverbial)
  17. Yeah! My least helpful thread title: "some bugs". When I see one of those I know I'm going to be into a wall of issues that will rapidly spiral into an untrackable mess.

The skill selector defaulted to Divine (I guess because Seoni has a bigger Divine skill die than Combat skill die. But, being a Divine check, her Wand of Enervation didn't apply (it only applies to Combat Checks). So I had to manually switch to Combat and use the WoE. I know that the logic behind the skill selector isn't very smart and has required several fixes recently, but can we please find a way to reduce the number of manual interventions needed, rather then increase them as seems to have happened recently?

The overlay for the Location Deck went screwy (just like with every time somebody plays Scrying/Augury) and I had to use a VRT to reset the UI.

You can see the modifier is -9 (an unusual rolled 4!). Obviously this has been much reported elsewhere. Issue 2: The die that was rolled for the WoE counted as a die rolled for the Check and so it modified the Check by a further -1. I know that the Legendary Under Jorgenfist scenario power is something like "Modify -1 for each die rolled on check", but I'm surprised that the WoE die roll counts. But I guess that it might do.

She used Beast Form to gain the Fire Trait, but I stupidly discarded her Ally to pay for Beast Form. I added a few cards and got Sniper Fire from Harsk to add some more dice/bonuses to cancel out the Scenario Effect (-1 per die on Henchmen and Villains). Realising my mistake I cancelled all the cards played but the difficulty modifier didn't reset properly. In this screenie you can see (1) the base difficulty is -4 even though no effects are showing and (2) that the Troll has turned invisible!
  23. I decided to try Forfeiting the game as it was clearly stuck. Fortunately this worked so I can now try again. At least you (OBS) have the data. If it happens again I'll post back to the thread.
  24. I'm a strong advocate of "one bug, one post". It's far easier for everyone to track the conversation on each bug and it doesn't hide the number of issues being reported. The only thing that I would add to that would be to check whether you are reporting a new bug (or at least a new report on the current patch).
  25. You find your PFID in the Settings dialogue box and your 4 digit ID appears at the top of the Main Menu screen.
