  1. OK, I shall continue as I have then. I certainly have no intention of exceeding the parameters that you describe! I may be brusque on occasion(s), but I try to avoid downright rudeness. And yes, believe it or not, I have no personal animosity toward OBS Devs: I'm sure that they are doing the best that they can with the resources that they have available. Which is why I criticise, in the hope that it gives them ammunition to use in discussions with the layer of OBS management the we have zero access to. You know, the bean-counters who can hide away from the consequences of decisions by not being in the front line so that their decisions are "strategic and for the good of the company" (read "short-term bottom line"). Still, that's enough of a thread de-rail. Back to logging bugs and complaining
  2. Bug for sure. I seem to remember there's a few things that can be done before your first explore and that lose you your explore (though my search-fu fails me) - none of which is intentional IIRC. We've had some trouble with end of turn effects, so it looks as though the turn logic isn't as robust as it should be.
  3. Both issues reported in several previous threads http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/90322-1151-seoni-supports-lini-with-woe-also-transfers-wosr-to-lini http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/89354-teleporting-card http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/89341-seoni-lini-unintended-card-transfer https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/90214-115-wand-of-envervation-two-issues
  4. I don't think that the reset is a bug. I think that it's intentional because once you've rolled the die for the WoE you can't be allowed to cancel and re-roll, so that gets set as the new base check difficulty against which all further adjustments are made. I have seen card transfers happen (and it's been reported several times other than the jolyonb's own post that they refer to in their reply). What isn't 100% certain is the trigger for the card transfer. http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/90322-1151-seoni-supports-lini-with-woe-also-transfers-wosr-to-lini http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/89354-teleporting-card http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/89341-seoni-lini-unintended-card-transfer
  5. You can also PM forum moderators if you're not sure if something should be reported or not. Good call! I think some frustration is understandable; it's seen in all forums I've been a part of when bugs have been encountered. Indeed. As I understand it the PACG ap has ten people on the team and only two that I've seen checking the forums - at least to post. We don't know if anyone has logged issues without posting. With a patch pending the team may be focusing on getting the patch out rather than posting here. I think we can at best just post as much information about bugs we encounter and wait for Obsidian to check the threads and fix the issues. I can assure you that people do post without using the forum - I've done it myself (and received no response, so I post here so at least others can get a head's up). I sure hope that OBS are up to their collective necks in fixing bugs (not creating more bug-riddled features), otherwise there is no excuse for their lack of presence on the forum.
  6. Not quite what I meant by "personal". Directed at you isn't the same as "personal" . Not sure that I agree with your approach to "visitations from above", my belief is that the roles are reversed: OBS should be darn grateful that we collect and share as much data as we do and for such scant return on our investment. Instead, they largely fail to acknowledge our posts, let alone fix the bugs. I don't come to this forum for "camaraderie", I have no interest in a "community" that sets the terms of its membership or requires me to be a "good boy" and not complain: I come here to report issues with a (dwindling) expectation that something good (in terms of the game) will come of my efforts.
  7. Personally, I would prefer that members of the forum avoid policing the forums. It doesn't help any and engenders bad feelings. If you have issues with a person, take it up with them personally, not in a public forum. If you have really serious issues with a post, use the report button. The forum has moderators after all. As to expressing anger in these forums, I see that as entirely valid (as long no names are called and reasonable propriety is observed). I'm not a big fan of looking at the positive side of every issue - my experience is that it tends to mask real problems that need to be addressed. Mind you, it's not as though OBS have a high hit rate with responding to posts - currently less than 1 in 10. So what's the value in posting a metric tonne of information if you have little to no expectation that OBS will even have the curtesy to acknowledge the post - let alone actually fix the bug? There's a limit to how much "community support" can really do here (other than making us all - misguidedly - feel good that we're doing something).
  8. Snark? What snark? Seems a perfectly reasonable request made in an entirely reasonable tone. In fact I even used a role model as the basis for my post.
  9. Well, it seems a very rare event for the App to crash at the end of 5-2. We'd have heard a lot about it by now. So it's probably specific to your device. Perhaps to could do some experimenting for us to find a little more detail about the exact triggers for character deletion so that the devs can get more detail? Was it the crash that led to the deletion or just the deleting of the party? Without detail of the exact triggers, I don't see how the Devs can find this bug. If it's really a bug - I haven't seen it.
  10. I wasn't replying to you at all. My comment was addressed to elcoderdude.
  11. Dude, if we could figure out what the trigger was, we'd say so. Are you saying that it's our responsibility as users to invest time in performing experiments to determine the cause? 'Cos to me, that sounds like the task of the development team. Our job is surely to say "here's something wrong and here's our best understanding of the circumstances". But the thing is, if the trigger isn't immediate (like, say Merisiel's recharging of Blessing) where cause and effect are directly linked, it can be difficult for an end-user to spot, when they are focussing on playing the game, which is the job of the end-user.
  12. @Flounder: Re Quest Mode: I'd ask that whatever you do respects the fact that there are current players who prefer to play Story Mode without Treasure. Quest mode is where we play with the treasure that we have spent our gold/cash on. That requires separate characters for Story and Quest mode. For me, Quest mode should be the "playground mode" of PACG, where we get to try out all the odd combinations of location cards that we don't access during Story Mode (usually as a result of party numbers) - it's not about the story, it's about the craic.
  13. The Icon on the corner of the card should explain why you have the buttons that you have. If there's a Shield icon then you should be able to recharge, but if there's a padlock then the power of the shield is being blocked per Ethics Gradient's comment and you'll have to discard. Only trouble is that those icons aren't 100% reliable IME (yes, a bug, would you believe?)
  14. Frankly, Harpy Monks are a serious candidate the most griefing card in the game in my experience. My advice: seriously try to avoid meeting them at the Temple (I dare you, search this forum see why I hate 'em so).
  15. Sort of. This isn't a "I didn't get my stuff" it's a "where the heck did all my stuff go?". But worth a punt anyway.
  16. We used have a lot of problems with Nualia (I really hate her ability to roll 4s on a D4), but I thought that they'd been fixed. Good to know she's still a PitA
  17. Yup, there's some definite weirdness going on with bonuses and cancelled cards (it happens with weapons and items too). In the past, when I've noticed it happen, I've tried a VRT (vault round-trip), but sometimes that has made the situation worse, so now I don't bother with a VRT unless the issue with the bonus is going to cause me a major problem.
  18. Yup, it's been reported before (as far back as May 2016). I guess that it's a very low priority fix for them as (I suspect) so few people use potions, or at least for this particular purpose.
  19. In Quest mode it will be as though you never started that Scenario - so minimal impact. In Story mode it's a bit more serious as you'll also delete the party when you delete the game.sav. You won't lose the Characters, but you will lose the party progress, which is really only significant for Heroic/Legendary progression.
  20. Let's hope that catches their attention. Sadly, they've fallen back on their old ways and the proportion of posts on the first three pages having an OBS tag has fallen below 10% again. I'm hoping that's because they're finalising a patch so they are too busy. One can have hopes, right?
  21. Sorry That's how things are behaving right now. Inheritor's Favor works, Inheritor's Favorite is broken. Hopefully a fix is somewhere off on the horizon. Actually, it's "Inheritor's Favour works", "Inheritor's Favourite doesn't work and breaks Inheritor's Favour". It wouldn't be too bad if Favourite was a NULL Feat, but it actually breaks Favour too.
  22. That's ridiculous! Can you show some screenshots of combat checks where weapon proficiency isn't applied? If you can click on the "active effects" panel before you take the screenie, we'll be able to see some of the effects that might be triggering and contributing. If this was a general issue, we'd have heard about it immediately patch 1.1.5.1 was deployed, the wailing and gnashing of teeth would have been audible across the globe! Therefore there's something odd about your situation. Providing as much info as you can might help us to help you. See the post OBS made on reporting supporting information http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/86274-reporting-issues-useful-information-to-provide/?p=1803748
  23. You're going to need assistance from OBS to fix this one (assuming that you are using the same account on the same OS as when you bought the content). The best way to get their attention is to change the title to indicate that "Purchased scenarios and characters have disappeared" they seem to react to the keyword "Purchase" better than to bugs. Perhaps if you just add my phrase to the end of your subject it will suffice.
  24. If you're on Android you can grab the game.sav file, zip it up and post it here. Then you can delete your save and move on. If you're on iOS then grabbing the save file is not likely to be practical.
