  1. Some people have experienced problems discarding/burying cards. If you can't zoom the card then hit an appropriate button (discard/bury/draw) try dragging the card to the correct location (discard/bury/hand/deck) - or if you can't drag, try zooming then using a button. If that doesn't work, you can try a VRT (Vault Round-Trip) though if you've closed the game it might not fix it. If none of that works, you may have to Forfeit, you won't get any rewards, but at least you'll keep any Boons you've gained.
  2. That's excellent news! Was the Party doing a run-through on Normal difficulty, or Heroic/Legendary? Could you mark the thread as answered please? It helps other folks find a solution and saves cycles for people who are looking to help.
  3. If you delete a party you won't lose any character progression, but you will lose party progression. While this isn't important in terms of acquiring Feats, it is significant for Heroic and Legendary progress and for the Legendary completion reward. Or that's my understanding and my experience of being forced to delete a party (actually, having a party deleted during an upgrade)
  4. Also hinted at: it won't be released on Friday ('cos they don't like working weekends for some reason). So that leaves a couple of days. Sweet. I'm not holding my breath. Besides, I've pretty much abandoned PACG as I've acquired Arkham Horror: The Card Game. It's hard so play solo, but at least it doesn't arbitrarily lock me out until the next patch or block me from doing things that the rules say I should be able to do, or randomly crap on me in a manner that I couldn't possibly prepare for. I'll probably take a break until they fix Quest mode (and that's a ways off as they've said that it's AP6 and PC first).

I'm really just posting this for the LOLs, but the card display wouldn't close so I hit VRT and got this Fortunately, going back to the game found everything fixed (well, visually I mean, not the myriad bugs, obviously) Oh yeah, and did you notice that I have 1288 of 1258 somethings? Whatever they are.
  6. The "solution" is to wait for the fix. I suspect that it will be in 1.1.5.2 but that it might delay the release of 1.1.5.2. Not that we have a patch schedule to compare against for "delays"
  7. You raise a good point about OBS not caring enough. I'm not sure that it's that exactly, but I'm sure that they don't test properly. Of course if they do test properly, then you are right: they don't care, because then they *know* about the quality issues but release anyway. Of course you could say that they don't care because they don't test properly. That may be true, but I suspect that it's more of a financial decision at a more senior level (but still not caring, but at a layer removed from the folks we deal with). In my experience the things most subject to feeling the financial pinch are (in my experience and having worked in all these areas): documentation, training, security and quality.
  8. to expand a little on SGT's post: is it the party that has been deleted, or the characters? If it's the party then you can simply recreate the party and continue (though IIRC you'll have lost the progression in Heroic/Legendary that the party may have made - but not the progress at Normal). If it's the characters (i.e. they are missing from the "Experienced" tab in character selection) then, well, I suspect that you're screwed. Hopefully SGT will have a solution once you've responded.
  9. I'm afraid that this is a known issue. You must have missed out on gaining a Role for Merisiel (perhaps by not having her in the party when you did the qualifying scenario, or perhaps she died in that scenario).   10. Seelah gets the same ability as a power later on (when she doesn't need it 'cos her weapons should all be magical by then). The number of times that I've forgotten that Lini in particular doesn't defeat undead with her huge wisdom checks... It's even worse when you've carefully stacked a deck and then you forget!
  11. I suspect that StormbringerGT means it was discovered by OBS and has also been fixed for the next patch. I believe that 1.1.5.2 is due this week (though I can't remember where I saw that stated/hinted at)
  12. @aznknight: don't think for one minute that I am defending OBS or suggesting that it's OK for the game to lock up and arbitrarily screw your game despite your careful planning and understanding/exploiting (in an skillful manner) the rules/card powers. It isn't OK and I'm not defending them. At all. Quite the reverse.
  13. Hey, I never said the App was bug-free (neither did I say that your experience was intentional, just that Legendary is supposed to be - arbitrarily - difficult, so you should expect to have to play better in order to win, planning being part of that)
  14. Surely, part of the difficulty of the Legendary restriction on movement is forcing you to plan your initial character distribution? If you do it wrong, you can expect to suffer (of course the whole thing can go down the toilet if you meet a frickin' Harpy). Legendary difficulty means you have to think and plan more, not just commit more Blessings to your checks and do more healing. (Not that I don't feel your pain!)

  16. I don't know for sure, but my suspicion has always been that it's purely a data collection exercise for OBS. Any time I get proper stuck (very rare because there are a range of ways of low-impact workarounds), I post my saved game and apply whatever workaround is necessary to get me back playing again. You've already missed out on nearly two weeks of gaming, how long are you prepared to wait for them to fix it?
  17. During 5.5 you cannot move to the Runeforge until all locations are closed. During Scenario setup this is shown on the map by putting a padlock over the Runeforge. During the Scenario, when you Move, the Runeforge is also shown with a padlock and you cannot move to it. However, if you consult the map during the scenario (as I do frequently, to remind myself where everyone is - especially when playing on Legendary), the padlock is missing and the normal Runeforge icon is displayed.
  18. Here's a screenshot of a tablet interface showing Harsk with an 8-card hand at the end of his turn but with the Crypts closed. (This is an awesome exploit: park Harsk on this location when it's closed and have 8 cards to use in support via Sniper!)
  19. Agreed. If I have a crappy item on hand and it doesn't screw with my "always be able to close your Location" strategy​ then I'll do it. But in Scenarios where a failed attempt at closing a Location is a major setback, I'm unwilling to take that particular risk (the cost in Blessings and Allies for the extra Explores and Combat Checks, not to mention the Blessings needed for a Closure Check when the Character has a D4 for the required skill is simply to much in my experience - with a party of 6 one or two failures to Close a Location can sink my game). This is particularly noticeable when all checks are being increased by 2D4.
  20. It shouldn't work in his deck because he isn't discarding the Weapon to play it, he is discarding the weapon to pay for an effect - even though the effect is on the Weapon itself. It's not the same as "or discard this card for an extra D10+3", it's "discard a card to..." you just happen to choose the MC to power the effect. But I agree with you in that the buttons are stupid (and misleading in the manner you describe). There is no "discard this card" effect as there is on many other weapons so it should behave like - for instance the Black Arrow Bow (or whatever the giant-slaying bow is called). However, when the "discard upto 1 card" effect fires you should then be able to select any card (including MC) and hit the "Discard" button. What the devs did is effectively a shortcut but it implies an effect that doesn't exist.
  21. Fine, you have a better insight to the code than do I. But the code still incorrectly triggers a "successful recharge check" on a "Recharge:Automatic", which is wrong because that's implementing a code feature for convenience and so introducing a check that doesn't exist in the physical. So it's a bug regardless of the technical detail of how it arises.
  22. Right with you on the Merisiel Blessing thing. Really confuses the heck out of me when I get to recharge on Exploring or (IIRC) on boosting other Characters. It's broken. But as I can't opt out of the difficulty enhancing bugs, I'm happy to take the smooth with the rough and not opt out of the Nerfing bugs.
  23. In this thread, there's a lot of discussion about discard/recharge instead/bury. It has been posited that all Recharge Instead effects are implemented as auto-succeed recharge effects. Of course that can't be so for Valeros' power, because there is no recharge check for a Weapon. However, it does appear that the multiple issues are in some manner related.
